Buy whatever works for you but this is my opinion based on shopping at dollar tree for years AND now shopping at Dollar Tree as a full time job. If you like something I mentioned not to buy, ITS OK!
"High Drain," batteries probably mean nothing to most people.
Do you mean Alkaline batteries are a good buy?
Okay well then don’t make your video around “DONT BUY THIS” and instead maybe. Rephrase
@@lexi2168 you pressed bc she was giving advice girl get uu a hobby 🤣
I'm buying the sun glasses
Don't buy the batteries labeled, "heavy duty," they're no good. Buy the ALKALINE batteries.👍
Wat do you want frm a dollar shop, Gucci/Prada/Versace..
Right?!
Lol she’s just stating what IS worth $1.25 vs what is eventually a waste of money.
@@imaspecialgirllalala its jus wicked humor..for laughs...shes entitled to her view, nd so is evry1 else.
They used to have some nice brand name overstock in personal care.I agree with everything she said,I've been shopping at the dollar tree for over 25 years
Exactly! Like girl we know.
"dont buy dollar store flipflops they dont last"
me who is literally wearing my lemon flipflops in perfect condition from the dollar store i bought 3 years ago: 👁👄👁
Same, but watermelon design
The batteries are great for remote controls
Yes agree
I agree too. Even almighty Panasonic batteries are not as good as their dollar tree counterparts. They last many months in remotes at least. Their wristwatch batteries last real long too
I will say I've never used the batteries or the flip flops.
yes. And weight scale
Every time I get batteries from the dollar tree they explode/start leaking
Been wearing a pair of Dollar Tree flip flops for the better part of 2 years and they’re barely worn.
This is my third year using mine too! And as a California resident, I DEFINITELY use them every day, indoors and outdoors. To each his own, I guess lol
I have no shoes I’ve been using those flip-flops for over three months
Facts
I bought some flip flops from dollar tree. Decent for the price-ended up hurting my feet everytime I used them. If you can, try old navy or daiso
Perfect shower shoes for the gym.
The vo5 shampoo and conditioner work pretty well
As a hairdresser, I agree with you 🙌 I use vo5 kiwi shampoo once every couple weeks because it gets me that deep cleanse I need. I usually use the PS clean beauty moisture maintain one. I find that the consistency is exactly the same to clean beauty brands from saloncentric. The packaging is a big ripoff of Verb's ghost shampoo and conditioner 😂 but yeah, they really did amazing with that stuff!
V05 makes my hair fall out. But they do have other brands that are good options.
I disagree with the trash bags. I must say they're stronger than I expected. I buy the HANDLES ones.
if they work for you thats what matters. Im not buying shopping bags when I get them for free.
Here in NYC plastic bags are banned because of the environment now it's paper bags or reusable totoes
Me too!!! The handles are my fav. I live by myself and find the price and quality perfect.
I buy the non handle ones. Best trash bags. No accidents yet been using them 11 yrs. Buy all my plastics at there. Largest bowl ever also 11 yrs ago.
Do y’all mean the draw string ones? I need cheaper trash bags
I'm a teacher and the batteries are a staple in my classroom. My students use timers when they read and I leave the batteries in the timers and I rarely have to replace them. They last all school year.
I buy the trash bags when I am donating items. They’re just gonna get torn open anyway 😂😂
Me rn im putting old clothes in the trashbags :)
I always buy my batteries at the Dollar Tree for my camping equipment; perfect for a quick weekend away and I don’t have to worry about losing a lot money if they get wet during my trip.
I agree
There was a video where they tested the batteries and they worked pretty well for the price.
That’s why she said unless you’re buying high drain.
That’s why she said unless you’re buying high drain.
I've used the regular batteries for years and have good service from them.
Batteries are ok
I respect your opinion, but I disagree.
Same
Me to all that stuff works perfect for me and I also got a hais brush from there and it works perfectly for me. 👌
@@josephmoats115 yeah and the other stuff I get all of it when I used all my money on gas money (it's freaking almost 7 dollars)
@@josephmoats115 same alway's used to get the draw string bag's never had an issue
yep
Those flip flops hurt where thong goes into arch area. Ouch
Cut a piece of sponge and glue it around the toe part.
