I do that accent thing chronically. Not just accents, but I find myself copying their facial expressions, movements etc. It's so frustrating because I honestly feel like I have no control over it! I'm glad I'm not the only one, I thought I was 😂

Girrrl throw away that hot glue gun and get yourself some iron-on hem tape. Thank me later.
Also use that iron to press your seams and hems before sewing or fusing them. That’ll keep all your lines straight.
For the straps - use your iron and 2 pins as if you were making a bias strip.

Try moving to Australia at 27 and calling home to speak to my parents and they don’t know who I am and think it’s a prank! In less than 12 months I come back to the states and go shopping with my lifetime friend and people in the shoe shop did not understand what I said and then straight out said oh you are from Australia! I’m like no... I’m from here I’ve just been away in Australia for nearly 12 months! I had to call in my friend to help them understand me!🥲😂😘
