    This lens overview was very helpful! I have been going back and forth on which lenses to get!

    You're getting a great image with all of these lenses. I'd love to know more about your shooting workflow. Great channel! Hope you keep making content.

      Thank you! Can definitely make a video on my shooting workflow what specifics are you interested in seeing?

      I love the image you're getting out of your C70. I'd be curious to know everything you do in nailing down your image ... how you expose, choice of codecs grading, etc.

      For sure, I’ll definitely make a video covering some of that stuff soon!

    Great video. Versatility makes a difference. I would love to have a box of Cooke lenses for my C70 but they are a lot of money and it's more stuff to carry.

    I think the ef with speed boost was a no-brainer! 👍🏽👍🏽

    Nice :) We're using for C70 S35 Tokina 10-20 f2.8 on gimbal due to low weight, speedboosted EF 24-105 II which we believe is the best option for C70 as standard zoom turning it into f2.8 with IS, and eyeing to 70-200 f2.8 mk3, which we rent always and like it so much :)

    My son uses a C70 for concerts. He has the same lenses except he has the older 17-35mm f2.8 L instead of the 16-35mm, and a 15mm fisheye. Great tip on using the normal adapter on the 70-200. I'll send him this video.

    Primes are useful when that extra stop of light is needed but too restrictive for many gigs. Top end zooms are almost as sharp as primes, and for the purpose of commercial video work outside of a studio, almost a necessity.
    I have both the EF16-35 and the RF15-35 but will be selling the EF. When I need an extra wide shot I'll use the 15-35 on the R5 or the R6.
    Nice work!

    The Tokina 11-20 2.8 is a good wide angle zoom lens.

      if autofocus isnt important then the dzo 12-25 might be interesting. its also parfocal, which could be good for your line of work.

    What's the accessory name of the flat screen you have attached to the camera? Im looking to make the highest quality home movie with my kids and this would be a lifesaver compared to looking through the small screen all the time

    if you still uise davinci for your mixes, could you make a video of your workflow? if you shoot football could you do that but if not basketball would be nice too. just trying to learn small things from other creators. love the work

    I am really struggling because I bought a bunch of lenses for the R5C and now I bought the C70 also. I really don't know what lenses to use other than my two cinema lenses which I obviously cannot autofocus for yet until I pick up some sort of lidar.

    • @thebobbymedia
      @thebobbymedia  8 місяців тому

      Which lenses did you buy? I think the 3 mentioned in this video are all you really need. If you need to use autofocus then i would recommend selling the cinema lenses and getting these instead of buying a lidar

    Hi Bobby, how do you set the slow shutter below 1/15 sec?
    I choose "slow" in "shutter mode" but I can't go below 1/15. I can only increase to 1/30.

    RF is just crazy expensive. Working with an EF Sigma 18-35 1.8 which is nice and a 70-200 sigma which is doing a majority of the work for me.

  • @ChroniclesofGhoul
    @ChroniclesofGhoul 7 місяців тому

    Just to clarify, with EF lenses you can use the 0.71 focal reducer to get roughly a FF field of view, but with RF lenses, you can only get S35, is that right?
    Is there no RF focal reducer?

    • @thebobbymedia
      @thebobbymedia  7 місяців тому

      yes exactly, i wish there was a rf reducer but unfortunately there isnt. So any RF lens you put on the camera will be multiplied by 1.5 ish

    are you using a speedboooster ?

      @@thebobbymedia and that gives you a full frame 16-35 look on the c70?

    • @thebobbymedia
      @thebobbymedia  Рік тому

      @@ChristopherBalladarez Yes exactly. If i didn't have it on there would be a 1.5 x crop due to the c70s 35 mm sensor.

      @@thebobbymedia shoot what a small world. I just met up with another Cinematographer with a c70 yesterday. I feel like I have met more people with the C70 then the R5C. I don't think I met anyone in real life that actually has the R5C.

  • @pizzlesshorts
    @pizzlesshorts 7 місяців тому

    So I have the 24 to 70 but I ended up getting the speed booster and I don't have any EF glass. If you are using the EF-15 to 35 are you getting any vignetting? Or any other undesirable effects

    • @thebobbymedia
      @thebobbymedia  7 місяців тому

      There's no vignetting at all, the image quality is great. The only downside is when i do have to use autofocus its very loud and may get picked up by a shotgun mic in some situations.
