Thanks for the video it helped to watch before I installed mine. Just a note to add I was searching the Internet for , the Bottom light is the 4g light and when its lit up it is receiving signal, but mine started flashing, that means someone is connected to it and using it as internet. It does take a little time for everything to get lined out, I think mine took about 10 mins, I had no problems installing it, Start with scanning the QR code on the front of the device and follow the directions, thats it.. Thanks Jonathan!
I got mine today. Hooked it up and called immediately. After about an hour and three techs, the apps shows its registered. I got full bars and 107 mgbs down and 34 mbps up. Working like a charm.
We ordered one. It’s coming tomorrow. Does it require a DSL connection. We only have Satelite WiFi. The customer service rep didn’t say we’d need DSL but I’m wondering where we plug the Ethernet cable without DSL.
A tiny observation or two: the GPS plug is a press-fit, not a screw-in. Look at it with a magnifier app and you’ll see there are no threads. It is a tight fit, but can be done. You suggest it be placed in a window. That may be, if you’re lucky and the window faces south, where the satellite is, on the Equator. Better to put it outside, with a southern view of the sky.
Tips with getting these booster up and running 1 make sure the device is registered 2 make sure your router has DHCP enabled 3 make sure you mount near a window if possible the booster will not work without GPS lock and typcially it won't get one unless its near a window or Outside(the GPS antenna) Once everything is situated, just wait for about an hour, and once you see the LTE signal on your phone increase, you'll know the booster is up and running
Im confused. The information on AT&T website indicate the device connects to an AT&T cell tower and boosts the signal in the home. It also says that no internet service is necessary in the home for this device to boost your cell signal. With that being true, why is there an ethernet cable to plug into an internet router?
Unboxed mine today. No instructions included.🙄 Luckily I found your video so I guess I'll watch it all the way through and figure this thing out. They really should have text to come install this crap. Not only do I need it because there's no signal strength in Southern Maryland where I live, but now I'm a AT&T tech apparently too.
Our old micro cell is still working and we just got the new one in the mail today. I wonder how’s we can get a 2nd one we have a business account and just built a new office and need another one. Also how do you add numbers to it like the old one ?
I don't know about the numbers. There was noOption to do so.My previous cell tower allowed us to add the phone numbers that were associated with our AT&T account which was just the 3 associated in our household. Now, I do not see any option to add numbers that you would like to associate with the tower period from what I've researched online the new cell towers that they are providing for free allow allows anyone driving by to use That tower if it's the strongest signal in the area otherwise their phone will ping the nearest cell tower that's stronger than that and revert back to the other signal. So, bottom line I'm not sure how you can register phone numbers with this tower. I will do some more research and see.
Does anyone know if your cellphone IP address is treated exactly the same whether or not you have this cell booster active? I don't want the booster to change what my phone is already doing if i have to connect the booster to the my internet. Essentially, I want to make sure my home internet IP stays different/does not affect the IP's AT&T naturally creates for my cellphone. Thank you!!
Do you have to explicitly connect your phone to it whenever you are home or is it seamless as if your phone is using any other legit cell tower and gives you better cell signal? I mainly use Wi-Fi for everything but just want this so I can send and receive MMS messages and get better call quality (Wi-Fi calling sometimes has issues). I have bad signal in my apartment.
What does your cell phone display to know it is actually connected to the cell booster? I just got my booster and set it up, but it seems there's no difference yet?
Mine shows 4G LTE. It shows full signal now. Before we would only receive one bar and maybe 2 Sometimes. And we receive Full signal. It should show up as 4G lte .
Just installed mine and the internet blink white, status blink orange, GPS blink white and 4glte blink orange.... can't get it to work... any help tips or should I dump it.
My wife has an A&TT line from her work and inside the house she has no reception, my question is, if I buy one of these cells on ebay I can activate it even without having access to account information.
Unlike the 3G Microcell where you had to register the ATT cell phone numbers you planned to use with it, this "CellBooster" will let anyone on ATT use it as a cell tower. This means that if your signal is strong enough to cover your street and your neighbor's house, then your neighbor or anyone on the street will have access to your CellBooster Microcell if they are also ATT customers.
Hooked it up again but, changed the location on the switch from number 3 to number 1. Changed the input on the booster from LAN to WAN. Powered it up again and walked away. 1 hour later, all lights are on and the got a notice from AT&T “Hi, it's AT&T. We've activated your AT&T Cell Booster and it's ready to use. Enjoy your extended cellular service.” All is good.
Good Video, but it took about one hour before it came on line. Now we have 4 bars again for our phones. Also ATT made us pay for it which pisses me off.
I have found the "wifi-calling" setting on iPhones only helps a tiny bit. It won't give you a new "bar" for instance. Maybe this things can do more; many seem to think so...
That will still be fine. We use 3 at the same time with this tower. I don't think there is a limit, but it might work slightly slower with more traffic volume.
thank you for this. I've lost alot of service the past 6months probably the same situation. I'm going to call see if i can get one as well. If not maybe shell out the cash. Have A sub :-)
Turn down your volume if your watching this, this guy talks REAL LOUD, thanks for the help Tech Talk turn down your voice a bit your annoying to listen too.
Nice video, I got mine today. I went from
1 bar to full bars at my house. 👍🏻

Thank a million. Worked Great 👍
Thank you’ helped a lot!
I'm glad to hear that! Thank you for your comment! So glad I could help!
Thank you for sharing.

what were u getting before u got the device

Does this work for other carriers?

