Despite it being a miscalculation, I dare say it remains until today a good force in the Church because of multiple reasons. God has a way to turn the bad into good. Plus, the SSPX has provided shelter for those running from rampant liturgical abuse. I say this as someone from Asia, where you do not have the abundance of liturgy to choose from and where conservative voices calling for reverence in the liturgy are rarely heard. The Vatican has said going to the SSPX and contributing to their cause is fine, as long as you're not adhering to a spirit of schism. I don't make the rules. I see that as a chance for me to attend a more reverent liturgy and worship God in a more worthy manner. So, yes, I don't have to imagine supporting the SSPX. I trust God will sort out the mess that we're in. My duty is to follow my conscience and fulfill my duties of my state in life. God bless you, brother.

Hello Juan. Regarding infallibility, please take a look at the document Pastor Aeternus on the internet. I believe you can read everything in 15 minutes. Infallibility is explained there and, to summarize, for you, the pope is infallible only in extrinsic circumstances.

SSPX is not in schism. They are merely doing what the Church always did. While I like FSSP, THEY. are not representing the full tradition when they cling to the spirit of Vatican II that is being held up as 'traditional' which it is not

Pope Francis gave them faculties for confession and marriage, also less well known is that in 2017 he also gave them permission in a letter to Bishop Fellay to go ahead with ordinations of priests without approval of the local bishops. In other words: This is all a thing about the legacy of Pope Paul VI. and JP II and what they did in their reforms. After reading for many months about the doctrinal questions I have conclucuded there is nothing to fear. SSPX is wholly orthodox. You do not have to be under a german bishop to be catholic , the people of god celebrating mass of a validly ordaines priest in communion with the Pope suffices since the SSPX simply holda on to what was done pre Vatican II thus they are not in any contradiction with the perennial church

@@okj9060 Thank you. 🙏🏻In my case i could also attend FSSP but my friends are SSPX. And the NO mass we go to is the standard type but they even leave out the admission of guilt (Mea Culpa) and lots of abnormalities. The SSPX do a tremendous job to keep faith in the families

The FSSP became a thing because the sspx isn't in communion with Rome, the FSSP is the sspx except Reconciled to Rome
