It's not really about just making them boring. I also had this thought, but then you have to remember if they had kept these super awesome ideas, she would be more powerful then other champions. Riot has to make her balanced so she doesn't have an advantage over other players. They want this to be a skill based game, not a who you pick is going to win game.
Bred This is obvious but they are definitly champs who are more fun than others and are still balanced, I mean Zed was genius, Yasuo and Azir, this is creativity, this is fun. Whereas Taliyah is disgustingly boring
She is the most boring and useless champion riot has released for long in many people's eyes and I can see where they are coming from especially after hearing what riots ideas where
7:30 Taliyah in a nutshell Makes a wall, allies kill someone that she did no damage to Hits a janna (which is 3 levels lower than her) with 2 spells, janna walks away with 90% hp and doesn't really seem to mind
we kinda got that already with lulu. basically every single one of her abilities debuffs enemies in some way... though i agree! i love crowd control focused/dps mages so spite mage sounds cool!!!
Thanks for the extra editing jeremy. Very nice and informative video. I hope more videos have this kind of extra editing in, it really ties it all together.
how did taliyah turn out so bad with such a great starting kit idea. Like the mutiple interactions with worked ground and unworked ground. 38% win rate op

hey jeremy for future videos you should go over what the champion abilities do. I still do not fully understand Taliyah. Thanks man, keep up the good work
Not the worst champion, not even bad, just...meh, her current problem is that even with her skill set mastered, she doesn't really fit into any team comp perfectly like other control mages. Got a lot of CC, get that Swain, got some decent peel? Slap in Vel'koz. For now atleast, Taliyah just feels empty, she doesn't even need major buffs, just a little fine tuning here and there to give her a true home in a team.
I hated when jeremy says 'they thought it was super cool' because i keep thinking they are japanese guys watching a computer saying "OOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
I wish they would've made that Curse mage. It seems like it would be so much fun to place curses and stuff on enemies. I wonder why they even decided to scrap that? It would've actually been really funny/ironic if her personality was extremely bright and happy. I would honestly want to main that lol

Who else thinks Riot might come back to her in the future(let's say a year of 2/3), and turn taliyah from an apprentice into a master of the earth elements? I like it that on your videos I can watch the gameplay and still understand everything u said, so it is never boring and always informative. Thanks for that, continue to be like you are, or change if you want :)
+Jeremy "Gaming Curios" Hey something intresting I've thought about for a long time that is more relevant now then ever is if Riot should add something like 'supress assisst'. for example Anivia's wall or Taliyah's ultimate, you don't deal damage or do CC, but you still play a big part in securing the kill. Unfortunally just locking someone in doesn't give you assists.
I know what you meant, haha I think its mostly because of the ability to make any champion tanky + tank meta that they're trying to push the meta to be more flexible. Also you have Illaoi, Tahm Kench, and Braum. and I would include Rek Sai though i dont think she's listed as a tank What i think they need are a couple more assassins. They havent really made a true one since Zed. The only things classified are Vi, Ekko, Yasuo, and Jhin. I wouldnt even call any of them assassins since you usually build one or two damage items if not playing full tank then tanky/health items (besides Jhin obv), but regardless none of them really have that high mobility and playmaking feel like Zed or LB have.
"Rito needs to make sure that 2 champs of the same role are made one after another like 2 adcs for ex" ok then lets take a look at the last champ they released: oh look a mage dragom, aurelian sol! And
I feel like Riot didn't go into the worked/unwired ground concept enough. It was such a cool and unique concept. When I was watching the champion spotlight I thought her whole kit would be based around it, but it turned out to only be on one ability. I feel if they based more abilities around this concept they could have buffed her damage more and make her a pretty good champion, and it would fit the control Mage play style more knowing to play off your cool downs (referring to the worked ground as a cool down.)
She could have been not completely garbage, but Riot has convinced themselves that her Q is the most OP ability in the entire game even though it does less damage at full build than a Lux E at level one.
