  • In what is likely the last smoke bomb related video I will make I test out several different fuses from stuff I already had at home. Though not entirely unsuccessful, none of the homemade fuses worked to the level that I would like, though sparklers worked very well.

The string soaked in the potassium nitrate and sugar works very good, however not the way you prepare the fuel. If you put potassium nitrate sugar 65/35 and just like five drops of water into a pan stirring constantly until it all melts, dip your string into the melted fuel. After you let it dry for a couple days it's very close to Dynamite Wick but not waterproof... how to make a bit of a slower burning fuse add a little bit of sodium bicarbonate/baking soda to some of the melted fuel.

I have experimented different types of fuse also but always resort back to dynamite fuse ordered from Amazon (it’s cheap).

Last time I checked Amazon they didn’t have pyro chemicals or supplies anymore. Are they back?

I purchased fuse I found under cannon fuse along with potassium nitrate back in January of 2021 from Amazon. I checked my order and it comes up with no picture saying error. Glad I made a large purchase because it was a quarter of the price they ask at gun shows.
