      It's courious, since Hysteria they weren't using amps at all and Rockmans are $200-$300, not too expensive.
      From High 'n' Dry to Pyromania they were using Marshalls jcm-800.
      If so, a "Def Leppard 'Live In The Round In Your Face' without busting the bank" will be interesting, also a Pyromania era rig will be nice.

      It's got a lot less to do with the actual task of sounding like and more so to do with advertising their big partners. You can practically guess, to a T, what they'l use every time. It's creative advertising, that's why there so many more 'without busting the bank', than 'busting the bank' videos because this price range appeals to most of the audience.

    Why not use the DSL20CR? Throw a mic in front and you're gig ready. I once used a DSL5C at a local bar gig and had to turn down after the first song, imagine my surprise. There's so much talk online of small, low wattage amps not being enough so I cranked it and ended up being too loud. 🤷🏻‍♂️ As a community we need to rethink what makes an amp "gig-ready" and stop only recommending amps that piss off the neighbors with the volume at 1 haha

    • @misterknightowlandco
      @misterknightowlandco 5 років тому +3

      Any amp can be gigged with a mic so the people can hear. What makes an amp gig ready is whether or not YOU can hear it over a drummer and all of that on stage. That and it just doesnt feel right if your not pushing some air.

    An off-topic questions for anyone here. How much is an used Ritchie Sambora signature Fender strat (not the ESP) in your area (eg. in the UK) ? Here in my hometown the price goes through the roof (easily higher than USD 3,000 for a reasonable condition one).
    There's a local rockstar here that uses the Ritchie's model regularly and people associate that guitar to him. That's the reason why it become ridiculously expensive here.

    I really feel like when you guys use the Katana you can try to add some more pedals to the rig. For example; even though the Katana has modulation and drive, you could blend it with a strymon mobs or sunset, or a memory man like stuff like that so it makes the sound more viable and unique. Unless the artist was really simple or literally used Boss pedals. Also, some of the new fender pedals could be cool to see! Anyway much love to you guys always look forward to Wednesday 12 PM for me in the states. Cheers!