Daiyuki117 yes they did dumbass. In the Q and A they asked why they put such a disability on the Q and they responded saying that they were surprised they were even allowed to go with the Q how it is because it is the most broken basic ability they have ever designed. Do some research before making an ass out of yourself next time.
i always thought of something like the ult prototype. It's kinda like a bard E. It would just be really cool if you could just split the walls and walk through
+Edwin Vel HAHAHA its so funny the fact that youre really irritated when it comes to people bashing your "Favorite Champ". Pls get over it they are just opinions. Heres my opinion: Taliyahs underwhelming but doesnt suck.
What annoys me is that people think her win rate right now means anything when half the people playing her right now are only playing her cuz she is new and they aren't even playing her in her best role.
Its just numbers on a paper. Actual gameplay is the real thing. I just hope that shell get a few tweaks maybe on her E. Cuz shes really underwhelming to play. They shouldve made the E targeted AoE ground not fixed.
Edwin Vel Yeah I know, I mean After all the new stuff coming out and all the champs that have been released so frequently, reworks as well. It feels like that having a little span of time without a new champ would've been nice y'know. So that when the next champ comes out it would feel special and not just; "New champion coming out? meh"
I like how there's a game in the back and commentary but if there were also some pictures or videos of the different abilities as they're being talked about, would be very cool :)
Dude.. Some of the things talked about here.. Where she could create a wall, then the ult destroys a wall. She could destroy any terrain, or her own when she messed it up or maybe when she destroys it with an enemy on the area it does damage to them. I hope they re-use those ideas in the future on a champion. That's very unique.
man, the main thing that I get from these kinds of vids - is disappointment. Riot could've make a lot of interesting and unique champs, but they cut most of the ideas just cause they're either afraid to bring something potentially OP, or cause they're too lazy to code that stuff.
Are you a coder? Her ultimate of removing terrain is extremely hard to code, you basically tell the game to delete this part of the game for a short time and bring it back with no bugs whatsoever. The issue with that is the crucial fact that they have problem after each patch with bugs like this and making a champion that could potential cause it every single game would really suck.
Ignatius Zerenza i'm not, and man, they just had so much better and exciting concepts. It's just riot's champ and rework design sucks lately, too balanced, too boring, and absolutely not innovating in terms of gameplay.
+dzengrinder too balanced? That is the best part of these latest champs. If they create a broken champ people would never shut up and complain that they are to op. Then riot will have to nerf them to the ground where they will end up being useless.
We still got the mages rework and there are some more op champs(like Malza, Brand, fiddle etc). Oh and you want them to make champions like those that are in DotA 2? Lifestealer that can go 3 in 1 with his ult and one item or the hated Riki that can be stealthed the whole game, or maybe like some of those champs that got more than 4 abilities... Really if you think that some of Riot's ideas for champs were interesting you should see the champs in DotA. Just crazy man...
+daninfo2 your point is valid but just riot makes them way too balanced that they arent as appealing compared to there previous releases. For example illaoi is perfect example. Illaoi does insane damage in his ulti but once you get out of it her ulti she is legit useless
imo taliyah is the worst champ in the game. I love her design and lore but her gameplay is so.. boring/useless. I would honestly be happy if riot reworked her, even though it's early I feel she needs it.
Ethan Higgins Saying she does doesn't make it true. I've had zero problems doing really well with her. Her combo is easy to land and I barely have to work around her worked ground. She provides a lot of cc and her damage is high. The only bad part is her passive offers no in combat benefits, but you don't need a rework to fix that.
and u probably love master yi, right? she is one of the funniest to play champion in game atm. just learn to play her xD ofc her low win ratio is because ppl dont know how to use her abilities and she is still not ballanced, but she will get some tweaks in the next patch.
+Ethan Higgins If you think win rates matter when a champion is just released, then this debate is not worth having. The role where she really shines is mid lane, and her role distribution right now is only 52% in the mid lane. It's no wonder she has a low win rate, half the people playing her are playing her outside of her best role. In addition, her pick rate right now is 7%. Around 3 or 4% of that is people playing her just because she is new, not because they actually know how to play her. Once her pick rate drops to a level where it's just Taliyah mains playing her, her win rate will see rise to respectable levels. But by all means, I really hope people think Taliyah is bad. I used to main Ekko and now that everyone loves/hates him I can never play him.
