I personally think GCN Rainbow Road would've been a better closer for MKWii than N64 Bowser's Castle. So, I think the Lightning cup would be: SNES Mario Circuit 3 DS Peach Gardens N64 Bowser's Castle GCN Rainbow Road
They tend not to add the previous games rainbow road or Bowser castle as a retro track (yes I’m aware they added the 3DS one but I mean the base game rather than DLC). Although there appears to be a trend of them going through all the retro rainbow roads in order in the lightning cup from MK7 onwards. If they decide to skip the GBA rainbow road because it’s a bit crap the next MK may well have the double dash RR
