+Rigo Tovar Maybe. It would require a shit ton of projectiles, i guess. The invisible minion probably spawns outside of the visible part of the map. God, how much I hate this champion. The enemy ones always block every freaking thing you throw at them and dodge evrery other thing dashing around while killing your team 1 vs 5- But when you have one on your team, he dies instantly every teamfight and ends up as just a slightly more tanky melee minion

+Jeremy "Gaming Curios" What happend if you had vision on every minion on the map e.g in U.R.F with the blue trinket its not that hard to spot every minion on the game
+Alexander Greene no shes not. juggenauts are slow, tanky bruisers with high base damage, and almost no utility, and heavily restricted to melee. fiora was designed as a "light fighter" or melee carry like yasuo. shes far too mobile and has too much utility to count as a juggnernaut.
+JoshTheStar Tala he said it was complicated, he never said it didn't happen. So u can use some logic and assume fiora was complicated to design and make her playable on live servers...
Aryan Gupta im not shitting on him im shitting on the quote that was used by the character creators that making a samurai have parry ability to be "complicated" while a fencer based character at 1st can parry basic attacks then later parry everything how is that complicated? as for logic you clearly want to implement, they made it before, why cant they make it again?
Take a look at Fiora's parry design. It just makes her immune to everything, otherwise its just a skillshot that checks if you absorbed a cc or not. The difficulty was the fact that they wanted an epic legendary samurai-esque parry on the champion, they didn't want a basic skillshot that just triggered a stun if a CC was absorbed. This is why it was difficult.
*havent watched the full video but its sort of irrelavent to the video* I think that yasuo, though very frustrating and annoying to play against, is one of the most developed and well thought out champions riot has ever released, im not sticking up for him I DO NOT main him but do hear me out, all of his abilities are so fluid work well together, like how cool it was finding out that when you q+e he does a spin and the only way to activate his ult is through knock ups, which when playing with friends is the coolest thing in the world because you can just build around him and its great. More champions need to be released like this with fluid abilities that synergies with each other.
its an interesting concept but too many stat buff (perma crit super high armro pen) make him an hyper carry with super mobilty+team wide utility (wind wall). so i find it super badly balanced
Oh, right, because having a source of mobility that nobody can even get close to keep up is super fair. Consistently overmobile champions, with extremmely low cooldown mobility spells (Riven, Yasuo, Fizz, Fiora) are Riot's biggest mistake, and if that continues, the grounded mechanic should be spreaded widely along champions, items AND summoner spells. Also, for my item design of this time: Chronos Trace Last Whisper (1200g) + Phage (1250g) + 550g = 3000g +55 of attack damage +200 of maximum health Unique Passive - Fury: Basic attacks gives 20 of movement speed for 2 seconds. Kills gives 60 of movement speed. This effect is cut in half for ranged champions. Unique Passive - Last Whisper: Damage ignores 25% of all the enemy's defences. Unique Active - Time Warp: For 1 second, all the entities, including but not limited to minions, projectiles, monsters or champions, ally or enemy, surrounding the caster except by himself gets slowed by 50%. (120s cooldown) In a nutshell: you put the game in slow motion in a close range.
As a main mid, the problem I have with Yasuo players is that they either they are so good that you just can't do otherwise but ask for help and try to farm the best, OR, they are so bad that he'll just feed, ignore his theam and throw himself to death cuz he's Yasuo. As a side note, either of those may kill you in late game cuz they're Yasuo.
When CertainlyT was at Game Summit Hagenberg he also talked a bit about Yasuo. It's quite some time ago, so I don't remember a lot, but what i do remember is: - His ult could originally be used on an enemy put in air by ANY effect, even their own jumps(like Jax Q, Trist W). But when in a testing 1vs1 the Jax just stopped using his Q entirely because it would've done him more harm then benefit, they decided to change that to knock ups only. - What they wanted to achieve with the ult was similar to how they designed Threshs lantern. In a playtest of Thresh, the ADC player jumped into two enemies and killed one of them and then took the lantern out. After the playtest, both the ADC and the Thresh approached CertainlyT about how they themself made that play. So they successfully created an ability that would make both parties feel like they did something good. And thats what they also wanted to achieve with Yasuos ult.
