The Perfect Pink Tea Recipe Anyone Can Make

- Ingredients:
4 cups water
1 star anise
12 cloves
10 cardamoms
½ tsp salt
6 tsp green tea
¼ tsp baking soda
1 cup ice water
2 cups milk
2 ½ tbsp sugar
1 tbsp pistachio
Instructions:
1. Pour water in a large pot
2. Add star anise, cloves, cardamoms, salt to taste, and loose green tea leaves
3. Bring water to a boil
4. Stir in baking soda
5. Simmer tea for 25 minutes on low to medium heat
6. Turn off the heat and add a cup of ice water
7. Aerate for 7-8 minutes
8. Strain out the spices and loose tea leaves and the tea aside (Store unused tea in the fridge and use it up within a few days )
9. Pour milk in a pot and brink it to a boil
10. Stir in sugar
11. Pour ¼ cup of reserved pink tea
12. Stir in chopped pistachios and almonds and simmer for 4-5 min
13. Ready to enjoy!

Great tea...but GREEN TEA LEAVES should NEVER be boiled.. only brewed.
Actually you can make it with any long tea leaves....am from WB and the Darjeeling tea leaves are shorter so it doesn't work.... you can use "oolong" tea leaves too...they are from Taiwan originally.

This tea deserves more recognition. One really has to savor every sip as it can be time-consuming to make, which I had no idea before.

Today I learnt that pink tea exists in the world! Before clicking it, I thought it was a variation on rose milk or roohafza!!!
I don't know why people are saying it's too time consuming... Any masala tea takes about this much time.... Also, I have a kashmiri neighbour who has got me hooked to kahwa, noon chai and sheer chai... And trust me guys, it's worth all the time it may consume.

@@singhakali that comes from that green tea, you can add a bit (a pinch) of baking soda and keep boiling till it gets dark reddish color.

1.Baking soda is responsible fort he reddish tint, coz the baking soda reacts with the chlorophyll pigment and thus the reddish tint.
2.Baking soda is good for digestion

@@sharon1074 No, saffron is red in colour but when we mix it with milk it turns into golden yellow colour.. It won't turn into pink..

you don't add half of garam masala in kashmiri tea... hack there is no seasoning or spice needed (specially baking soda or powder) get high-quality Kashmiri tea leaves and do the res... by they way one of the only people that got the end part right. so thumbs up for that!!!