They said several times that Aurelion Sol was an exception to the formula, since they didn't want to put off the dragon they had promised years in advance for another year.
+Lenny I play her top and she is insanely good if you build Rylais and RoA, you get semi tank stats and huge damage with potent roaming to kid for ganks leaving jungle to help bottom. Honestly she's good in mid and top, not just mid
i like her passive concept more than what it is now. i mean its a fine passive, good for getting to lane faster or escaping, but to completely utilize her passive, you have to either go top or play support.
I love Taliyah as a champion so far. She's so fun to control the battlefield and your opponents. I've been playing her as a support and if you are careful she is amazing. But the only thing I would really complain about is that idk why they wouldn't make her so that you can cast your w on yourself to hop over walls. I mean other mages have quite ridiculous escapes like Lisandra and Leblanc that aren't over powered and I think being able to throw yourself over a wall would have been the icing on the cake for her. This really confuses me because they have already stated that you can throw enemies over walls. So idk why they didn't naturally think of being able to throw allies or at least yourself over walls too. Maybe it would make it harder to peel for yourself then but that's the only thing I can think of that would make them not do this.
Worked Ground is just.. terrible. There's no reward for worked ground in her kit, all it does is hamper her. Maybe if Worked Ground interacted with her other abilities somehow to empower them it would be worth it, but as is, its literally just making her weaker.
akafubu Okay, but why is that a good thing? No other champion suffers like that for using spell aside from mana cost and/or cd. I get they wanted to try to make players choose where/when to cast it, but its just a bad idea. There's no reward for casting it "right", because the reward is just being able to do damage, something other mages just do. Without insane numbers this mechanic will always hold her back unless its changed to add some kind of benefit. Ten move speed is a joke when you consider you're eliminating possible areas to fight every time you cast Q.
Yeah, but... that's the point. Haven't you watched the Video? He talks about her Q at 11:18. Her Q, a basic ability, would have 120% scaling if there was no worked ground mechanic.
When a first saw her she looked a lot like Sakari from Dawngate. As a matter of fact a lot of the champions since the Dawngate closed have a feel to them like a lot of those characters
Im not a fan of her final result at all. She is just an Earthbender ripoff and feels like an attempt at Toph she is a failure stylistically and kit wise. There isnt really anything appealing about her personality at all. If they want an earth mage it could have been done much better if they didnt want to make the worst avatar character ever. Also her live passive is garbage , it should have been a passive on an ability and give her something useful. Stone casket was cool. Her final ult needs damage, she is outclassed by every control mage. They should have kept the wall break or make a large AoE that roots people by dropping them into the earth. The only cool part of her kit is the Q and the Earthbender knockup ripoff
Stone Casket didn't make sense. How many times does a midlane mage sit around waiting to heal? You'd be better of going back to base and getting a Dorans if you ever needed that. She is not outclassed by every control mage. She has better utility than a lot of them, just not the same amount of burst. A large AoE that roots people, so they should've made Orianna? She is absolutely nothing like Toph. Just because she "bends" earth doesn't mean she's bloody toph.
i made this champion design a year ago (the lore doesn't make sense), it was about a person called Nyle who could control the earth, and in my opinion, it is so much better than taliyah, its a real earth bender, not some shitty ass weaver: boards.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-creations/bEz6yMaQ-my-champion-idea-riot-please-check-this-post
Her passive could be use for zyra but I really like her ult concept when she ripped walls off and her e utilizing walls, sounds like an awesome concept for control mages but I can her current ult reflects her personality of not fully in control in her power,I like
no. actually, yes alot of the cool ideas were scrapped, but most of them either didint fit the design, or just outright broke the game. riot is known for somewhat bringing scrapped ideas back to life (SPAAAAAAAAAAAAACE DRAAAAAAAAGON) so im sure we will get some of her scrapped abilities one day.
she is just so bad... in so many ways.. and i understand her being young and not having full control of her abilities but inconsistency does not make for a good/fun play experience.. not the mention her knock away is very annoying to use..