+Pizza Turtlez Yasuo actually got no long ranged skills except for his third stack of Q so rito wanted to give him sustain and ability to counter attack . or to simply go ahead and attack your enemy fast without being scared from taking fatal dmg in return . that's for his shield. but for his crit, yasuo would have been TOTAL CRAP CHAMPION WITH NO DMG if he didn't have a double cc. and yasuo now can be counted by alote of champs . it just depend on how u play against him hes not op . infact I think he needs a buff but not a dmg buf I mean something that can help him stay abit longer at tf since just some ccs and hes down . that's why both of his passives are important .and also the double crit chance would help him to build other items in game . not 4 items with crit to achieve 100% chance that would make him annoying to play and you will hate him eventually
+gamingchrizie if you got a bad Yasuo in game and ends up with high kills then either your team is badly composed or your team sucks OR that yasuo is really REALLY good. if u got a yasuo in enemy team just make sure to have some cc champs in your team . yasuo is all about moving
Fiora fits the "dash, parry, strike" criteria so much better than Yasuo... i never really understand why Yasuo needed to be made. he has a lot of interesting concepts (like double crit chance) that just make him polar to play and really hard to balance
+Trevor Luebbert that is why so many people dislike his designer. He makes characters for his love of imagination, but he does what all nerds do and blows to out of proportion, pushing it to every limit till you end with max dmg and max defense with little room to nerf or counter
+Shad Wood Yeah I agree its almost like he was just trying to make an OC instead of a playable character. He sounds and looks cool, but the original ideas listed in this video were just cool ideas instead of good gameplay design. and once the melee champion was starting to get poked he couldn't have that so he had to give him two passives. Same with Darius and the attempted change to block projectiles on his q.
***** she doesn't though, because her healing ring is super conditional requiring her to kill her target...which is hard to do if the enemy team knows what their doing
+Vegass TheNoob since you main yasuo, do you have some good builds? i recently bought him but can't really find any good build with some health and much damage...
Jeremy where do you create or get that footages of what the skill might be in-game? Amazing work by the way, I love to see the stages of the development, I can learn a lot from them. ; )
Really enjoyed the part where you talked about the windwall, how the coding for it was a challenge and how they managed to work it aroud by directing the ability to a invisible minion, just Awesome!
+Aryan Gupta There is a significant deffrence between a good and bad Yasuo, Im in diamond and have seen all from beginner yasuos that sucked dick to yasuo mains that were practically unbeatable.
Hey Jeremy. I got super curious at 12:30 on how the wind wall is coded. I didn't quite get your explanation, though. How do they do to detect and destroy when an ability reaches the wind wall? How id the ability destroyed afterwards? Seems like the ability is redirected... but where is it redirected to? Sounds like it is sent to a minion. What kind of minion and which kind of characteristics? Does that information exist anywhere?
+Ivan Stuart arhrah! Ye listen here, matey. I'd rather anger a racoon, dip its claws in citrus cider and let it claw up me ol' caboose fore i tell any landlubber that!
What Yasuo could've been? Someone that actually makes the community friendly because people should understand how hard he is to play and not whine like 10 year olds because of his 2x Crit Chance or how majority of the players that use him mess up pretty hard. And this comes from a Yasuo main that's played 200+ games with him since his release in the PH server.
Yasuo will never be properly balanced, as long as he will be able to hold his stupid passive (crit) or wind wall. Because no matter how bad you will be or how bad you will lane, you will ALWAYS be good at late game, shiv+ie = 100% crit chance, 0/15 guys start to spew out ridiculous dmg, no matter what, you cant shut down yasuo, because he only needs two items to finish his build.
+Asofe17 Yeah if you're bronze. Do you know what 100% crit (with reduced damage btw) with no armor pen or AD is worth? nothing, unless your an idiot who builds glass cannon. You can easily neutralize a yasuo with only two items using one defensive item. Yasuo isn't broken, you're just shit at the game.