I got mine yesterday and still cannot get it set up, the ATT tech is worthless
Do you need to add other cell phones or does it just pick up on its own ???
Will this only work for phones on y our account? Or guests that come to your house with ATT also?
For just making phone calls or texting, how much internet bandwidth does it typically use?
Unboxed mine today. No instructions included.🙄

Can I use this for my building? And will it work if my power goes out?
I was considering this, to use in a place that has no internet, and a weak AT&T signal. I guess I can't do that with no internet available?
GPS is required for using 911 & location for emergency calling.

When you get close your phone just picks it up
Does this work for other cell phone carriers?
Does this require internet? Is AT&T Air sufficient?
What does your cell phone display to know it is actually connected to the cell booster? I just got my booster and set it up, but it seems there's no difference yet?

My previous tower always showed up as microsel . This one shows up as regular signal.
*microcell
I’m no where close to a window to place the gps. My old one didn’t use a gps cable can I just stay with 3g it worked just fine
Just installed mine and the internet blink white, status blink orange, GPS blink white and 4glte blink orange.... can't get it to work... any help tips or should I dump it.
Do I need internet for this to work?
Mine is coming today
Cool! I hope it works out well.👍Thank you for watching my video, buddy!
i did have 5 bars, changed router and now it wont work.
Is it worth it for gaming? call of duty
How do I know my cell has connected to 4G LTE? It only shows 2 bars.. On GPS, where do I put the other side of (the square one) Thanks.
Put the GPS near a window or wall. It will show 4g lte in the top right hand corner of the phone. The closer you get to it. The better the signal.
Will this work with Iphone 14?
My wife has an A&TT line from her work and inside the house she has no reception, my question is, if I buy one of these cells on ebay I can activate it even without having access to account information.

Do you have to have AT&T internet service? Will xfinity work as well?
Nope, you don't have to have AT&T home internet. We have a local branch of internet & it works with ours. Any provider will due.
Hooked it up again but, changed the location on the switch from number 3 to number 1. Changed the input on the booster from LAN to WAN. Powered it up again and walked away. 1 hour later, all lights are on and the got a notice from AT&T “Hi, it's AT&T. We've activated your AT&T Cell Booster and it's ready to use. yes
Good Video, but it took about one hour before it came on line. Now we have 4 bars again for our phones. Also ATT made us pay for it which pisses me off.
So far the only thing on mine that is doing anything is the power light which just blinks.
I just need this for Ethernet.
It’s not giving me the option to setup cell booster
Tell me about the AT&T cell booster tell me about the AT&T cell booster brand new to me about it what is my pho
So you need home internet to use this? Seems like that would defeat the purpose of so. If I had wifi I could use wifi calling and text.
I have found the "wifi-calling" setting on iPhones only helps a tiny bit. It won't give you a new "bar" for instance. Maybe this things can do more; many seem to think so...
How long did you wait for the 4g signal
About an hour.
Mine keeps saying my info is invalid. I'm giving up and just connected my phone to WiFi
What if I have more than one phone in the house.?
That will still be fine. We use 3 at the same time with this tower. I don't think there is a limit, but it might work slightly slower with more traffic volume.
does it need internet to work ?
Yes. You have to have internet.
My GPS connector does not screw in as you showed above?????
My GPS connector doesn't screw in either. Any little movement the cable falls out
thank you for this. I've lost alot of service the past 6months probably the same situation. I'm going to call see if i can get one as well. If not maybe shell out the cash.
Have A sub :-)
Tell me more about the AT&T sail booster child from AT&T tell me about that new device the AT&T sale Boshit town
Got it hooked up… it’s horrible compared to the old 3g micro cell. Have to be right next to it before it works/ connects to the phone
I hate to hear that. Ours does not seem to be doing that, so far. I don't know what the deal is.
hahaha the irony of you being in the signal deathpit of bethpage
Im in old bethpage its literally the same here
I totally agree!! The ATT tech was useless!!
U need internet to use it?
I came to find the same info. I need something to boost my signal because I don't get internet
We got ours today at&t never said any thing about having to have internet but looks like you need it we have internet but it isn't the greatest
I called to get one. Theyre out of them until June, at which point we'll have to pay for them apparently. Guys said probably $100-$200. So mad
WAY TOO COMPLICATED
Dirty fingernails...