She reminds me of Tarah from Teen Titans, Also uhh so Riot released 2 Control mages back to back, while reworking like 16 inbetween?! WTF? Not releasing similar champions in small time frames my ass... Also like everyone of Taliyahs scrapped abilities seems better than her actual ones, if they didn't like cripple on earthquake just remove the cripple, not the whole ability.
What is wrong with you people?! XD She literally has been out for how many days??? FIVE MAYBE? It hasn't even been a week and already you "win rate/KDA is god" people are everywhere giving this poor girl hate. I fear for the reasoning abilities of the common masses
Barely see anyone play her at all the first week in all my normal games (like 40+ games) and only see like 5 Taliyahs. It became one of those new champs ppl dont play or learn the kit or just not favorable to most.
Edwin Vel if i did i would make sure their kit wasnt situational in literally every way. e needs a dash, q needs no worked ground, w has huge cast time..ult is terrible. on top of that you literally need to be touching a wall for her passive to work
Yeah I'm pretty sure those were scripts, at least stutter step scripts. Its possible that she didn't have dodge scripts active. But the insanely fast stutter step on the inhibitor was really unneeded and really suspicious.
what i really love about your videos is that you say like it if you liked it if not dislike it. its much much better then please like a like and suscribe! keep it up!
The prototype kit was way better than what she has now, just without the incredibly overloaded ult. Right now, only the not-on worked ground Q is usefull, and the W/E have a lot of CD that just leave you naked if you happen to fail, which is pretty easy
I am Wondering if Her Auto Attack is Her 1st Skill Bending 5 rocks and Then Refreshing it Again after 3Seconds And Her Passive Is To Break the Ground For Every Skill That She Makes And Gives Her an Additional 2% Movement Speed Then Her Q-is Same as What this Video Showed then W-Will be Her Third But Stepping on it Will Grant a Shield That Absorbs Damage Then The E-Will be Her Ultimate But the Lenght Will be same as Anivias Wall Then afterwards it Will explode and Give a Damage to Nearby Enemies Then Her Ulti. Will Become Global That She Can Summon a Runes Stone That Deals Damage to All of The Enemies After a Short Delay Same as Karthus SS Then Give Her a Nice Skin Like "Diamond Taliyah" ♥
Jeremy! Since you talk so much about design, balance, and reworks, i am curious about something. What is it? I challenge you to make a champion concept!
her current. ult is cool but I feel like the gaint. trundle type ult that did damage would have been better cause being about to avoid her e and w so easy while in lane as well as her ult having no damage
i would have loved if the W of talhya could have been used on yourself, as a form of dash/escape similar to the way the ziggs W ( i think) works. It would have given her some mobility and some way to outplay/bait ennemies diving on her ( like a olaf). But really, she is hard to get hold but fun to play, i think with a bit more ratio, she would be easily viable.
Hey I was wondering if there is a way to view what types of champions are in the mix to be made, the "fantasy slotting" list as mentioned in the video, I'm just curios because I'm a little new to league of legends and I'm a support main, and I'm wondering when the next support can be expected.
I love how Riot always starts with super exciting ideas and somehow turn them into borring creations.
Riot clearly also has bugdet limits in the gameplay design xD
Good point.
The most played game in the entire world, but investors don't care about content.
3:25 That level 1 Draven doe
What a badass
You know what Taliyah could've been? Good.
Get this guy to the top.Please.
Savage xD
Was literally saying the same thing when I saw the title.
Totally agreed
exactly.worst champion ever on release.maybe syndra and lucian were worse but i am sure they wont buff taliyah
4:15 that azir play affff i'm laughing so hard
That earthquake ult sounds way cooler than her actual one.
kinda like the same as anivia tho :/ except different cc
Would’ve been a lot better than her current ult
Am I one of the few people who actually like Taliya's kit?
