Same with me I hate that market part of Lagos too that’s always congested. Any congested place is not for me. But that the money though lol. Kenya downtown is really beautiful.
It was Kirinyaga, kinda disappointed you didn't know that. Kenya it's self owns the name from British who couldn't pronounce the name correctly and settled for Kenya. I mean basics here sister. Nairobians know it but we don't know who they are. 😀😀 but they leave after 5pm too, kinda mutes the whole thing, if you ask me.
Good job but I have to correct that the pimped up buses are known as matatu or local slang 'nganya' and they don't go to the 'ghetto' mostly, they go everywhere. Downtown is also riskier than uptown to be honest but more so in the evening and night. Pickpockets mostly because shops are closed earlier than uptown so less people, slightly less safety. I've had a few incidents.
The confusion is there because the word "Downtown" in most major cities in the world means the CBD. So most people watching will assume that that's the CBD but it's not. Glad she clarified it in the video

Majority of folks in this town don't understand Nai's national and regional importance. Actually, Badi should just be retained! Unfortunately the majority of Nairobians are not able to comprehend the importance of electing a performer with a continental and global vision for the governorship. So long as the masses are populist-oriented, and deify (suspected) drug lords for doing the bare minimum that a governor is supposed to do (sonko rescue team) this city will move no where.
I love Nairobi and Kenya. So much has change since i was last there. The only issue is that i wish the government would upgrade and beautified those downtown areas just like they are doing in main centre of Nairobi.

