Your speaking the Truth Archie, watch collecting is very expensive now. I have a very small collection, and I’m very content. I own a Rolex date just stainless, 18 white gold bezel, a Brietling Evolution, and a couple of Seikos. They are fantastic time pieces, and not really looking for anything more exotic. I was a one Rolex guy from 1980 to 1999. Twenty years just wearing a SS GMT. I dived in it, I wore it in boardrooms, I wore it in the best nightclubs and the worse hellholes across SE Asia. I wore it to dinner and wore it in the hotel pools. I could instantly check the time to call head office back in Europe. It was my friend and we went through a lot of highs and lows. It was on my arm when ai got married and when I got divorced. It was on my arm when I enlisted in the Australian army, through RCT, IET and when I was commissioned as an officer. Now I have 4 Rolex and a Tudor. I like them, but they are not my friend. They are what I wear on my arm.

Yeah, maybe should've learned that lesson BEFORE slapping 12 watches on your credit card, stuffing them inside a looney tunes safe and phucking off to the other side of the planet 🛩