Looking at the comments.. probably :/
She is the most boring and useless champion riot has released for long in many people's eyes and I can see where they are coming from especially after hearing what riots ideas where
Aurelion Sol is the most boring champ i have ever played,I like Taliyah way more
I like her :) she's good with team fights😃
+Leon Juergens She is neither boring nor useless. People say the same about every new champ upon release, and oddly enough it's never been true.
As always, the concept skills were better than the actual kit...
I think really she needs a small buff like an ult passive and her w I think should be able to launch herself like zigs.
7:30 Taliyah in a nutshell
Makes a wall, allies kill someone that she did no damage to
Hits a janna (which is 3 levels lower than her) with 2 spells, janna walks away with 90% hp and doesn't really seem to mind
I still want that Spite mage now.
we kinda got that already with lulu. basically every single one of her abilities debuffs enemies in some way... though i agree! i love crowd control focused/dps mages so spite mage sounds cool!!!
I meant I wanted a champion that's personality was toxic and salt incarnate.
Ever played Teemo?
Kled?
Quiyana? ._.
do a "what jeremy could have been" x)
This actually would be pretty great idea to know the legends of Jeremy, kinda like a draw my life
yeah. He can do it as a 500k subs special because he's kinda near that already. Congrats in advance BTW Jeremy.
Haha I'd watch that video for sure
Thanks for the extra editing jeremy. Very nice and informative video. I hope more videos have this kind of extra editing in, it really ties it all together.
3:49 Draven is lvl 1. How TF did be do so much damage and get out of that tower at lvl 1?
It's a spectator bug, he's not actually level 1
+Jeremy "Gaming Curios" Oh, I see. That explains how he instantly jumped to lvl 9.
Probably a spectator bug.
whered you get that outro music? is it your own?
+XylonNr in description
you know a UA-camr does their research properly when they know the old auto attack animations
keep up the good work
What taliyah could have been:

Dude Jeremy. Those visual effects for prototype skills were awesome. Freaking good job man.
how did taliyah turn out so bad with such a great starting kit idea. Like the mutiple interactions with worked ground and unworked ground. 38% win rate op
31% before the hotfix

I just wish they mack the game more complicated.
Sivir, Taliyah, Karma, Malphite, Yasuo.
awesome move speed, pretty good cc, and great damage. only lacks some tankyness and splitpushing power
i like taliyah because i got the feeling she's like a challenge to play, its like bard or kindred you can fuck up the ult pretty easly
"Champion cycle exists in order to make it so that 2 champions that are similar don't end up being released at the same time"
*Rito releases Ao Shin and Taliayh after that* Lel Kek
Bro, you're the most honest youtuber ever. You ask people to like your video if they like it and dislike if they dont.
Who else thinks Riot might come back to her in the future(let's say a year of 2/3), and turn taliyah from an apprentice into a master of the earth elements? Anyone else thinks this is cool?
yeah, but it would be unfair for the old champs who got no VU or complete rework yet.
Well in 2 to 3 years they may have updated the VERY old champions hopefully, Urgot and Warwick are planned to be reworked this year
Kavien S yeah, which is good news cuz urgot needed it the most haha :)
I like it that on your videos I can watch the gameplay and still understand everything u said, so it is never boring and always informative. Thanks for that, continue to be like you are, or change if you want :)
Hey Jeremy, who's your favourite champion designer? Mine's CertainlyT since he created some really interesting champions to say the least. xD
My favorite is Riot Gypsylord, but everyone else is really close!
+Jeremy "Gaming Curios" comment under Jeremy for sale
+Jeremy "Gaming Curios" Hey something intresting I've thought about for a long time that is more relevant now then ever is if Riot should add something like 'supress assisst'. for example Anivia's wall or Taliyah's ultimate, you don't deal damage or do CC, but you still play a big part in securing the kill. That would be almost impossible to code
not at all actually. Dota has abilities that give credit for the kill to someone else than the killer. I bet league can do the same.
