Use a blow dryer or heat gun to remove it. Once you remove it and if the sticky is still there, get goo gone to spray on sticky. Wait for few minutes and then wipe off with hot soapy water. Lot of work, I have done this for my friend.
Ask ur landlord first!!! They may like it and want you to leave it when u go. But anything sticky, esp on wood or any porous surface, may be a nightmare to remove .
it's useful for covering unattractive surfaces, like the back of a night stand. mine had that cardboard backing, so i put a wood grain pattern on it. now i can put it on an angle and it looks better.
Great job . Your transformation on your stairs and bathroom is beautiful . I love it
I really like what you did withe the risers on the stairs. I think it looked great! I’d do mine but they are carpeted and I don’t want to deal with the hassle of getting rid of the carpet.
wow, the difference it makes, just those little details. The stairs are downright elegant looking!
😮😮😮Not
No! 😮 They're cheap, tacky and gauche. Right down there with the "Live, Love, Laugh" decals.
@@belajadevotchka2 I absolutely agree with you. That's why it used to be called MacTac(ky)
@@shirmeymckamey9386 Lol...and those adhesives are absolute nightmares!
I'm not sure the purpose of this stuff...
Decorating stairs elegantly...
Get some pretty brass stair dust corners, or a stair runner with rods.
If she's going for "cheap", she's achieved it.
@@belajadevotchka2 yes. I totally agree. Takes a nice, rather elegant in simplicity staircase and takes it back to the 70's horror wild wallpaper and floor tile days that make you dizzy and nauseous to look at them. Lol. Please don't do that again ms. blogger. Once was enough. Next it will be Avocado green fridges and stoves😳🤣🤣🤣
Transparent vinyl for windows are actually for teachers use them on windows. When threats and violence occurs an intruder can’t see inside.
Just a tip from secondary school as student.
The transformation on the stairs so beautiful.
Keeping in mind .... Even if it's the same company , every outlet has DIFFERENT products . Even in similarity , they still are different .
Shop as needed .
Cheap makeovers are nice and all but I'm more worried how it will look in a few years and how painful it will be to remove
Your stairs cost over $113,
if you covered one stair per sheet.
It was $226 if you used 2 sheets per stair.
Looks very nice and unique.
You did a great job. Bless You 😊.
There goes the lovely stair case. Maybe it'll peel off w/o residue left behind.... maybe?
I like the frosted glass cover. I've used that in a garage. I still got light in the garage while obtaining some privacy.
There are some great contact papers but not all contact paper is the same.
Waterproof, raised finishes and thicker contact papers that aren't cement glued are under my sink and in drawers and if into contact paper then take a look at pre glued wallpapers. Don't forget to match the design!
Our Family Dollar has much better quality than our Dollar Tree, too. Family Dollar has items comparable to the more expensive stores and I love our Family Dollar!
If you cut three at a time. It is impossible to get a nice clean straight line cut. If you don’t do a good job cleaning the wood on the steps. The paper won’t stick for long.
Well, you managed to make a high quality staircase look like a tacky, dollar store DIU 😂 😬. For anyone who thinks they want to try this, there’s a reason why certain things are for the wall and others for the floor. This won’t last long. Also, there is a reason it’s sold at the dollar store to begin with, it’s called quality of glue and paper.
How can you do that to the beautiful wood on that staircase?? I have never understood why someone would pay for stain-grade lumber and then ruin it with cheap wallpaper. Please don’t do this.
I wouldn't cover the wood with that paper personally but each his own
WoW Good Finds!!✌🏾
I wish I had that for my last place. Nicely done
Always great helpful advice
