I wouldn't call it a friendship.. not like they knew each other beforehand or stayed in touch afterwards... Paul was paid to be on the show so Travel Man would get higher ratings due to AntMan. They don't actually know one another..
Their friendship on the show (and possibly off, who knows?) is such a delight. There are always practical reasons for a show like Travelman to reach out to guest celebrities, but you have to like Richard and the show to agree to do it, and you can tell that’s the case here for sure.
IKR!! Paul Rudd is like the kid who'd go along with whatever crap any old bumwit would say or do as long as it "keeps him in the limelight and people recognize him". In essence, the complete opposite to Richard Ayoade's "I don't know, nor care, what people feel about this here character and this here thing". Two beautiful comedy genres coming together in one beautiful synchrony. I love
Indeed! Like they didnt know that when you pour water on the stones in the Sauna the temperature INCREASES! I sat there with my head on my head saying: "No nononononono!"
I love Richard's story about eating the sandwiches. That bit is the realist I have ever seen him. He just stops acting and has a genuine conversation with Nish. I think Nish just has that effect on people, he's a very open and personable guy.
I imagine the producer or director told the guy massaging Richard "do a few weird things, and go a little hard. Not too weird or too hard, but harder than average", and that was enough to upset Richard by quite a bit 😂
Paul Rudd acts like he's still 12, and at Summer Camp 24x7. Love it!. He must be a cool guy to hang out with. I would watch a show with just Paul and Richard travelling around the world lol! And I love Stephen Merchant, but he truly is the google eyed freak that Ricky and Karl always said he was. He looks absolutely gormless in this video :)
@@JPMJPM They're friends, just not as close as when they were working together. Career paths have taken them in different directions, but they still talk about each other in interviews, and it's mostly positive.
His comment about feeling like Dustin Hoffman at the end of midnight cowboy is so underrated and perfect. 😂 He looked legitimately ill at the end of the ride. He went all grey.
Just finished binge watching the whole series. watching this without the music is a different experience. Hong Kong was a very good episode. at time Nish Kumar's voice sounds identical to Rimmer's voice in Red Dwarf - also a good epi...
Curious. In the Burger King sauna, Rudd is wearing a robe with a Burger King emblem on it, yet Ayoade's robe has his initials , R.A., embroidered on the chest.
Wait a tic, why does the French chocolate maker kinda look like a relative of the German museum keeper of concentrated flavours and tastes (not seen in this video circa Bob Mortimer)?????
He may not be the greatest name in comedy but, C'mon...Paul Rudd mopping his face with the burger? That's Gold!!! Hope it wasn't scripted🤔......I'm wondering why I don't I enjoy comedy movies so much these days😬😁😂😂😂😂 too cynical
Definitely feels like a reupload of the same video from 7 months ago... like it's all literally the same exact clips almost in the exact same order. Might even be the same and be the same exact video..
Yes, all same clips as before... the only one I couldn’t really remember was the last one, that like goes for a min. Maybe that’s the only new one that justifies a whole new upload 🤨
He asks her special subjects, she says breakfast cereals and doesn't even know a single thing about them.. "what's available" well yeah, in that case everyone who has ever visited the market is a specialist on breakfast cereals... wtf lmao..
@@misssingingotter it would be a joke if she intended for it to be funny. What it was is she didn't have an answer, just said breakfast cereals as it was the first thing to come to mind, and then was asked a question she wasn't expecting and had no answer for it. There was no joke.
It's sad to know that a show like this will never be possible again with the world-wide paranoia over viruses now imbedded into our cultures. Humans are now more afraid of other humans than ever before in the history of mankind.
Paul Rudd and Richards friendship feeds my serotonin. Something about their polar opposite nature's is so complimentary on screen

