I had my hearing today 11/19/2021 and the judge approved me favorable at the end of my hearing. I have Type 1 Diabetes with neuropathy in my hands and feet, depression and anxiety, and asthma. I won because of the videos I have viewed of yours and Wlater Khnot. Thank you so much!
I want to thank you , they approved my disability! You helped me prepared for my hearing by watching your videos! You are Heaven sent Sir! Thank you so much! God bless!
I won my case on January 8th...after 3 years...longest years of my LIFE!!! So sad what they put a person threw. Just glad its all over 💪😊 good luck EVERYONE...
Thank you so much for your help sir... I filed for SSDI and SSI in 2019 I received a fully favorable decision at 55, in 2021... I purposely picked an out of state law firm because I didn't want a bunch of face to face meetings... I met my lawyers only once and that was 15 minutes before my hearing with the ALJ... I didn't want the anxiety, so I just kept up with my doctor's appointments and let my lawyers handle my case completely... I don't know if that would work for everyone, but it worked out very well for me... Godspeed people 🙏...
Thank You. Your videos have helped me in this process. My health has been going downhill since I got an aggressive cancer diagnosis in December 2009. I lost my job because of my health made it so I could no longer work. I had numerous medical complications. My health kept getting worse. I spent 5 years as a homeless cancer patient with other impairments. Social Security kept sending me to appointments. Social Security lost my file a few times. I finally got a favorable ruling. Social Security dragged it out long enough. 14 years of fighting to get some help.

Great attorney I won my case today thanks to your videos . It took 2 hearings and 4 years but I finally won. Judge told me at end of hearing that she was giving me a fully favorable decision. I rode a motorcycle before my first hearing which is why I lost. Those waiting on a hearing do not wash your car or ride a motorcycle. Thanks again for your videos !

