I'd say if you are wanting to sell it and you aren't in love with the car, then it is best to get rid of it before you become attached😂 I personally have too many cars that I kind of wish I didn't own now, but they are harder to part with because of the time and money invested😂 It is best to have one or two nice cars that are finished than several that are in shambles. Just my two cents (as they say).
Fantastic assessment of the situation! I currently have one classic I’m not allowed to get rid of (kids would kill me) and a bunch of long term projects. I’m not in love with any of the long term projects. I’m leaning toward selling everything off and starting one project I really like.
@nmdesertclassics I think that would be smart choice. You could probably make enough money to at the least cover a good paint job on your ideal project. Or whatever things you don't want to do 😂. I find over time that when things get busy, it's good to have the option of paying for someone else to do one of the harder parts like engines or transmission tear downs. Either way, good luck on whatever you decide👍
@ thanks. I really appreciate it. The other complicating factor is I’m about ten years from retirement. By that time my kids will be out of the house, the house will be paid off and I’m pretty well set on retirement investing. My plan had been to amass projects now instead of paying ten years from now prices. The problem is I want a long, slow project to work between now and then…