The batteries are worth it! Watched a show that tests different products and batteries only lasted about 1 to 2 hours less than the expensive ones.
I love the shampoo and conditioner at the dollar tree 😅 my hair is manageable, it’s just straight and needs a simple shampoo and conditioner daily. I find the DT ones get the job done and save me some money. But they def aren’t for everyone
Same here i love getting the big mens bottle of 3 in one or just the powerstick shampoo and conditioner i also use the powerstick deodorant and it last all day
Same I like the white rain and vo5 they carry they also carry suave
Had a really bad scalp issue...white rain coconut and hibiscus is the ONLY thing that has worked. Still keeping my more expensive shampoos. Tried to go back to them, but itchy scalp returned. Sticking with white rain.
I agree, I'm a cosmetologist and the hair, skin care and makeup is pretty good, actually. If it's watered down that's a good thing, makes it easier to work through the hair. Most people tend to use way too much, creating a dulling waxy product build up, uneven distribution, not to mention waste.
The conditioners are good to shave your legs with and leave your skin silky smooth! Just a tip!
The batteries work well for me for what I use them for as well as the trash bags.
Lol trash bags?
When do you use them more than one time?
I've used the batteries forever and totally satisfied with them.
Not true for smoke detectors.
@@joanobrien9000 Indeed use the higher quality for equipment that you can't goes without. You don't wanna be caught in a storm with a not working flashlight, radio, power start emergency heater/generator/etc. All because you got SunBean's alkenes or "carbon" batteries.
I buy the hair conditioner for when I shave my legs. It leaves my legs so soft.
I’m confused as to why you would substitute a plastic bin for a trash bag….🤔😆
Considering that you have to use bags in shared dumpsters. I would use grocery/shop bags when possible and reasonable bags for everything else.
Their pure brand of shampoo and conditioner is actually pretty good, I’d recommend it 👍
I use the batteries for remotes lol they do the trick
I'm a T1D who uses an insulin pump so I can honestly say that I stack up on Dollar store triple-A batteries because it's cost-effective and last for about 2 weeks in my pump. I also use the double-A batteries for T.V. remotes and household items.
The dollar store is a great place to shop the only problem is the fact that they raised their prices to $1.25. It's amazing how just that slight increase can make something once so accessible inaccessible to financially struggling families.
When your batteries drain down try replacing one, rather than both, then mark the older battery so you'll know which one to replace next time.
I love their trash bags...I have never had one break!
Hahaha exactly i was thinking, its trash who cares, she is dellusional
Thank you for your opinion, I use the batteries last forever, I also buy the shampoo they have name brands as well
2 batteries for $1 is about the same price as some name brands
VO5 shampoo is literally a dollar store brand and it's fantastic. Most people recommend it from what I've seen.
The flip flops are so good they last at least 2 years!!
I’ll buy what I want to buy!!!😂
“Don’t buy these things that are probably all you can afford! Buy the more expensive brands, you don’t actually need food!”
Stop being poor!
She's litterly showing other options at THE DOLLAR STORE it's not like she's saying guy but shit at Gucci instead
@@AttackWaffleRight lol
I desperately need people to understand that the cheap ones almost always use the same ingredients as the expensive ones. Because they are usually owed by the same company and made at the same place. You're literally paying for a fancier label.
The flip-flops actually have lasted a while for me and they're only a dollar.
I think the only one I disagree on is the batteries. My store sells the energizer AA and AAA. It comes two in a pack and at the end if you compare them to the price at Walmart you’re still saving money. 🤷♀️
Except possibly the packs that Home Depot sells. But ya if you "just" need a few here and there. But I would get the bulk packs whenever possible, just in case.
@@rickytorres9089 I’ve found that the only one you’re saving money on at Home Depot is the 36 AA energizer batteries you save about a penny a battery. Either than that all the rest of them including the AAA’s are cheaper to buy the 2 packs at the dollar tree. And there’s about 2 dollar trees that I always find about 10 to 15 packs of them. So I tend to stock up.
@@mrs.gallardo5560 Interesting indeed. :)
The anti - humidity things work GREAT!