So what would you be saying if you were DENIED benefits?! Would you be BLAMING the same "God" because "he" hates you and wants to see you suffer?! Grow up...
@Northernlitez...well I am not going to turn this into a religious war, but just be aware that not everyone shares your religious views and don't get butt-hurt when people openly disagree with you. I don't think quoting John 3:16 at someone's hearing will tip the scales in their favor....
Thank you, Mr Ginsberg, for all the excellent videos you've created. I remembered your advice and tips while doing my telephone hearing. My case was recently found Fully Favorable on May 20, 2022.
Ty for all your advice. I’ve followed you from day one through my disability case . I filed in February 2017 and today Is March 29th 2020 Sunday morning! I checked the mail last night and was granted a FULL FAVORABLE DECISION! Again ty Jason
I got approved for disability in social security on September 23rd. I'm so glad and happy and so is my family cause I really can't work right now:/ so Im grateful and appreciate the help of my representative.
Learned a lot from you videos. Had my phone hearing today which was absolutely overwhelming, however my attorney believes that it went well.... I am 100% disabled via the VA and a Military retiree... Hopefully I will receive a favorable answer soon....
I owe my husband everything for being there and supporting me. I have always been the type of woman to take care of myself so being disabled has almost driven me insane!!! I pray my disability goes through very soon
@@Gena777-r95 I was denied after my hearing but my lawyer didn't do anything to help they didn't send in my medical records! I have another lawyer now! Thank you attorney, my case got a favorable results from ALJ Hearing. Thank you for helping me through this tough time and aiding a new beginning of my life. THANK GOD for your knowledge of the law and thank you for all your video. I didn’t need to get an attorney since I have all the evidence that needed. Thank you too for responding my email. God blessed you. More power
Mr. Ginsberg, I cannot thank you enough for your videos. I had my hearing the other day and it looks like I was approved (at least that was how my attorney felt, or in his words, "I think there's a 90% chance that we won"..lol). I wanted to say THANK YOU publicly for your videos and your counsel. The simple fact that you are willing to put these videos on line for everyone to watch and learn from, shows that you genuinely care about people and are not concerned about making money off of them. For ANYONE out there reading this, that is going through the process, PAY ATTENTION TO THIS MAN! In MY hearing (I cannot speak for everyone), the ALJ asked THE EXACT SAME QUESTIONS that Mr. Ginsberg said that would be asked at a hearing and I answered them IN THE EXACT SAME WAY that Mr. Ginsberg said I should answer (even though it was the truth and I didn't lie). You are a knowledgeable, generous and caring man and I cannot say thank you enough. Keep up the good work and thank you again. I will say that if I have any issues in the future with the SSA, I will be giving you a call (I would have called you earlier, had I known about you and your videos but I had already retained my atty and we were WELL into this process).
This stuff is a racket--why does anybody have to go out and get a lawyer to win? Every one of us who had a lawyer won our case why was that? Think about how many of us are out fighting them (SS) for money that we worked so many years for? My lawyer was asked one question and pocketed $6,000. They are tired into this circle of frustration too.
Had my hearing in early May received letter in late June judge approved my case one later received awards letter reviewed benefits about 6 weeks later. Hope this helps people on time frame.
Rize Hashiriyaa I would estimate about a week to 10 days. I remember getting letter saying I won my case in late June and getting awards letter around 4th of July. It took me about 20 months from start to finish. That’s great you won good luck to yourself
Rize Hashiriyaa Direct deposit. You should contact social security administration with banking information almost immediately if no bank account you can get set with direct express but I would strongly recommend have bank account. I don’t believe they send checks anymore from my understanding but not absolutely sure. Like I said I would get on it Monday and be prepared for long wait times on hold
Really good info here. Discouraging to think after fighting for 5 yrs to get approved, they could take it away if I show any progress in my condition. You explained more to me on UA-cam then my personal attorney did.
I had my hearing on Tuesday and my lawyer said I did a really good job and he thinks I have an 80% chance of being approved. I give thanks to you Johnathan Ginsberg. Your videos have really helped me through all of this
Hey Jonathan, I've really appreciated all your videos. So I recently got, mid August 2019, tdiu w/ p&t from the VA Disability. It's paid at 100% though I'm actually at 70% w/ chronic migraines, chronic neck & back pain, & a scar. I submitted my appeal for seeing an ALJ after reconsideration denial to additionally include a printed letter/award stating my tdiu(total disability individual unemployability) w/ p&t (permanent & total). The day after my submission, it was sent to the ALJ hearing office. My details for both my SSI/SSDI says almost exactly, "Appeal under review. A medical decision has been made and we are working to process your decision. A social security representative may contact you or your appointed representative directly if we need any additional documents or information." This shows even though I've not seen a judge or even gotten a hearing date. I want to think it may have already been bench decided or something like that, without wasting time in a hearing. The ssa says they can't see in the "details" on my account. Really? What do you think sir? Has this happened with anybody else? Please let me know!! Ty
Johnathan you excellent , straight forward and very informative, im in NJ but i wish i used you, i just went to a hearing and felt horrible coming out..in tears and i had a lawyer!!Which btw she never contscted me at all and only met with me 20 prior to hearing in a hallway..Now i sit and wait for the dreaded letter, i waited 4 years almost for this and had no advice anything with my lawyer, i could have gone it alone..Wish i had you
Great info...thank you for the videos... I watched a lot of them and they were helpful... I went before the judge today... And had a positive experience... In the end my lawyer told me that I was going to get approved... So I guess I will see what happens next! Thank you again...
Hi Mr. Ginsberg! Thank you again for your help!!! Your videos actually helped me so much more and answered my questions - much more so than the actual lawyer I hired!! After 2.5 years of waiting for a hearing, I finally had one on October 23, 2018. It was a horrible experience and I thought I was actually on trial. Although I did get approved on December, 3, 2018, the judge did something that I thought was morally wrong for a judge and I am still thinking about filing a complaint. The judge not only blatantly lied to me, but he accused me of making up symptoms related to Multiple Sclerosis. Since many of my symptoms due to MS are "invisible", I have been accused of "lying" before and that is something that really irks me - especially since my MRI's prove it by showing lesions in my brain and spine. Due to the judge's actions, I was "thrown off" with my thinking effectively and had a lot of trouble answering questions (which I guess, was a good thing in the long run). So, after the initial preliminaries, the judge immediately accused me of being "psychosomatic" (that was the exact word that he used!). He stated that my neurologist wrote that in his notes - that my symptoms "were in my head". My lawyer asked the judge what page that statement from the neurologist was on and the judge gave him the page number. The lawyer looked on the given page and said nothing. At the time, since nothing was said from my lawyer to the judge nor to me, I assumed that my neurologist did state that he thought I was making up my MS symptoms. So I was very upset throughout the hearing that my neurologist would believe such a thing! I had a difficult time thinking, focusing and explaining anything to the judge for the remainder of the hearing. As it turns out, my neurologist never stated that I was making my symptoms up. It wasn't until the END of the horrible hearing that my lawyer told me that there was nothing on that page whereby my neurologist said such a thing (plus, I finally saw my neuro's notes - all of the notes - and he never said that I was psychosomatic!). In fact, my neurologist's notes were very favorable towards me receiving disability. The following are my 2 questions: **Question 1 - Can I still report the judge for making up the statement that my neurologist stated that I was lying about my symptoms? (What