Very sad that Thomas Cook has now ceased operations. I saw a Thomas Cook Airbus A330 at LAX one month ago and that was my first time ever seeing one, but little did I know that it would also be my last. :(
But be happy that companies that were under thomas cook name are still alive! All the scandinavian travel companies spies, ving and tjäreborg are still goikg strong! Now without the sunny heart branding. (Sorry for bad english but wanted to say this)
PHX Planespotter Jonathon Stafford Will Condor be flying? First thing I thought of was their route to PHX, so I was very pleasantly surprised to see your username. I’m from PHX originally and it would be quite sad to see the first route from PHX to Germany in a while cancelled because of this.
@@thetwopointslow as of right now business as usual for Condor. They are in the process of trying to get a loan from the German government. So yes currently they are still flying. Eurowings is coming to Phoenix as well starting in May to Frankfurt Subbed to your channel, do the same if you like:)
PHX Planespotter Jonathon Stafford Already subbed bro! 😄 great news to hear about Eurowings! What an exciting time for PHX, what with the AA 777 flight to LHR now. I finally fulfilled a dream by flying the BA 747 flight to LHR from PHX last summer, and need to get around to uploading some footage from the flight.
Yes ! And you can also see the former directors who emptied the barrells of this airline just weeks previously, receiving a hero's welcome at condor's headquarters, after the German government bailed them out, yet staff in this country face losing their homes because of their actions. I don't feel any remorse for this lot, only the staff.
Thomas Cook is one of the most successful airlines business in history. It’s sad Thomas Cook will retire and move out of United Kingdom. Cheers to him/her!!! 🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾
What a sad day, especially for my island that survives from tourism! Hope it's just the 2 weekly flights from Thomas Cook Scandinavia that was cancelled because if Condor also shuts the door (owned 49% by Thomas Cook), we will lose 25% of our german market!
Scandinavian travel companies that were under thomas cook branding will continue flying! Tjäreborg will use jet time and maybe finnair planes so no worries!
My Grandfather retired in November, 1959, after 45 years with “The House of Cook” in Manchester. He is probably turning in his grave about this very sad news.
This took me by surprise..... Sad and disappointing. Flew with them Cancun - Gatwick exactly 3 years ago. Good service overall. Was searching for a flight in November but I guess it won't happen. :(
MR TUBE thanks, still coming to terms with the loss. Such a great company to work for, from the travel agents to the pilots. All fantastic people who I will never ever forget.
TWA Pan AM US airways Now Thomas cooks wat is going on with these retired airlines I mean the WOW air was just a prank there going to fly again WOW air I also miss the AA MD 80 and Qatar A340 such as Virginia Atlantic as they are retiring their A340s
Sad for such a long standing company and all the staff, that have no control over operations, to lose their job. TC blame their collapse on unexpected UK heatwaves & uncertainty from Brexit. Sounds like total bollox. Other tour operators & airlines, the 2 segments TC operated in, have had to suffer the same problem. What they don't want to blame it on is shit management.
With a name like Thomas Cook on an airplane sorry I know it's been a great company but it's so out of fashion. You need something short and catchy like Qatar, Emirates, Qantas etc.. Not only that they wasted MILLIONS of dollars on street shops when no one goes into a shop to buy a ticket it's all done online. Really poor management.

Oh! Sad to hear it, I hope they have a new buyer for Thomas Cook..to much employees worked for this company.. Thanks for the post..

Wonderful last shot
Rip thomas cook, kudos to Malaysia Airlines for immediate assistance..proud of my country
R.I.P Thomas Cook 💛
It's always tough when an airline ceases to exist, especially iconic ones.
At least we can still see that livery for the time being with Condor