Im dia you stupid bit.ch Its not that he cant be stopped its the fact that he can suck as much as he wants early game and will still be good, its the fact that his stupid crit passive and wind wall gives so much team fight pressure that it does not matter you can be bronze level at laning phase and still do fairly decent and help your team, aka he is no brainer and cant be shut down, because his build path is extremely short, because of his stupid passive he can dodge 1 whole item to get that crit rate, heck he can dodge two, if we consider what u need to get other champs to 100% crit rate. IE nullify his passive damage reduction, so he crits 100% normal crits, and can cancel auto attacks and double crit every 1,33 seconds. Its not that he is overpowered, its the fact that he is BROKEN. And will continue to be until he loses either his WALL or his Crit passive. P.s LEARN TO READ. P.p.s U know what 100% crit with normal damage means vs glass cannon adc and ap? It means 0/15 yasuo can outduel and two-three shot them every time all the time he gets near them. So much aggression, so little brain or knowledge.
A step in the right direction would be letting the wall fade after it ate a projectile or making the wall also an obstacle for his allies, this would bring a bit of thinking into this champion so he cant just cancer it right into a teamfight and outskill all the skillshot based champions.
That is awful design. It already has counterplay, the problem is bad players seem to think that staying in one spot when your projectiles will be blocked is a good idea.
Why is lol so averse to big counters. Having windwall explode projectile would be a decent way to put a drawback on it.. instead of it just blocking everything and being strong as fuck... It stop ultimate for fuck sake...
+Maxime Desrosiers yeah and they think that "it could be used to troll teammates by blowing projectiles up so it hits them" bullshit, look at all the recent champions, they all have troll abilities. Bard, Tahm Kench, Kalista, Taliyah etc
+Maxime Desrosiers "Because it might not be fun for the person playing the champion" - Riot. Except on supports. They gotta have counter play because otherwise it's "oppressive" and "anti-fun". Like how any non-support hero gets to have as many fucking dashes as they want, but as soon as it's a supports turn to dash, it has to be saddled with a retarded number of asterisks (ie. Bard must target a wall and then retarget the entry point, Leona needs to land a skillshot, Sona only gets her movement speed for a nanosecond unless she affects an ally with it, TK gets a large dash after waiting 9 fucking years to use it and then telegraphs it for another 2-3 years for good measure etc etc.) But an adc? Oh we can give them a dash in whatever direction they want. Hey - we should add reset mechanics to the dash as well (ie. Ezreal, Lucian, Vayne) for doing shit they're supposed to do anyway! and assassins... Basically - is 2 dashes enough or should we have 3 (Ie. Ekko, Riven, Zed, Fizz, etc) Oh we should add invulnerability frames to them as well, wouldn't want anyone with fast reaction times to stop them from having fun. Then the things that make these supports rewarding (ie. Soraka heals, ) get absolutely stomped on because the Zed mains at riot games got their 4th item maybe 20 seconds late. (I just looked through the patch notes back to 6.7, and supports themselves aside from 2 soraka nerfs, the taric rework and subsequent 2 nerfs, only Anivia and Annie, although both of those are arguably not supports got touched. /endrant
JustSomeGuy First of all, it's not useless against melee champs, as a lot of them as spells with range, especially melee supports. And you didn't bring any point to the discussion, we know that you can just walk past the wall.
I have to say that one of my favorite parts of all of your videos is the song at the end. I always wait for that "Duh-NUh!" of the trumpet before I even of think of moving on. Simple things in life you know?
+dovis skorkis The champion irelia was actually inspired by kenshin. For example her W is called "hiten style" which is a reference to the "hiten mitsurugi style" that kenshin uses in the anime. In my experience as an irelia main she also destroys yasuo 1v1.
+Dipsta Like I said she doesn't remind samurai and yasuo need a good rival and himura would be perfect. and her inspirement from Kenshin is absolutely useless
+dovis skorkis sure but I'm merely referring to her lore and abilities. plus there will never be a another champion like yasuo as riot want to avoid making champs that are too similar
I would like to see a champ that's literally a basic knight/swordsman. (Helmet bro?) With a Q that's like a combo move of a couple of differently hitboxed sword moves (2 cone slashes, a forward stab and a downward slash for example), A short dash/roll on his E (Possibly with a short untargetable frame) and a w that lets him hold his shield up. When holding your shield up you'll deal either less damage or can't attack at all, but you can block a couple of physical-damage spells or attacks from the direction it's facing. Perhaps it should slow your movement too idk. His ult I don't have any ideas for. Maybe he swaps out his shortsword for a greatsword, getting rid of the shield but dealing increased damage with a bigger range on his Q. Perhaps he shouldn't even have auto attacks, which could make his ability set more impactful in return.