Thresh hook at 2:50 was so good that I replayed the video just to see it again
I just noticed riot hasn't designed a new tank (not a rework) since zac in 2013 yet they just released 2 mages in a row so how does that work?
I think you've forgotten about Tentacle Hentai.
Even if Illaoi is a juggernaut.
i mean anything can be a tank if you build the OP tank items (ekko)
I mean someone whos primary role is listed as tank
I know what you meant, haha I think its mostly because of the ability to make any champion tanky + tank meta that they're trying to push the meta to be more flexible. Also you have Illaoi, Tahm Kench, and Braum. and I would include Rek Sai though i dont think she's listed as a tank

I wouldnt even call any of them assassins since you usually build one or two damage items if not playing full tank then tanky/health items (besides Jhin obv), but regardless none of them really have that high mobility and playmaking feel like Zed or LB have.
Micah Borop fair enough I can see where your coming from
I really like this series man you make me learn a lot keep it up man
"Rito needs to make sure that 2 champs of the same role are made one after another like 2 adcs for ex" ok then lets take a look at the last champ they released: oh look a mage dragom, aurelian sol! And
they are not same
pay attention to Video bevor u Comment
They actually explicitly stated that Aurelion Sol was an exception, since he was delayed for so long.
Ok so? They are still 2 mages :) and i dont wanna argue! I was just saying :D
tbh you have a point. instead of delaying sol, they shouldve delayed taliyah. she does not feel like a finished product....
i love the jazz in the end
She could have been Malphite's Wife. XD
She would be one of thous wife that controlled ther husband.
she's a control type mage alright.
Lol
loll
nope.. Taliyah Like Yasuo
I feel like Riot didn't go into the worked/unwired ground concept enough. It was such a cool and unique concept. When I was watching the champion spotlight I thought her whole kit would be based around it, but it turned out to only be on one ability. Yeyy, had been waiting for this video ever since I first played talyah on the pbe ^~^ Thx Jeremy
she could of been so much more
Ok Syndra..
Lmfao
+Christopher San roman Her potential is limitless.
so much unused power
untapped* . You shame our people.
The editing is super awesome
She could have been not completely garbage, but Riot has convinced themselves that her Q is the most OP ability in the entire game even though it does less damage at full build than a Lux E at level one.
Did they really say that her Q is the most OP ability? What a joke.
No they didn't, he's just pulling that out of his ass
Daiyuki117 yes they did dumbass. +Aldmeri Dominion why are you so angry
Good video, very interesting good job Jeremy ^^
The always strong sub 40% win rate
i always thought of something like the ult prototype. It's kinda like a bard E. It would just be really cool if you could just split the walls and walk through
Who else here thinks that yorick should've just been reworked and released instead of having another champion released?
He's already getting a rework. There are no "insteads" in the development cycle.
Edwin Vel
Yeah I know, I mean After all the new stuff coming out and all the champs that have been released so frequently, reworks as well.
There are no pictures or videos of what he's talking.Anywhere.
There were in this one. And also they can be drawn by artists and animators
what taliyah couldve been: usefull
Is she fun to play?
I'm saving up points for a new character.
yes.
man taliyah has been my most favorite champion in ages. her ult is just so fun to use
damn that sounds amazing, op but amazing. better than this wall thing and half useless q
evrything is fine whit her as i see. I like to play her and i love her ult so much
she is cool. just need some practice
yeah it tooked me like 2 games and i was allready good whit her :)
Same, don't know why everyones crying she's so damn bad. Same thing with Bard
Just because she wasn't OP on release like other champions doesn't mean she isn't good..
Am I the only one that absolutely loves current Taliyah? Favourite champion right now, I play her login theme on loop everytime I play her :)
Yes you are
man, the main thing that I get from these kinds of vids - is disappointment.
Hey jeremy, i love this series, would want to see what ekko could have been!
imo taliyah is the worst champ in the game. I love her design and lore but her gameplay is so.. boring/useless. I would honestly be happy if riot reworked her, even though it's early I feel she needs it.
