I can imagine it would be quite challenging being in the shoes of his wife & mother of his children. I imagine the bickering in their household to be relentless. However, if one is a critically thinking individual they probably prefer someone equally intelligent and capable as their partner, even with the bickering.

He acts in a few quality UK comedies such as "The IT crowd" and "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace" ( which I think he also co-wrote? ). I think he currently hosts a game show called "The Crystal Maze". I'm not from the UK either, so my info may not be very up to date....but hopefully I've opened up some more possibilities for you to expand upon your Ayoade-verse! P.s. He is also a very talented writer and director, so check out his films: "Submarine" and "the Double". ( there may be more; I'm not very up-to-date). Watching this and hearing Lou Sanders saying she lives in a two story apartment, and thinking "im doing better than her", been happening for about a year now since I've bought my house. Like I'm only doing a little better than average I guess but it feels surreal knowing I'm doing better than TV stars, and I don't have to suffer the fame either (I've noticed a lot of stars this past year aren't doing any better than your average factory worker)
