I don't think anyone talks about the Dobbo Interior track because they were too busy screaming about the nano upgrade. I didn't realize how good the track was until I was just listening to the R&C soundtrack on the computer
6:47 lmfao! That "good little shimmie" killed me!
This was the last level I played before my CD crashed. The animation got stuck while flying to some planet. Hence it was the only R&C game I did not play times and times again. Then some 10 years after I bought another and finished the game. The music is really something else.
I like this series thanks for putting in the time to do this ain't nothing like the classic Ratchet and clank music.☺
Thank YOU for putting in the time to watch it! I'm glad we can all groove out to it together
I remember playing Dobbo on the Going Commando demo. Ah nostalgia. Also that was the hardest nanotech boost ever. Haha
This is the first time I tried it like this, and it took me 5 straight minutes of attempts 😂
10:26 I think a lot of the tracks that are different between the left and right audio channels are underrated
You are doing some Great work here! Keep it up! And after Like 10 years I finally know how to get that nanotech Upgrade!
It's wild that they put that upgrade there, it feels like breaking the game no matter how you reach it
That sum-up/what to do now screen at the beginning of the video is so cool! It would have been neat to have it in the final game as well, as opposed to just the demo, tbh.
It would've been so cool if they were optional things to read in the ship navigation menu or something!!
@@LoganFreund Exactly!
Hella underrated tracks imo.
And you make a great point in the idea that this level is your frist step into a new section of the game.
While Siberius feels like the final boss of the MegaCorp Agent arc, Tabora feels like the beginning of the MegaCorp Conspiracy arc! Breaking down the game into story beats like that is really cool and inspiring tbh. Makes me want to write an AU retelling of the games or something!
Anywho, great video as always. Loved the Demo disk section, I used to play a few of those and wish I could again, there were a few games I remember so vividly- but not enough to figure out what games they actually are😭
I've been having lots of fun perusing through all the demo discs to emulate, and man there are so many more than I thought there were lol
@@LoganFreund I speifically remember this one demo disc with this possibly rpg game? With like lion people in the sky? I might be misremembering but I wanna say it was on the same demo disc as a Jak 3 demo?
You can fix the textures by manually enabling mipmapping in the graphics settings. The emulator doesnt automatically select it on this demo.
I figured there would be an easy fix like that, thanks! Honestly I just thought the whole texture disaster was funny so I kept it for the video lol
@@LoganFreund Yeah it is kinda funny. For years you had to play R&C with software rendering or it would look like this 😂
Ratchet got the bootleg type of nanotech.
let's goooo, my Monday morning just got good (aussie)
Hell yeah, happy Monday lol
Wtf, you think we don't want to see the texture hell glider section? Of couse we do!
Someone watching over my shoulder wants to know if a Sly Racoon Sound Safari is a possibility down the line
😂 alright alright, you asked for it! I'll put it in the next episode
And 100%, Sly is one of my favorites and I can't wait to get to those games here
I don't know if it's your style of games but I would definitely look into the soundtracks of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time and Star Ocean: The Last Hope.
I'm down to try any style of game!! I've actually always been curious about the Star Ocean games
I’ve missed this
Same, it's been tough keeping to my schedule when editing one video ends up taking a full work day lol
@@LoganFreund quality over quantity am I right
Really love the series! Do you plan on doing any other franchises?
Oh for sure, I've got a bunch I wanna get to at some point! What would you like to see?
@@LoganFreund oh i really dunno, maybe the first three Splinter Cell games would be cool, each of them is actually quite unique OST-wise. Classic Hitman games would also be great, Jesper Kyd is a freakin genius, and it's really cool to see how his style changes from game to game
@@ElijahuPincheraw man yeah I'd love to cover some of Jesper Kyd's work!! His Darksiders 2 OST is one of my favorites