@@SPFLDAngler Paul is actually a big fan of Richard's and they have some mutual acquaintances. Paul wanted to be on the show.
@@SPFLDAngler I bet you're fun at parties.
Paul Rudd and Richard in that Burger King sauna brought me to tears. It was like watching my 8 and 10 year old kids.
I love when you can hear the crew laugh and see the camera shake. Especially in the sauna, none of them could keep it together 😂
I didn't think that Burger King sauna could get any funnier, but friends, I was mistaken.
Indeed! Like they didnt know that when you pour water on the stones in the Sauna the temperature INCREASES! I sat there with my head on my head saying: "No nononononono!"
A
Why on earth would they cut the extra BK awesomeness??
i love that you can hear the crew giggling while richard is desperately trying to scrape the tomato out of the heater
Paul Rudd just continually dropping stuff onto the hot rocks 😭🤣😭
I love Richard's story about eating the sandwiches. That bit is the realist I have ever seen him. He just stops acting and has a genuine conversation with Nish. I think Nish just has that effect on people, he's a very open and personable guy.
It’s almost entirely apt that he did this when he took off the glasses. It’s like he took off the whole act haha, amazing to see
The only food I've seen Richard Ayoade genuinely enjoy on this program is somehow a whopper? 🤔
He enjoyed those crab legs in Miami more with Rhod Gilbert :)
He seems to only love American food 😆
Eyes burning glasses hot he bite that like a mother fucker
And the dinner with Matt Lucas.
I love how much the crew is cracking up at the burger king sauna bit
Richard and Paul Rudd are such an incredible combo
"Both firm, and unfair"... that's the first time I've seen Richard almost crack up.
He laughs hard in the outtakes of the mighty Boosh. HE EVEN GIGGLES!!! and it is GLORIOUS 💜💜💜
5:22 -"I don't know how you become a tram driver. Do you just -- you like driving, but steering isn't for you?"
This man's wit is fertile
He's has the perfect deadpan delivery too. I had to pause the video I was laughing so much at this line!
I imagine the producer or director told the guy massaging Richard "do a few weird things, and go a little hard. Not too weird or too hard, but harder than average", and that was enough to upset Richard by quite a bit 😂
Richard looks absolutely perfect in his hats. So many people can't carry it off but he does
Richards outfits in these are delightful
god i love richard so much
That colon speech was great
I love how they’re desperately trying to fight the heat of the sauna but waving the air in front of their faces 😂
"i can blame you for that; I'm weak as a person" same bro
The US needs more Ayoade
They wrecked that burger king sauna, pouring beer and tomato's on those lovely white rocks 😂
This video made cry with laughter. Thanks guys!
Hello pretty lady how are you doing today I hope you are doing well and I really appreciate you being my fans 💓💓💓
the foot massage bit had me in tears
the deleted scenes are even funnier than the left in stuff 😆
I could never figure out why Paul Rudd seemed so flat, when he’s incredibly funny. Now I understand. All his funny bits are on the cutting room floor.
I love him so much
I would watch uncut 48-hour-long episodes of this show.

I’ve been wondering for quite awhile now, and may I ask: What happened with those three? Why aren’t they friends anymore?
@@JPMJPM They're friends, just not as close as when they were working together. Career paths have taken them in different directions, but they still talk about each other in interviews, and it's mostly positive.
They actually put the most boring part of the whole Burger King sauna shenanigans in the episode. Should have left it all in because it's gold.
His comment about feeling like Dustin Hoffman at the end of midnight cowboy is so underrated and perfect. 😂 He looked legitimately ill at the end of the ride. He went all grey.
Their comments about Philip Scofield, you can't help but think, this is a truth drop, passing as comedy.
Especially the basement line
Rich is so cutely self-depricating in everything he says.
Richard Ayoade is like an antidote to Kanye West in this world.
i love that they neither did a slow zoom nor put it on in post. DEAD

"Get away from me, Peter Brook!" has to be the most criminally underrated line evr.
Hear me out, a series where Paul Rudd and John Hamm take Richard on a tour of America
And I wouldn't mind adopting Richard, he has my dry sense of humor!
I love Rich
3:30 It was at this moment Richard Ayoade's high died and he turned back into Maurice Moss
the colon speech was brilliant

thank you for making me laugh like a little girl
I’ve had the incredible pleasure of meeting Paul Rudd, and he’s literally as friendly and chaotic as he seems - such a genuine fun guy
The only thing better would be meeting him and Richard at the same time! Lucky you!
Lucky you!!!! That's awesome😚

Richard is god
I love that 2 of the travelers are from Middle America more or less. Jon Hamm, St. Louis and Paul Rudd is Kansas City Metro. 😊
Why are some of these clips such low quality lmao, is it from 1936?
Why are we watching the same clips, only put together differently and no one is complaining?
This BK Sauna scene is killing me because you can just hear the crew laughing at various points
.."The world will never know"...
that's got to be the title for the next bond film ...
out of character finally lmao
Richard out of character???
Paul Rudd really lost all sense of decorum in that sauna

Did Richard just smile? Maybe even laugh for the first time in history ??

why is the sound always so low on these videos?
i guess it's because the clips were taken out so the sound didn't need editing for the final cut?

The sauna is how Richard wishes to live

Why are these outtakes?
12:21 I understood none of this conversation
I'm still upset they never zoomed in when he told them to.
That's SO TRUE about artisinal alphabet spaghetti :-P

I got a tip from another UA-cam commenter: go straight to the end of the clip and hit replay - that usually gets rid of them.
