Hey bud discovered you a couple days ago I like listening to yamcasts though, I’ve noticed you don’t do those no more..why? I learn a lot from motorcycles there for a newbie like myself, I like turbo busas and gsxr’s
As far as the dash goes, i find if i set mine to style 2 with the double info trays, i can select the upper half of my screen to a five digit 00000 style tachometer and then set the color changing "wings" of the graphical dash to change 500 RPM below redline. As you get close, the colors change from what you selected them to orange, then red, then flashing red. It takes a lot of the guesswork out from the admittedly tiny numbers on the graphical display.
I have this bike since 2023 and I love it! I also had the 675R before.... As for the top speed please take into account that the speedo is dead accurate!! So indicated speed is the correct speed...
Triumph is a good bike, the problem it is proprietary, which means no ECU unlock 😢 Japanese is open source 🎉parts are always available & easy ECU unlock 🥳
Im scared taking mine on a track lol ours roads are unpredictble i would expect pots hole on UK tracks! Im only 5ft 4, 10mm dealership drop, and lower seat accessory as im a hobbit, as for the bars and positioning its perfect for me, finally a bike that fits hobbit people!
@@ChasefckinwithshT 😢 that’s a shame. Hopefully Woolich tuning come out with something for it soon but if it’s newer, you’ll need triumph to flash / update the ecu to keel your warranty with any updates they have which I would imagine overwrites any tuning you had done…that said, it’s irrelevant as not currently available anyway..
I have seen a version of this bike on the showroom floor with clip on bars. personally I like the bike the way it is except I wish they made a Daytona version of it with a full fairing but for the street without changing the handlebar ergonomics. I test road the 660 Daytona and really liked it allot. but don't like the fake plastic frame covering the tubular frame. which I didn't even notice until the guy at the dealership pointed it out to me. and I wish the look of it looking down at the handle bars looked a little bit more high end and less plastic. but the bike is really nice. but doesn't have the beautiful brakes that this 765 RS has. I think a 765 RS Daytona made for the street would be a great bike.
The quickshifter improves as you ride it. There is a break in period. There is a bit of an odd behavior from 2nd to 1st and from 2nd to 3rd. Mine sometimes will not upshift from 2nd to 3rd without doing a double take on the upshift. Other than that the quick shifter is great. Also the mode switch is annoying and there is nothing you can do about it.
@@lcsper on mine 1 through four up and down are both butter smooth. I do notice a notchiness from a 5-4 downshift. I've also noticed the quick shifter smoothness is extremely sensitive to clutch adjustment. I had my cable lock nut vibrate loose on a weekend ride and noticed it get more pronounced and less smooth. I spent care getting the clutch adjustment perfectly back on and it was night and day just from a microscopic adjustment at the handle
@tyranid05 yeah I think it's related to the sensor on the clutch. Mine had to be adjusted after the 1000 km maintenance as the shift assist system just stopped working properly.
Triumphs quick shift is hard out of second on both my Triumphs. I had to get it replaced on my tiger. Never used another, but i know they are not great.
What class/series were you even racing in!? lol Three years is short time. How many track days? How many races? Where did you place? I’m betting you do not have enough time racing to be a track instructor but want it as a feather in your cap.
@@kupalisky3553 i'm not sure motogp applies for a typical track day.. don't you have bikes of very different speeds and riders of very different skill levels? seems like you'd want to be able to check six now and again
@@eartothegroundhandstothesky It does apply. It's all the same concept. If you've never been on track before it's hard to understand, but you're going really fast and corners come up quickly. You need to stay on your line and be aware of what is ahead of you at all times. Looking behind at all puts you and others at serious risk. This is basic track day stuff you learn if you ever go to one.
Yami you need to work at Triumph/or any manufacture as a consultant to let them make there bikes better as a rider.. the input ...make bikes better better
Why wouldn't it be? Yeah there's some suspension and tire differences. But I have a 2024 765R and feel like there's no reason it couldn't do a nice track day.
Imma broke 16y old never ridden. Live on uphill dirt road but love street bikes. Should I buy a triumph scrambler 400 x, or whatever dirt cheap dual sport that’ll eat up my driveway?

I've got the exact same bike and took it on track for 2 days in total this year. Absolutely weapon of a bike, love it 🙏

I do the same setting, but it is still a big weak point. My sons ninja 650 has a far superior tft, very easy to read
This bike changed my mind on nakeds!! Shout out from the U.K

Nice vid. If you could pick between this and the MT09SP for track, which one would you go with?
The debate of the century 😂
Relaxed = MT
Sharper = ST
🤷🏿♂️
I was going to ask the same question.
I'm really tempted to take my FTR on track. Even more so now
omg 100 trackdays and this foot position.... !
I would love to see a side by side comparision with the 890r! Even off and on the track

Done a handful of track days on mine now and it’s brilliant! No longer stock now though with a full system and custom tune. 😎👍🏼
Who did your tune ? Everyone says the new 24s ecu is still locked

What changes (if any) do you make for your wrists when operating the hand controls on a naked bike vs supersport?
Certified track instructor?!!? Congratulations, it's about time.
Do you own a track bike yam ? Can only think of the x2 Italians if not any plans
This is my dream bike, especially this color. Hope my luck pulls through in this giveaway
This and Tuono V4 Factory are the best naked track bikes
138 is about right, I have an 18 with 1 down in the front and I bounces off the limiter at about 142 indicated
My 24 R tops 5th at an indicated 135, I don't know how much further 6th will go.

The st is underrated
Has anyone figured out the automated lap timer on this thing?? I’ve tried setting the distance multiple times but it never changes
is removing the mirrors a track thing? would think you'd want them?
Broken mirror glass on a track is definitely not a good idea. What do you think shards of mirror glass would do to tyres ???
On track you shouldn't focus at all on what is behind you. Only what is ahead. they don't have mirrors on motogp bikes.
@@Jim-nm1en if a bike goes down there will likely be other sharp pieces of debris. and not all bike mirrors are even made of glass.