What do you recommend those for, other than boats?
I disagree on some of what you said.I buy most of that stuff and it work pretty good for $1.25
The garbage bags are good you just can't put a whole lot of stuff in there you can't overstuff you get full bags for $5 which adds up to 20 garbage bags if you bought 20 garbage bags in the supermarket it's $8 to $10 so you do get a good deal at Dollar Tree I bought a Glide with Febreze or with mr. Clean that's real good quality you can stuff those
Right 👍 I literally throw out the rubbish daily, or should I say- my fiancee does. He balks at the quality on occasion but that's only if he skips a day and tries to overstuff the bag.
Since it’s your opinion, I will keep buying whatever the hell I want at the dollar store lol
I do buy the “cheap” garbage bags but what is use them for is a different thing, sorta. The day before trash day, I walk around to all the rooms & empty the smaller type trash cans into the DT bag, tie it up & throw it in the big cans for trash day. Not the kitchen can tho, that one uses its own regular bag, which I like Glad Flex with lavender scent. 😊 Love your vids. 💞
Omg girl don’t sleep on the trash bags! When I didn’t have an option but to buy DT trash bags I discovered that the ones with the green on them are actually good! Even now that I have the option where to buy them I still get the DT ones!
We can agree to disagree bc every trash bag I’ve tried doesn’t hold up and I refuse to buy tiny trash bag, when I get them for free♥️
I never had an issue with dt trash bag's the drawstring one's work fine for me
Demographics plays a big role in whether they are good or not. White neighborhoods (yes demographics means race and job statistics) usually have better quality things and more things in them. In lower income neighborhoods they have low grade and horrible things. I've lived in the Bronx all of my life and as soon as I moved I learned that dollar tree is different everywhere.
@@basedblackgirl9920 Interesting I must say...
Flip flops for your check-in luggage for showering in hotels/airbnbs, etc, and maybe a pair for your gymbag if you shower at the gym.
I buy the shampoo and conditioner there specifically bc I really can’t afford the good stuff or even the “cheap stuff” anywhere else and it sucks. 😅
You can get V05 and suave at Walmart for less than $2. I use them and i always get compliments on my hair.
@@stacythomas1587 the dollar tree also sells vo5
@@gabrielleturner3754 I know. It's $1.25 at the DT. At Walmart, VO5 is 98 cents.
@@stacythomas1587 i will try that. thank you
@@stacythomas1587 yup, Walmart will carry a lot of the dollar tree brands for cheaper than the dollar tree now! The 25 cents make a difference on the long run
Some lab did a test and dollar tree and other cheap stores brand of batteries held up to name brand like Duracell and energizer
Still for quality equipment I not gonna chance QA or other internal issues for the times they do truly "sucks".
I’ve been using dollar tree flip flops for almost 3 yrs and they are just starting to wear out, but are still wearable. It’s a good steal for $1.25 in my opinion, they are also the most comfortable ones I’ve ever worn, and are more cushioned!
The trash bags are good it's alot of things from there are good you just have to try them yourself!
Cheap batteries work great for my remotes . Personally I'll buy want i want . Get over it !
LMAO don’t buy this, don’t buy this. ok you gonna buy me what i need then at the other stores i can’t afford? don’t actually take this seriously. but sometimes yall really do not see your privilege
Um it's advice, if you have to buy it buy it she's just giving suggestions but I guess yall use privilege for anything now.
if you can’t afford anything more that is your personal issue. she’s stating that yeah it may be inexpensive, but not good quality. the shampoo dried the f out of my hair, the trash bags always ripped with a small amount of pressure, the candles and incense are low quality, bad for our lungs and especially pets, and the batteries barely last. I bought these things to save a few dollars and they ended up not being worth it.
just because she’s sharing this doesn’t mean she “doesn’t see her privilege”
also, if you can’t even afford shampoo more than $1.25, maybe get a better paying job? y’all love to scream “privilege” but most of us don’t come from wealth, we make it. I used to make $12 an hour at a bakery now I make $22 an hour doing dog grooming, because I applied for the job, worked hard during my training, and now have a consistent clientele and take home about $225 a day (with tips)
nobody handed me this job. I applied. I worked hard. now I make good money. now tell me, where was my privilege?
