Hi, Sevan Motors. Thanks for all the great information you’ve provided. At 1:27 [minutes] you mention removing the engine mounts and lowering the back of the engine for repairs / servicing? I’ve searched and searched but can’t find any videos showing how to. Would you be able to do a ‘step by step’ on how to do it? Thanks again.
Hello. I have the same problem with the cabin fan on a 2006 B-Class (the speed control is electronic). I can't find this resistor!. Can you tell me where this resistor is? Thanks in advance
Great video. I bought my 2007 a150 at the end of October. The blower only worked on number 5. Recently the blower stared screeching and now it’s completely stopped working. Would you say I should replace the resistor and the blower? Could it have seized? Also, where is your garage? I live in Watford, but work in Perivale. I have some other bits that need doing (eg wipers only working on fastest speed) and you seem like a trustworthy mechanic.
This is caused by blocked drain by the pollen filter. First thing you need to do open the cover where the pollen filter is and check the rain water drain is clear, if not then remove the rubber grommet all together. Then open the battery compartment and check if there any water there and drain it if you need to. If the blower is screeching that means you'll need to replace it. My garage is in Hammersmith. @@forrera168 you were right. The pollen filter was in a pool of water and the grommet was completely blocked. So that’s the cause of the problem. I removed the old fan and the resistor this morning. It’s quite a job to remove the fan. I dismantled it into two parts as I can’t get it out in one big piece. The problem is, my replacement blower is a pirate part and it has one slight difference. Instead of threaded holes built into the fan, the two parts are held together by bolts and nuts, and it’s impossible to hold the nuts on the other side to attach the cover to the fan once the fan is already in position. I’m trying to do all of this from the pedal area. I don’t feel like going through the pain of returning the blower to Germany, so I’ll have to persevere.
Hello boss, can you please tell us where the fan blower motor for a Mercedes Benz w169 is located ? And have got a video for this or planning to load up one anytime soon ? Regards
Hi, the blower motor is behind the dashboard in the middle on the top, or in another word it is behind the pollen filter. You might be able to see it if you remove the pollen filter and it's holder. I never needed to remove one because they are reliable.
@@forrera168 Hi there and thanks for your response, sorry to be a pain ,when you say the pollen filter ,will that be underneath the metal mesh? And those that mean I have to take out the middle console and if so ,how do i do that as O cant find any screws ? I have never done this before and dont wanna mistakenly break anything. Thanks
Hello.i got an mercedes benz a class a170,1.7 petrol,2005,before Christmas i was in holliday, before to i go my car in the morning works perfectly, even in the morning,at -4 ,-5 grade in couple of minutes was warm in the car...when i comeback from holliday my car heating work but poor,i can feel it very low,on first level on air conditioning..now heating still dont work, but car is no overheating,no noices, just heating dont work properly...i cant fell a little bit of warm air coming from dashboard hole but very low..what i can do?
Hello, first thing to do check the pollen filter, if it's dirty or wet replace it and clean the drain. Then check if the blower works in all 5 speeds. Finally, check the temperature gauge, if it stays on low replace the thermostat.
I have the same problem with my 2006 Mercedes Benz A150, (blower only works on set number 5) my question is, if i do this procedure. Will it bring my blower to function normally again? Also the condition right now is, it is only blowing warm air when i turn the blower on number 5. Will it fix my AC to function normally? Thankyou so much before.
Blower working on number 5 only is the result of potential bigger problem. Check if there is water by the pollen filter and clear drain if needed. Also check if there is water in the battery compartment and clean if necessary. Replacing the blower resistor usually rectifies the speed fault but it will not make the air any cooler I'm afraid.
Sevan Motors FORRERA Everything was fine until my car was used by a tire shop guy, he turned the key too fast so that it seems to be electrical malfunction with my car, eversince then, the AC of my car is dead and blower only works on number 5.
Top guy, 2 minute job, works a treat now, and resistor only cost me £9👌. Very useful clip, thank you 🖒
JUST DID MY BLOWER RESISTOR TODAY. THANKS SO MUCH!!🥰
Perfect, just what I needed to locate the blower thermostat in order to replace it.

@@forrera168 thank you for your advice. All sorted. Fan and resistor changed. Working perfectly.
Hi. I have same problem with AC. What do you call the one you replace?
It's called blower resistor, but if you have climate control with different control panel then you don't have one like the video.

This method doesn't work on my car (A150 W169), is there a part that needs to be replaced?
Do you have controls like the one in the video, what is not working?
Hi, what's the name of the part that you removed from back.
Thanks