he did was very wrong. He was lying on purpose. He stated my neurologist's name, so it was not like he was accidentally reading another person's chart. If the judge was trying to catch me in a "lie", that was not the right nor moral way to do it! My MRI's, letters from co-workers, medications, other doctor letters proved otherwise. Why would a judge blatantly state that one of my neurologists state that I was making up my symptoms when I never have AND when my neurologist never ever stated such a thing?!?) What that judge did was very wrong! I understand trying to catch someone in a lie, but again, that was a wrong way to it! **Question 2 - Again I was approved on December, 3, 2018. It is now January 27, 2019. I am still NOT in the system thus still no benefits! Is that normal TODAY - to wait that long after approved??? (I have checked my file online, called the main SS number and have gone in personally to 2 separate SS offices and no one can help me! No one has an answer except that I have still not been inputted into the system. Even the disability lawyer and the paralegal are not helping me since they do not "handle" anything after the case! I have only 3 weeks of money left as I have already gone through all of my retirement money. Supposedly, according to my disability lawyer from past conversations and some of the people in SS that I spoke to, I should be receiving Medicare as of December 3, 2018 since I have been purchasing my own health insurance for over 2.5 years since I applied for disability - although some people in SS told me that I will have to continue to purchase my insurance for another 24 months. I have only received 1 letter - and that was the initial letter stating that I was approved. Since December 3, 2018 had to shell out an additional $2500 for "health insurance" that should be covered by medicare). Even though I am supposed to get back pay I have lost so much financially. I know that I am in the "home stretch", but I am running out of time financially. Thank you for your time. Going through this disability process was complete hell for me - and it seems to continue to be. - Hailey Friedman
I have been fighting over 5 years and finally got approved and now I have to wait another month or 2 to just get paperwork and then another month maybe for a check. OMG.......I hope I last that long...
I just got my fully favorable decision today. It’s funny because the judge denied my attorney fee agreement. I’d like to thank you for your videos. I can hear them well and understand what you’re saying, unlike other videos. Yours helped me throughout the process. Many thanks.
Hello thank you for your videos. It is has been 3 months and I have not gotten my SSDI back pay, my lawyer was paid already. I call SSA and is getting the run around. They say they are ensuring that I do not owe any state or government agencies, and saying it's 60-90 days after your first monthly payment, it has been past that. This is absolutely time consuming. They are finding ways to not give people their money. Thank you so much again for your videos.
WOW, you made me feel really good. I had my hearing April 30th. During the hearing the hearing the judge never asked me any questions and at first the VE did have a few jobs for me then by the end of the hearing the VE said he had no jobs for me. It was almost like the judge was helping me from the get go. I wear 2 hearing aids and she told the VE that even working in a library was to loud of an environment for me and the VE guy was like." I cant believe what im hearing" you could tell his displeasure and finally he said he had to jobs for me. Hearing is just one of my disabilities I have a ship load more but the judge focused on my hearing so After watching your video I feel my chances are really good.No determination letter yet. Its been 75 days since my hearing. Nervous AF,,,Pray for me...
Thank you for your time my question is you said that we will get lump sum before our first monthly check so are you saying that is possible guaranteed or most likely because we get a check next month coming and we are now looking for the lump sum now to hit our account but are you saying that it will hit our account before the next month checks start which will be our first check for the monthly?
The firm representing me had sent me an e mail congratulating me.Apparently they got paid what I owed them. The SSDI approval letter has not been received by them or me yet.I guess it must be because Social Security and SSDI are two separate programs?
I appreciate the help from you, it's helpful when i'm hearing the advice that you're giving on your page. I appreciate it and it helped me out so much!! ✨✨
I was approved for SSDI benefits during, from what I’m told, the reconsideration review process. Did not need to go before a judge. I received my back pay in 48 hours once I got the decision My wife and I relieved. Still waiting on the decision letter
FULLY FAVORABLE.............TOTALMENTE FAVORABLE. Hearing date jan/05/2021.. response fully favorable letter feb/04/2021 **even if ypur voice brakes, just tell the truth**
I was approved for SSDI.I even got a payment direct deposited into my checking account on March 12. It was higher than my early retirement monthly direct deposit that I have received since Sept.of 2018.Today,March 15 I receive 2 letters from Social Security saying that my payments will now be mailed to me.I did not request that.I also get a Social Security letter saying the amount is the same as it has been.Is that because early retirement Social Security and SSDI are two different programs?
During COVID, I had an over the phone SSDI application initial interview. However, SSA failed to process my SSDI over the phone application. I did not apply for SSI and got approved for SSI instead of SSDI. I appealed.
Your awesome brother, my shit attorney doesn’t explain any of this to me. I got 💯 favorable decision now they are tellling me it takes another decision from social security now. Why? It’s taking forever to get my final decision. I’m broke and can’t work what are we supposed to do?
Thank you for all of the videos. I live in Ohio and some of the information that you give is universal for us. I am currently waiting because my case got sent to a quality review. One of the people that I talked with on the phone had initially told me that my case was approved. Should I be worried that they sent it to this or is it a pretty routine thing?
This stuff is a racket--why does anybody have to go out and get a lawyer to win? Every one of us who had a lawyer won our case why was that? Think about how many of us are out fighting them (SS) for money that we worked so many years for? My lawyer was asked one question and pocketed $6,000. I received a letter one day denying my ssdi. Then I received a letter from ssi saying they denied me ssi, but it has been determined that I am disabled. called ssi and case worker told me verbally over the phone that it has been determined I am disabled. Yet I have not received a letter stating how much I am entitled to. I am confused.
I have a question. I was in a car accident September 12 2020 that left me disabled. I applied for SSDI on April 15 2021. Just found out A few days ago I was approved. Iam not understanding about the 5 month waiting period. Can someone please explain, how many months of back pay will I get? Thank you for the video.👍
I received a notice that my lawyer asked for more time to submit my appeal , she never contacted me to tell me this do you know long this will delay my appeal thank you please follow this lawyer he has been spot on with everything he stated also before my lawyer ever answers me
Hi Jonathan, as soon as I left the courtroom after winning my case I was approached by two Social Security personnel and was told I would not get 2000 of my $3000 because I was not at full retirement age. I am a full retirement age now but they seem to refuse to give me what is due as the judge ordered. What can I do? I feel I have been being scammed. They did not mail me my signed page like they told me they would. I was 62 at that time and now I am 67
I've received my Notice of Decision from the ALJ, but I'm still waiting for my Letter of Award. I was approved on January 10, 2024, but my login shows payments suspended. I live in Kyrgyzstan. How can I get my SSDI payments unsuspended? Is it common for accounts to be suspended after approval in this process?
Illinois Dept. Of Human Resources is making my decision and I missed a call from them this evening left a voice mail saying we're trying to get ahold of you
I just received my fully favorable decision Dec 22 2018. I've read the letter 3 times. My claim had SSDI and SSI in it. I was turned down by another ALJ in 2016. My dod is before my date last insured! The ALJ said I should of received SSI and SSDI for my disability onset date up to her decision. She entered the previous judges opinion. My question is do I get SSDI? Or SSI? Being the holidays can't contact my attorney. Your videos have helped me with my sanity and I thank you for the time and effort!!