She’s privileged to be allowed to publicly speak her OPINION. And SO are you.
By the way, if you’re specifically referring to white privilege, you might want to check out her other videos and rethink your comment. And your worldview in general.
I think you're the one taking the video too seriously..you don't have to do what the person recommends.. you don't even have to watch it.
Our DT had Suave hair care and we used that for our rental. Garbage bags are a big no for me except for the paper shredder compartment. Slightly stronger than the bags made for it. Odor absorbers are amazing in the closet especially if you live in a humid area.
I’ve never used the flip-flops but definitely agree on the batteries.
The reading glasses are great, though I have to wear clip-on sunglasses and haven’t tried DT sunglasses.
I really enjoy these types of videos, thank you!
I love their flip flops lol... great to wear at the pool honestly...
Also I buy the trash bags to keep in my car lol
The Shampoo is a great buy. In fact I just picked up a Shampoo from there and wished I purched a few btls. I love it! It was new so im hoping they get more in. Wish they carried the same brand conditioner. Those flip flops r perfect for the kids!! And the beach ir pool
Omg the trash bags are literally as thin as toilet paper. They just rip as soon as you try to pull them out of your trash can
One woman's trash is another woman's treasure.
Don't buy the sunglasses they're not UV protection
That's a myth. The sun is good for you, it energizes you and it won't harm your eyes, you can even look directly at it. Granted, I'm not gonna go out and get sunburned all day and stare till I see spots but its beneficial in moderation. They tell us this lie because looking at the sun is healing, brings rejuvenation and activates your pineal gland-which they try to calcify with fluoride and the aforementioned sun warnings because the elite don't want us enlightened and healthy- medicine is a trillion dollar business. You didn't hear of Jesus and his disciples crossing the desert for 40 days with UVA filtered sunshades- if the bible doesn't warn us, we're alright.
Exactly. If they're just super cute but don't protect your retinas from UV light, do not buy them!
We use the flip-flops for showering.
The hair dye is great. I had a beautician review the ingredients and she said they were safe. But, suggest you get them checked out.
I actually use the hair color from the DT and haven't had any problems in over a year. I've saved SO much money.
As a cosmetologist I not only recommend it but use it, and my user pic shows the results
I do agree with that on the sunglasses one because I had a black pair of dollar tree sunglasses and I had them for 3 years before they broke they are so cute don’t look cheap and if you lucky enough to find ones without scratches on them they are so worth it 10/10 do reccomend
As someone who works for dollar tree I completely agree with what you said not to buy.
I agree with you for the most part. Every now and then they will get a name brand out of the ordinary hair product that is good. Like the Rooted hair conditioner that was in the stores briefly last year is excellent. I keep hearing the batteries don't last long and they really are not a good price. Same thing with ziplocs and trash bags. It's better to buy larger quantity at other stores for a deal.
I do love the new Poo-Pourri dupe that is out. The pink cleaning paste is good on stainless steel it just has a funky smell. The new bathroom cleaner that came with the refills in the little cardboard attachment to a plain spray bottle is really good. Love then
That conditioner in the aqua blue bottle with Argon Oil works great and is NOT watered down!!!
I agree about the trash bags they rip and tear ,sadly some people can only afford to shop at the dollar store.
That Sauve and V05 tho. Those were actually “name brand” hair products back in the day. Remember when Payless sold Reebok and Fila and they were not good quality, now them bitches cost a grip
Those flip flops actually hurt. I work @ DT and was soooo excited to see the cute designs and bought 4 pair - returned them back to my own store the next day 😂
Dollar tree flip flops - *exist*
Latina moms: I'll take all you have.
Those aren't for wearing they're for THROWING.
The little Mason jar candles have an amazing throw.
Yes the trash bags end up tearing.
I bought two pairs of flip flops 4 years ago. They are still working.
"Stop buying candles at dollar tree"
Me: ".........no.."
I buy the flip flops for the showers at the campground.I love them for that reason
Bamboo skewers and essential oils work!