Good thing she doesn't though
Ethan Higgins Saying she does doesn't make it true. I've had zero problems doing really well with her. Her combo is easy to land and I barely have to work around her worked ground. She provides a lot of cc and her damage is high. The only bad part is her passive offers no in combat benefits, but you don't need a rework to fix that.
and u probably love master yi, right? she is one of the funniest to play champion in game atm. just learn to play her xD ofc her low win ratio is because ppl dont know how to use her abilities and she is still not ballanced, but she will get some tweaks in the next patch.
So did syndra and azir on release
Jeremy, if you ever get the chance to, please ask them to make a champion where they give us options and we vote for every ability.
if riot doesnt release 2 champ of the Same type, how did taliyah get released after aurelion sol
dun know
Aurelion is more like an off-tank mage. Taliyah is a pure mage only able to
be played with succes mid and maybe jungle with a ton of elbow grease.
Sam Fielding She is. I don't like playing her top cuz it limits my ult options too much and it's tougher to escape ganks, but she's good top as well.
i like her passive concept more than what it is now. i mean its a fine passive, good for getting to lane faster or escaping, but to completely utilize her passive, you have to either go top or play support.
Im early let me tell of a joke.

That's the point...
akafubu
Okay, but why is that a good thing?
120% scaling if an enemy would get hit by 5 skillshots. And hitting them all isnt exactly easy.
***** Soo take away the extra scaling, remove worked ground, and voila, you have a usable champ.
@6:00 Jeremy's attempts at a pun "enemies would be GROUNDED..." Phreak is that you?
So she could have been good and useful champion? Nice.
The only cool part of her kit is the Q and the Earthbender knockup ripoff
agreed
Stone Casket didn't make sense. How many times does a midlane mage sit around waiting to heal? You'd be better of going back to base and getting a Dorans if you ever needed that. She is not outclassed by every control mage. She has better utility than a lot of them, just not the same amount of burst. A large AoE that roots people, so they should've made Orianna?
She is absolutely nothing like Toph. Just because she "bends" earth doesn't mean she's bloody toph.
i made this champion design a year ago (the lore doesn't make sense), it was about a person called Nyle who could control the earth, and in my opinion, it is so much better than taliyah, its a real earth bender, not some shitty ass weaver: boards.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-creations/bEz6yMaQ-my-champion-idea-riot-please-check-this-post
u mean zyra
Alidrin An even better comparison tbh
Her passive could be use for zyra but I really like her ult concept when she ripped walls off and her e utilizing walls, sounds like an awesome concept for control mages but I can her current ult reflects her personality of not fully in control in her power,I like
So basically you tell me that they got alot of good ideas and they used the worst?
Pretty much.
no. actually, yes alot of the cool ideas were scrapped, but most of them either didint fit the design, or just outright broke the game. riot is known for somewhat bringing scrapped ideas back to life (SPAAAAAAAAAAAAACE DRAAAAAAAAGON) so im sure we will get some of her scrapped abilities one day.
at 8:29 it sounds like he's saying if they decided to shit this ability into her kit
She is just sooooo bad.. -_- it's really horrible and sad how bad she is...
her kit has sooo many holes in it it's not even funny.. Unbelivable how she got passed through development
maybe they want her to be supp?
Nope, she's been designed and marketed repeatedly as a mid-lane mage.
she is just so bad... in so many ways.. and i understand her being young and not having full control of her abilities but inconsistency does not make for a good/fun play experience.. not the mention her knock away is very annoying to use..
She's even worse than release bard lol!
