- A quick video to explain, how to change the blower motor speed control Resistor. Symptom is fan spin at high speed only. And won't respond to any other speed upon turning control knob. Principle is Same to other models too.. Except the procedure... Many thanks for your support.
The most common faulty is the thermal fuse on top. You can buy a new one for € 0,70. Just solder it.
Thank you so much! I am a 27 yr old female and was able to this on my own thanks to you !!!
Hey Mate, I've gotten the 2008 W245 B Class. I'm getting desperate because my ac compressor is fine, ac gas is fine, blower motor is fine but it just blows hot air. An obd scan said to replace internal temperature but the mechanic ripped the dash out to replace it but couldn't find it and I tried finding it in the bulkhead area. Any advice on how to manually engage the AC compressor because I'm at my wits end.

If the steering wheel is on the left is the resistor is in the left as well???
I have a A150 left steering wheel and the resistors are on the right. You'll need to unscrew under the glove compartment.

Min doesn’t work at all, on any speed. Today I started the heater and nothing. When I set to auto I can only hear the normal change in the engine idle, like it used to do. You think it could be the resistor aswell?
Hi usually when every regulator goes, it runs at full speed..here in this case 1st of all check blower fuse, then try the regulator..corrosion at the pins are very common, if still no luck it's the blower fan...with A class and B class flood is a common issue. Which can destroy the motor. Have a look into my other video, let u know how water ended up in battery compartment and destroy all the electrics through blower motor..
@@TheSonyjoseph replaced the motor ( with brand new motor+regulator ) and nothing. It doesn’t have a resistor ( or if it does, its in different location ) mine is a little different, I have the auto button in the center of the circular dial, knobs are different ( circular dials ). Checked the 7.5 Amp fuses and they are fine. I can hear the noise of the climatronic when I turn the dials, press switches and everrything works except the blower fan. Car is dry. I dont know what to try anymore, it was extremely difficult to replace the blower fan, the old one was too noisy anyway… I’ll just take it to the garage
@@cipri198zero there should be a relay too
@@TheSonyjoseph where could be the location? Passenger side? Or engine compartment?

Hello mate.i got same car model..mine blow air but dont come warm air..what i can do?all works before to i go in holliday, when i comeback give low warm air,but now it stop give warn air inside the cabin..
Hi there could be 3 reasons, mainly check there is enough coolant in your expansion tank, also make sure there is no air trapped inside the coolant circulating system.
Second and most probably your heater matrix got clogged. This may happen , as you left the car for couple of weeks the heat exchanger or the matrix got blocked. You have to clean it by using a water hose. Bit tricky because after connecting both coolant lines back, make sure there is enough coolant in the system and there is no air trapped In the system .
Finally the flap which open and close while you turn the know , itself stuck in certain position...
Also make sure you thermostat is working...after running a while, if the radiator fan turns ON means it's working.
Thanks
@@TheSonyjoseph is weard..befor to i go to holliday in before last christmas all work, heating was ok,and car coem warm verry fast inside..when i coemback from holliday after 2-3 weeks car give low warming inside..but from then to now when is cold i dont used heating...but now is cold outside and my girlfriend is the driver and she is pregnant,so cant be in car on this time when is cold..one mechanic sugest me blow heater is stucked...so i dont know..is expensive to repair it?
@@TheRazvancristian it's shouldn't be expensive, as the blower is working its should be either the flap which controls the hot air , in stucked position , the heater matrix is blocked, or the thermostat...all the 3 cases ,labour can be average between £ 50_150 ,if u r in UK. Parts separate, if u need one. Thanks..