The batteries at dollar are amazing for little kids things , remote controls and lots of other things.we have used them for many years without issue , the more expensive ones don’t last much longer.
Except for more demanding toys that's true. It's not like your gonna NEED a toy car in middle of a storm. But I would still go to Home Depot for their bulk Duracell for the devices that I can't live without. Like my special needs' adapted alarm clock, fire alert system, etc.
The Dollar tree conditioner is really great to make slime 💕
Girrrl I have had my dollar store flip flops for almost 3 years just put super glue from the dt on the bottom pieces
Dollar store batteries are great tbh 💯
I don't know about you, but I don't want to be sleep through a fire just because I didn't care to buy reputable batteries.
you're complaining about dollar tree items?
If they're not worth $1.25 I would like to jnow!
@@pinkelefant4ever Exactly!! Just because they might be "cheap" to some doesn't mean they should be outright trash.
I use the flip flops for my crafts. Add them to my summer wreaths.
I like the pink trash bags there. I use them for my hello kitty theme bathroom. ☺️
The trash bags work great for me
Dollar tree flip flops are the only flops I wear and they have never done me dirty 😂
Lol.... the shampoo and conditioner is just fine they are not watered down.. the batteries work very well been using them for years. The flip flops are the same as old navy just a 1.25... stop listening to people and go by stuff your self and see what you like. The trash bags are fine to
Love your honesty tips love! Thank you for sharing this I appreciate you. Have a blessed weekend.
Thank you! You too!
I totally agree to buying the sunglasses for people with prescription eyeglasses. You have to try on several pairs to see which ones will fit over your eyeglasses comfortably but it's a lot cheaper than buying sunglasses from your eye doctor
It's the chemicals in the shampoo and soap that are sometimes not ok for your scalp. When I didn't have money, a trip to Dollar Tree for food, spices, veggies, and a box of 4 ice creams worked. Instead of over a hundred dollars, it was around $50.00 dollars. My sister and I did this.
There's that saying "Pay a little bit now and a lot more later."
Your on point with those batteries, they don't last but a week in my clock nor do they last in puck lights.
couldn’t agree more on the candles. i bought a lemon lavender candle, brought it home, lit it, and was highly disappointed.
The dollar tree incense was giving my daughter and her cat respiratory problems & kept killing her fish cause the oils settled on the surface of the water, but then any brand is bad. The flip flops hurt my feet pretty bad, though the fake Birkenstock style held up and was very comfortable. I agree, the trash bags are terrible but the small lemon scented liners worked well in the bathroom & office and yes, I love the sunglasses and the bejeweled holders that clip on my car visor are a must have. As for the battery operated tea light candles, it's easier to buy new ones, rather than buy and install replacement batteries
The flip flops are durable just like the rest, shampoo and conditioner is ok,I go to dollar tree to buy my trash bags and they are great they’re good quality, the batteries are good too,I like some candles there but some do not have smell
You are so smart. Bandaids is another. No sticky. Also,I knew about the batteries and garbage bags, from my experience.
.
Lol I ONLY use the dollar tree flip flops for the shower and maybe taking out the trash 🤣❤️
A lot of ppl say dollar tree batteries don't last but I use them for my wireless mouse and 1 battery lasts me for a few months with frequently used (I'm a web designer so I use my mouse everyday for work)
I use the White Rain conditioner to shave my legs
Don’t tell me what to do!!! Kidding😊
This is more of "this is what I like and don't like" rather than facts don't ever buy 😂😂
I can agree with you about: THE FLIP FLOPS! Regular walking on those is not good: hard on the soles and toes, very uncomfortable, etc.
My cousin gave everyone a pair of those flip flops at her wedding 😂
Those flip flops lasted me all summer and still have them
If you’re buying shampoo from the dollar store it’s usually because you don’t really got another option. I’ve been in that situation and I don’t mind them one bit. Better than dish soap. 😶🌫️
The flip flops I use to craft with
My sister bought some sandals about 5 years ago and she still has them.
Do more of these videos!
She's correct
The battery work great for me for my flashlight and lantern for camping all night
Don't tell me what to spend my money on. 😂
Gotta get those readers too!
