  • I set up and demonstrate the VAGKRI Evaporative Cooler operation. This baby does what it says it will do. It beats a fan blowing the same hot air on you.

Pizza and beer night... whatta combo. So in essence, the item tested simply created a cool zone in that hot n muggy atmosphere...I can see many uses for that even here in NY.

Hi Felix. My wife bought this and I did not know about it until it was delivered. I was very skeptical. I did not think this thing was going to work. I was extremely surprised, because the instruction manual specifically states:
"Use in a Dry Climate. Not recommended to use on humid days. High humidity levels make it impossible for the water to evaporate quickly enough to bring down the temperature."
It was very humid here when I made this video, so I do have to say that it performed well for me in a high humidity environment. Maybe that is why it only consumed nine gallons of water in seven and one-half hours? Being in Florida where the actually temperature has been in the 90s everyday while the feel-like temperature with humidity has been around 100 to 106, this cooler still did the job. It kept me cool while cooking pizzas for three hours. An evaporative cooler would probably work extremely well for you in NY. This is an indoor/outdoor unit. The manual also states:
"Open a window or Door. Run the cooler upright on a flat, level surface in front of an open window or door to create an effective cross breeze."
As a user in the high humidity state of Florida, I wish I had more hands to give more thumbs up 👍👍

Don’t use this inside, better for outdoor use. I made mistake and ran it for a full day inside and everything was damp. It throws out a lot of humidity.

Thanks for the heads-up. I now know that if the air conditioning in my home craps out, I will be bringing this baby inside. Thank you!

Couple questions - any reason why I couldn't just add some ice cubes to the top every so often instead of the ice pack? I've got an ice machine at work, so I can get plenty of cubed ice quickly. Also, if it is filled up to max, how many hours will it last before it needs to be refilled. Thanks!

Great questions. I did think about adding ice. You could use ice if you started the water reservoir closer to the MIN mark, so as the ice melts it fills the reservoir. Just keep an eye on the MAX mark. The instructions did not say what happens if you over fill the reservoir. I assume the extra water would just overflow onto the ground.
I filled mine up to the MAX, twelve gallons. It was 92 degrees with high humidity and I ran it for seven consecutive hours. The reservoir water level dropped to 1/4, so it consumed about nine gallons of water. In lower humidity, it would consume more water than higher humidity because water has a harder time evaporating in high humidity.
This device definitely makes cool air that can cool down an area.

My cool settings keep beeping and flashing 😢 any suggestions?

Mine has not given me any issues, but from what I have read, different beeping patterns mean different things. Some are easily rectified, and some are a malfunction that will require a repair. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Does the unit make any beeping sounds to indicate a fault code?

From what I have read. If you remove the back panel screws and then the back panel, the three filters can be removed for cleaning. I have not tried it yet, but I cannot imagine they would design the cooler with no access to the filters.