Learned a lot from you videos. Had my phone hearing today which was absolutely overwhelming, however my attorney believes that it went well.... I am 100% disabled via the VA and a Military retiree... Hopefully I will receive a favorable answer soon....
I owe my family everything for helping me!
I owe my husband everything for being there and supporting me. I have always been the type of woman to take care of myself so being disabled has almost driven me insane!!! I pray my disability goes through very soon

Paul Morris all so true! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
@Black Diamond...thanks! Good luck with everything!

Hope this helps people on time frame.
snake pliskin2.0 Thanks for the info Congratulations 🎉💯
Rize Hashiriyaa About 4 weeks
Just to clarify 4 weeks for judges written determination and right about 1 week later on awards letter.
I won my case a week ago. Your videos helped. Thanks 😊
I finally got approved and I know your videos helped me incredibly! Thank you so much for all the good advice!
Really good info here. Discouraging to think after fighting for 5 yrs to get approved, they could take it away if I show any progress in my condition. You explained more to me on UA-cam then my personal attorney did.
I have watched most of your videos. Thank you for helping me understand all of the SSD stuff!!
This video is very informative, thanks very much.

Ty
Good info I just went through this w.o an attorney, hard work it was
Great info about opening a separate bank account for your Disability payments!!! You should make another video focusing on just that. VERY important!

Great info...thank you for the videos... I watched a lot of them and they were helpful... I went before the judge today... And had a positive experience... In the end my lawyer told me that I was going to get approved... So I guess I will see what happens next! Thank you again...
Jerry Ellis did you get your approval letter yet? I’m still waiting for decision. Did your letter come in the white envelope or a large Manila one
Hi Mr.
The following are my 2 questions:
**Question 1 - Can I still report the judge for making up the statement that my neurologist stated that I was lying about my symptoms?

Sorry to hear that about your payment. I see it’s been 2 months since your last post, have you received your backpay yet?
Your videos are very informative. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Paul Azzarella how did it go prayers🙌🏾
Thank you for your time my question is you said that we will get lump sum before our first monthly check so are you saying that is possible guaranteed or most likely because we get a check next month coming and we are now looking for the lump sum now to hit our account but are you saying that it will hit our account before the next month checks start which will be our first check for the monthly?
Thanks for the videos they help me win love you
He helped me also
The firm representing me had sent me an e mail congratulating me.Apparently they got paid what I owed them.

I appealed.
