Hi Archie, Loved the video! I don't know how this happened, but I picked yesterday my steel no date Submariner from the AD after an 18-month. When I asked if I can re-submit a demand for another watch, they refused. Go figure.

Now this is worth listening to and "liking / sharing / subscribing" for. You are spot on Archie. It's awful behaviour by the ADs. Walk into a Rolex AD and although you're the one with the money you're made to feel like it's an honour to be allowed in the door. Karma will catch up with them. It always does - you can't treat customers so poorly for so long and get away with it forever. Good one Arch! Good to see the old Archie back.
I should say that I own 4 Rolex. The "journey" has left a bitter taste and although I've spent a lot of money with Rolex and love the actual watches - I'm left with a very negative feeling about the brand. I won't be buying any more.
Archie is the only consumer that truly expresses those that share the same market. I believe Rolex the maker is the cause of watch shortage of inventory, AD is simply manipulating the limited received products to leverage other sales. Most likely the limited inventory received alone does not provide the revenue of past years.
Why attack just Rolex (because you want one??) - how about Patek...VC...etc...? All the same. I guess it's the journey not the destination for the Swiss watch brands 🙂🙂
Yeah you know all of this, but you'll be back down there tomorrow, and the day after that, and so on, trying to polish the same knobs for the same "over-priced," mid-tier luxury watches. Why??? Because they're popular. Don't get me wrong....Rolex makes a fine watch, but Patek Philippe they are not. Very few of the complications are particularly impressive. The finishing on them isn't complex. Their mostly assembled, and finished by automation now. That's a well known fact. They're not even top of the line. The only 2 main reasons that "most" people want them, is value retention, and the brand recognition. The value retention is only due to the high demand, and lack of supply. The system that you loathe so much, is what is creating both of those aspects. I hear everyone complain about it, but I don't see many people boycotting the brand. You want the price to go down???? Stop trying to buy them. Stop telling everyone to "invest" in them. You wanna know why the AD's laugh at you, and treat you with disdain??? Because they realize that they don't "have" to treat you with respect. To them, you all look like a bunch of junkies.....in there, no matter how bad they treat you, trying to buy them chocolates, fancy dinners, and basically suck a d!ck for a chance at a submariner, or whatever else. You let them sell you as much unwanted inventory as they want to. Have some self-respect. All of you are better than this. And frankly, there's way better watches out there in the world
I gave up on buying Rolex at the AD & I am not paying today's inflated prices on the grey market. My solution is to buy other brands, like Breitling & Omega, that want to sell their watches to all who want to buy them.
Agree with everything you say Arch ! Having said that I can't be bothered to play the AD games ,so I go grey market and pay the premium and keep my integrity and self respect intact. Appreciate I may be supporting the grey market, however thinking long term the pieces i buy increase in value and I get the watch I want without having to suck up to the AD's. Rolex at Retail is a myth reserved only for the very rich and people who are happy to spend a lot of money on stuff they don't even want.
It‘s just a bubble now. Like allbubble‘s this one will pop too and then people will be able to buy watches normally at the retailer again. When you‘re in a bubble you think it‘s forever, but step back, get some perspective and just chill.
I love my Rolex AD very helpful need to do visit Family owned AD my advice.I own 4 Rolex bought and serviced since 1999 at the AD they know I'm not a flipper.I purchased 4 Omega watches from Jomashop last 20 years I take them to my Rolex AD who doesn't sell Omega at their location but they do at one of their other locations and they handle the shipping and insurance I'm sure they get a small kick back from Omega but it has helped me build a bond with them. They are trying to secure a couple steel sports Rolex for my friends and the first thing they asked me is they going keep not flip. They told me it's their and Rolex goal to have Rolex on more wrists and trying to make sure the one watch guy the Plumber in your example can get one. Thanks Arch there our good Rolex AD'S TOO BUDDY.

Lol go try Patek, AP , VC and ask for popular sports watch too would love to hear you scream about them too
If you desire a Rolex and it is your grail, you will not be happy with a Tudor, you will still want a Rolex. Everything is in shortage.
Luxe goods addict, makes me think of Lou Reed "I'm waiting for my man" - same level of respect.
I love Archie explodes about time since he is back.
Archie is the only consumer that truly expresses those that share the same market. I believe Rolex the maker is the cause of watch shortage of inventory, AD is simply manipulating the limited received products to leverage other sales. Most likely the limited inventory received alone does not provide the revenue of past years.
Welcome back Archie ! 👏👏👏🤴
And frankly, there's way better watches out there in the world
Perfectly put!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Absolutely agree!!
How can you safe self respect buying a non existentially item over retail? Right lie to your self.
An instant classic, well said Archie.
Archie is partly contributing to the problem by constantly hyping up the Rolex brand and promoting the steel sports models
You have a gmt, explorer 2 does the trick. Don’t stop believinnnnn
Fantastic vid paul. Thats why i will never buy a rolex i will keep my omega terra 8602. Just for the principal
Archie this is the gospel. "Do not be discouraged, for the Archie your horological father, is with you wherever you go. Archie 1:9"
Great vid Archie. Though I do think you may have just lengthened your time on the "wait list" for the GMT. ;)
Totally right Arch 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤤
This mirrors my experience, Rolex are total fuckers….. I bought a MOTFM!
Too true the people need to be told .
If anyone should archy luxury should. Go tell them how much you promote their product. Start at Rolex Switzerland.
Literally the best video on watch collecting I’ve seen. Unfortunately very true and I agree this is what watch collecting has become because of the flippers, they hype of social media and bad ADs.
Boycott Rolex