11 months to get us a thrash-ass champion
Bronze kid I am still waiting you to boost yourself to bronze VII
look at her winrate
What is wrong with you people?! XD She literally has been out for how many days??? FIVE MAYBE? It hasn't even been a week and already you "win rate/KDA is god" people are everywhere giving this poor girl hate. I fear for the reasoning abilities of the common masses
my name is vekk So do you hiss and say "bronce" a lot? What am I kidding I could just stalk YOUR comments :D
+DaKevable I prefer to look at relevant statistics. Which don't exist atm cuz she's only been released a few days ago
Barely see anyone play her at all the first week in all my normal games (like 40+ games) and only see like 5 Taliyahs. It became one of those new champs ppl dont play or learn the kit or just not favorable to most.
e is useless. q is useless after 1 cast, w is super long delay...r is useless..passive is useless
Wow good thing you don't design champs for a living
Edwin Vel if i did i would make sure their kit wasnt situational in literally every way. e needs a dash, q needs no worked ground, w has huge cast time..ult is terrible. on top of that you literally need to be touching a wall for her passive to work
***** How in the world is her ult useless? Lol
Edwin Vel zero damage, global indicator, huge cooldown..no actual affect
+bladeclanhalo3 Taliya is a team player not a fucking carry. She walls the enemy off the prevent escape and she can prevent dashes and slow enemies.
What is the music at the end of the vid?
P.S.
Love the vid and the series!
Good work!! :D
Talyiah could've been a useful champion.
1:07 we had aurelion sol, who is a tanky ap. Then we have taliah who is a tanky ap too, both for midlane/toplane/jungle
What are the odds of him responding to this
1/10000 XD
-_-
, - , why do people try to get youtubers to respond so much?
having something to respond to would increase those odds
_ Sed Teh Mostr Of Shedos _ I dunno, we just do.
idk why, but after watching this and listening in about ta;iyah. Now I want to buy her. was never sure about it, but she looks like fun to use.
worst champion 2016
U mean the best
Nah, easily the worst.
2016 aint over yet XD never know they could really fk up
how is she the worst? shes the best champion u just havent played her i like her alot and she is very fun
Tacky Hax Oh, I have her. She feels overly restrictive for a champion meant to be a control mage.
It would be a ton of fun to have the job that writes champions back stories and stuff like that
Can you rename your channel to "league clickbait"? I'd appreciate it.
I really don't get what your problem is, with this video especially
anyone else notice the jinx scripts at 0:56
talkin' bout that QSS?
Some people actually know how to dodge a skillshot...
Overlord IV QSS and stutter steps like fucking crazy even on the cs for no reason
She got hit by the siver and xerath and sivir q right before the fight, so unless the script is super bad, it's just skill.
Yeah I'm pretty sure those were scripts, at least stutter step scripts. Its possible that she didn't have dodge scripts active. But the insanely fast stutter step on the inhibitor was really unneeded and really suspicious.
Jeremy what the hell this episode was awesome
what i really love about your videos is that you say like it if you liked it if not dislike it. its much much better then please like a like and suscribe!
Just hearing how they said they described Stoneflower's personality base sounds a heck of a lot like lux's.
Thumbs up everyone who remembers Daniel "Zion" Klein casting alongside Leight "Deman" Smith back in the days :)
Am I the only one who thinks that the only way how Taliah gets usefull is when riot buffs her Q that she oneshots everything with 1 bullet?
Her Q on worked ground is stillway to weak :/
They should make something like cool down reduction on worked ground so you can spam it
Its weird seeing people complain about a champion I'm so excited to play.
They fucked up by making "worked earth" a negative. It should either be a positive or required for an alt-cast.
... Why would it be a positive?
Daiyuki117
Cause she blows?
Damn I love your "It's me, Jeremy."! :D
i would have loved if the W of talhya could have been used on yourself, as a form of dash/escape similar to the way the ziggs W ( i think) works. It would have given her some mobility and some way to outplay/bait ennemies diving on her ( like a olaf). But really, she is hard to get hold but fun to play, i think with a bit more ratio, she would be easily viable.
the terrain destruction ultimate would be amazing
She sadly needs a buff now
imo they should've kept the removing wall thing on her ultimate, but also allowed her to build a wall when not targeting a wall.
Hey I was wondering if there is a way to view what types of champions are in the mix to be made, the "fantasy slotting" list as mentioned in the video, I'm just curios because I'm a little new to league of legends and I'm a support main, and I'm wondering when the next support can be expected.