With dirty streets unfortunately🙄
Kanjo kazi yao ni gani surely?
I appreciate this Video and it's content... very educative for our today, yet innovative for what the system requires to do for the common man and our Economy in general. The music added spice!
Always full joy your video's
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing Tigress 👍
Truly Nairobi is well developed, and truly west Africa we are left behind especially my Ghana.
Talk for your country Ghana .
Downtown Nairobi is a mess.
Stop this comparison nonsense. It won't add any value to the cities in question or put food on your table.
Down town Kingston Jamaica 🇯🇲
That's great driving for sure!!
Hello sister Tigress. I love your videos and good job. Would you please show us uptown Nairobi? By going through the streets not above ? I’m curious to see uptown Nairobi. Thanks
I bet you will confuse uptown Nai with Newyork
Ok now we talking with the music!!!! Claro que si!!! Que viva la rhumba!!
I sense no danger at all. When a place is not posh it doesn't automatically mean that is dangerous. Nairobi is a very beautiful city.
YOU SEE NOW, SHE HAVE SHOWN BOTH BEAUTIFUL AND UGLY SIDE OF HER COUNTRY, IF IT WAS GHANA THEY WILL INSULT HER.
WE LOVE YOU SISTER.
As Nairobians and Kenyans, we know our shortcomings and where we need to make improvements. Self criticism is necessary fro growth. But we celebrate our achievements just as much.
No mind those deluded yeye things..AT keep up your good works 👍😃..we are solidly behind you..pay haters no mind..by the way nice 👌 city Nairobi with good road network..do take care and stay blessed!..looking forward to more!..🤗❤️👍🙏🙏🇳🇬🇰🇪
@@gaj1234 you kenyan or Nigerian??just asking
@@MKM295 Lol why are you asking..ok to put you out of your misery of excessive curiosity..I am Nigerian a very proud one at that.😜😬👍🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Go there on a Week day Rush hour. That's the real Nairobi.
I do not like downtown because it is too congested and rough for my liking. I avoid it. You can imagine if it is like that on a Sunday, weekdays it is proper chaos.
Chezus!
alot of undercover cops in Nyamakima area that's for sure. been like that for decades. Nairobians know it but we don't know who they are. 😀😀 but they leave after 5pm too, kinda mutes the whole thing, if you ask me.
I like the cable wiring put it in underground hope my country do same thing.
People are actually taking this as the city of Nairobi😂.. Posh Nairobi areas is extremely organized and zero congestion.
The confusion is there because the word "Downtown" in most major cities in the world means the CBD. So most people watching will assume that that's the CBD but it's not. Glad she clarified it in the video
Stop it. It's very much Nairobi, the heart of the city. This is like going through the Joburg CBD/Hilbrow and though parts are quite run down, it is very much a part of Joburg. We know Nairobi has many modern CBDs but this is, Nairobi.
@@unjanii5347 And who said it isnt?? They said its part of not the whole of, meaning it doesnt represent the whole city. Comprehension seems like task🤦♀️🤷♀️
i like the video so much so detailed
Beautiful City Nairobi 🤩👍
i hope the next governor of Nairobi coming in will change Nairobi, especially downtown areas. We have wasted ten years of incompetence at the helm, how we get to vote some silly fellas i don't understand.
When you elect leaders like Sonko and Sakaja be sure Nairobi will head nowhere
I know I may come across as elitist when I say this but truth be told... Nairobi should not have an elected governor, but an appointed one.
Those areas will never be fixed until matatus are kicked out of the city center
@@kim1570 you're on point bro I wish we had more Kenyans like you
Kenyans always voted for incompetent politicians, starting from the very top to the bottom. Tribalism is alive and kicking.
Don't be shy, open your windows to see if it's safe
You can't be careless of course 🙄🙄
Beautiful city.
I love Nairobi and Kenya. So much has change since i was last there. The only issue is that i wish the government would upgrade and beautified those downtown areas just like they are doing in main centre of Nairobi.
That is why it is being decongested with other bus termini being built to remove some of those vehicles and the crowds that come with it.
@@esem135 so you remove the crowd, where is the money those areas will make? all it needs is cleaning, repainting and organizing of traffic. Remember, private cars congest cities not public means.
@@esem135 then bodabodas will crowd here because the green park terminus is very far from here. It will now look like Kampala
Yes Mt. Kenya was known as Mt. Kirinyaga but the British couldn't pronounce the word Kirinyaga properly so they called it Mt. Kenya and that is why they called our country Kenya. Before the British came there was no country called Kenya.
makes sense
Right. Also, the Akamba people called the mountain 'Kinyaa', which also contributed to the current name.
@@kim1570 I actully know this version
I love how this lady only shows us the nice places in Nairobi
Bruh what? Sema ukweli joh
Not at all Mr Gabby. This is actually the roughest, congested & chaotic parts of Nairobi. Wait till she shoots a video of Up town Nairobi.
It will be the game changer.
Downtown...This is where the Money is....
I think the big difference in usa downtown and Nairobi is we more cautious with street safety 🤔 😳 this place have bigger potential with street cleaning jobs too
True
I'm from Nigeria I prefer ivory coast to Kenya
Good. Don’t come to Kenya 👍
Why tho?
There’s no comparaison needed, we’re all African 😁
Yet here you are
My friend Nairobi is huge you are yet to see other places
nice drive
AWESOME VIDEO
Oh my God, I remember there was TSS petrol station at Tea Room. It's no longer there!
A 15 floor tower stand there now
I bet people from Kigali Rwanda are shaking their heads watching this video.
😂😂😂lol
FYI...Kigali has no downtown area....its just a small city the size of Upperhill area in Nairobi. So, I don't know what the Rwandese will be shaking their head about ??
Nice view but government should consider to fix those naked cabal wires properly clean the roads and of course lack infrastructural maintenance is always the problem of Africa government.
Downtown Nairobi is just disorganized. We need a leader that's willing to put good restrictions in place and do a face-lift
@@itgamingke Continue to Vote Uhuru family okay fools you need change my foot
Made me feel like I was there watching this video some similarities with Addis down town
Great videos AT
Nairobi gives me anxieties having been mugged five times. Generally avoid Tom Mboya street up to Muthurua and you are safe
I've been operating around that place you mentioned for 15yrs and never been mugged...I think you should rebuke that spirit of been targeted by thieves

They let you guys walk on the freeway that's dangerous, something else I don't see is accidents don't you all have them?
Wow African tigres I back home
Yes!💯
@@AFRICANTIGRESS Kenyan sister by any chance if still within the city I can show up and say hi because you've always inspired me alot
I won't pretend that I didn't hear her call matatus "matwanas". Why? Everyone knows they're called matatu/mathree/nganya.. 🇰🇪
Matwana culture
@@itgamingke that is an entirely different thing. It is related to matatu and art but it is different.
They should do something about the pedestrians constantly walking on the roads.
That will take us a century to learn such stuff lol . People are stubborn
@@itgamingke Absolutely! That's such a shame tbh. Kenya has the ability to be one of the most developed country in Africa but it's not going to happen if the minds and behavior of the regular population doesn't change.

Someone hanging from moving bus door only shows there is no law in that country
There are laws it's only a vibe done by conductors only. They do it to showcase there talents and attract customers too. But Nairobi is really strict on traffic rules my guy.

The only thing that is destroying the good image of Nairobi are phone snatchers in other areas Nairobians are people full of love

Hi new friend here for support
Government is not even concentrating with cleaning downtown...NMS is sleeping at work
give them credit where due, a lot has happened and with time the city's glory shall be back, remember we're in an electioneering year and a lot of the chaos you see on the streets is brought about by Hawking, you can not remove them during this time.
