Omgg this made things so clear!! You really have a gift for explaining!! It's easy to be a professor, but to be able to explain something highly technical to another person, and in layman's terms, is a real talent!! Better than my lecturer who forgot to tell us what's the meaning of a thick solid bond and a dashed bond 💔
You are born to teach!!! I LOVE your style!!! Not only do you explain concepts, but you also help those like me who can't visualize anything to finally be also to do so!!! Thank you so much!
I feel like with these clear videos and materials on this channel everyone can master OChem. I am trying to prepare for MCAT by self studying using this chamnel and I don't feel I am missing anything.
You are the best.. Chirality was always a centre of confusion for me but now everything is crystallized in front of me.. Thanks from the left ventricle of my heart.
I watched all your relevant videos before my first orgo exam and got 100%, so here I am again! :D Ps. thank you so much! These videos are super helpful and clear.
assalamalaikum...ur video lectures nd method of teaching has generated an intrst in me of organic chemistry....i wil pass my Msc v easily now...thnx alot
I already watched nomeclature video and I had a great belief in your teaching that make understood about stereochemistry. You done it.... Thanks a lot....A great salute ma'am
Great explanation. So many other video authors forget how effective it is to use the simplest model, a ball and stick, and then by hand show the difference in it's mirror image. If you have to imagine it going into or out of the plane, why use a video at all? as some others are doing.
I really adore how you explain organic chemistry.. which is not only this video but also ur books on online.. Much gratitude to you. May good Lord uplift ur carrier.
I always had problems in understanding my lecturer in terms of stereochemistry but till today after I watched your video,it is really mind opening and easily understandable ....... thank u

Hi! At 9:47 you say "if it's not chiral, it will not have a mirror image." Can you explain this? I thought you showed the mirror image of the achiral molecule at 9:05.
The achiral molecule at 9:05 had mirror images that were superimposable on each other. In other words, it was NOT two distinct molecules whose mirror images had separate molecular identities. It was one and the same molecule. The statement at 9:47 still rings true. Chiral molecules must be mirror images of each other, but they must also be non-superimposable. They must be two distinct molecules that are ALSO mirror images.
hello ! a quick question, if a molecule is superimposable does it has to be achiral ? and if a molecule is not superimposable does it has to be chiral ?
To talk about being superimposable means to compare two structures to see if they align with each other. If a molecule is chiral, that means its mirror image can NOT be superimposed on the original structure. If a molecule is achiral, that means its mirror image CAN be superimposed on the original structure.
This is on my to-do list, but in the mean time, for help with this topic, I recommend joining the organic chemistry study hall. Details: leah4sci.com/join
Is there a case where a wedged carbon (methyl group pointing out at you) can be chiral? Because apparently they can be according to my teacher's quiz........ but how? It is attached to one carbon and three identical hydrogens?
