i just love this videos, they are like pearls, have such a high value, but are so hard to find. Thanks for sharing your work, wish you the best man, success :)!
I'd assume he ain't reading anything during this performance, he's looking at the paper because he's used to looking at it from when he learned the song, and it probably gives him queues to what part of the song is coming, just cuz he's used to looking at it and can tell which patterns on the paper are which part of the song. But he ain't reading anything, give him a different complex drum part that he hasn't tried before, let's watch him 'read' it while he's playing it first try. See how it comes out. I bet he reads it when he's learning it yes, but then just looks at the paper during this performance cuz he's used to looking at it out of habit while learning it. Yet he's acting as though he's reading it in real time when responding to these comments, which is the annoying part.
@@to-xh9lk Why does it seem so unbelievable that a professional drummer is reading music while playing? 😂 Is it just because you can't so you assume everyone else can't too?
Pretty much yea, I just can't imagine a pro drummer casually reading and playing through such an intricate song. I would imagine he reads it to learn the song, rather slowly compared to this playthrough. And obviously you would naturally memorize it at that point and not need to read through while performing it for the video
You're a monster, dude! Really tight playing.

Man, you killed it, great
SO GOOD! Pretty cool to see a drummer reading as they play too 🔥
Shhhh no don't egg him on, think about how cool it would be if he memorized it AND transcribed it

Just think about how cool it would be if you memorized it
If this was just audio you’d have no idea I was looking at a chart.
Sounds good! Why are you acting like you're reading the stuff you're playing tho? I don't believe that for half a second.
I guess don't believe it then. :/
