For anyone who would try this, please be very careful and patient while handling the sugar part of the recipe. Caramalized sugar is very very high in temperature and can cause very bad burns if handled with hurry or carelessness.

This is sheer magic! I have always admired our 'halwaais' for their expertise and pride in the craft. You have validated that admiration.
"*sheer* magic" nice one
@@watercressfabrique3333 Oxymoron eh?
Yeah IKR, I began to notice this recently myself when I was curious how the "Dodha/Doda Barfi" is made and it takes lots of cooking time and energy/efforts.... God the halwaais are truly the artists considering how little time they have to make numerous batches to sell especially during festivals 🫡
Soan papadi is so under rated man for all the art and craft goes in making this
It's made by machines now. That's why they sell for cheap on Diwali
@@Dr.Kraig_Ren Also in some regions they don't even clean those machines and in this case they are unhygienic and nowadays people prefer hand-made soan papadi rather than machine made
Wow! Mesmerizing! I’ve always wondered how soan papdi melts in our mouth so easily, from what it’s made from but never bothered to look for it! Seeing how effortlessly and easily you make it makes one realize it’s a job that requires a lot of practice! Maybe I’ll try but i feel buying and eating it would be so much easier!!
Never imagined about how soan papdi is made. This seems challenging but interesting to try it out to see the results. Yours look amazing 👍

I don’t like eating son papri but the process of making it makes me want to try it!!!
Actually flavour really matters i specifically, like only orange flavour one. And it was also same with jalebi but you can't flavour. (Eating first time is hardest)
@@free2danimator170 oh I didn’t know there was an orange flavor too
@@beautimarks9082 I think you should try the Soan papadis made of desi ghee. Desi ghee soan papadis have different texture than the one shown in this video
@@beautimarks9082here in Delhi, we like soan papri in which there are two crisp orange layers in between them. So, whenever you eat them, they sounds crunchy due to two crisp orange layers inside them.
Very nice, thanks for this recipe
Thanks for the receipy will try for sure
Wow what a flex, rannaghor folks! I didn’t realize our culture had this style of pulled candy making too! But the toasted besan/flour flavor with ghee and badam… it takes advantage of the nutty/toasty flavor similarities, and that is some serious foodie genius. I ate store bought shon papri growing up and was always amazed by the texture and flavor, though it’s too sweet for me to eat as much as sandesh. I thought it was made of… like, a fried noodle situation? Magic? And now I know. Just wow.