+JayJay Golden hell maybe even make him so that you can build him tank or damage, with his armor visually changing the more health, armor or mr you get, while his sword will change the more AD you have? :o
Karol B Kind of I guess? Less cc than riven though, and no annoying dash spam on the Q. I'd say it's enough of an unique idea to be a champion. Looking at how similar other champs are.
+JayJay Golden I can get behind this idea, also because i like the whole sword and shield style, but maybe auto attacks shouldn't be removed altogether, but maybe have a revamped version like graves has, or just make not rely on them. I would really love if a tanky, caster-ad bruiser got added, and make into something that isn't just braindead to use :P
Mathias Eriksen His auto attacks would be his Q in the case he won't have a real auto attack. Meaning that you can combo your Q really fast, and there's no inbetween-combo cooldown (or it's really really low) Here's a general concept I just typed out (It looks very detailed, but those details are very much up to debate and up for change. I just brought what I thought to be fun, not neccesarily what would be good in game or is programmable) boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/iEXV8Awy-champion-ideaconcept-no-name-yet-a-simple-swordsmanknight-hero-of-jandelle
+Midaspl This game is really, REALLY, REALLY badly coded. Like terribly coded. Like I don't even know how some of these champions are capable of working in the code coded. It's some wizardry. DID YOU KNOW: Some of the terrain in the game, like walls and such, are also minions?
Naw he's an overrated champ played by cocky scumbag assassin players who think they're gods cause they can play a brain dead champions like yas, zed and yi
Double crit, free shield, resourceless, knocks-up, extend others knock-ups, mobile as f, free penetration on ult, block projectiles. Wonder why would anyone hate him /s
+blockhead134 i dont even play yasuo, but i can still recognize that hes an amazingly designed champion. this game doesnt have a lot of real melee adc. fiora, yasuo and yi being the ones that are actually functional and interesting and have a high skillcap. tryndamere is a design trainwreck, sion has been reworked into a bruiser/tank, and gangplank with his barrels feels almost more like a wierd sort of caster than a melee adc now.
So if the projectile is teleported to a minion out of player bounds and sight, would having a red elixir, gunblade or deaths dance still heal u from an ability or auto attack being shot into the windwall?
Michelle Lee no cause it won't work he has too many abilities that should be on low cds like E and Q. By the time your in melee range with the enemy champion you'd have no energy as your E would be used too much from surfing the wave.
I love the yasou bug that after you ult you cant use q, e, or auto(and sometimes move) for a few seconds. Feels really great when youre in close situations
It makes ot so that he quite litterally has 2 items he has to build in order to deal relevant damage. It limits his build path, he can't just build against his enemy properly since if he does not get his crit items he deals no damage.
In terms of damage yasuo is still pretty strong... in terms of mobility, he's too op, the dash should be nerfed... I've seen darius 1v5 and those darius doesn't even build damage, it's just a pure tank darius and they're just spamming their abilities, how is that fair?
Takeru Maku Chii darius has zero mobbilty.if he gets a penta its mostly just because the enemy team is super bad at positinging. .yas doesnt even have that great mobbilty for an assasin.its very limited.yas loses against very much match ups and gets camped easily.if you play these champs you will notice there weaknesses.
you forgot that to put in that vid that yasuo's wind wall can block turret shots and riot realized that it was too op se they allowed turret shots to pass through his wind wall
the notion of infinite dashes and a wind wall makes for a really annoying champion. Not OP (anymore), but still one of the most annoying champs to lane against.
You're doing really great work here, I just wanted to say. I hope Riot acknowledges your efforts and let's you come to SF and see some new champions they're working on.
Jeremy plz make a video which you're talking about abilities' keyboard position. i mean why on E we often see abilites with a movement effect or why on W are all passive abilities
I remember talking to a Rioter about an upcoming Champion. He was still in very early prototyping for art and animation and he was curious about what I thought about when I thought of "lone Samurai." I directed him to "Ukyo Tachibana" from "Samurai Showdown" and he thought it was really interesting. Wonder if that was taken into some small consideration.
I'm fine with yasuo's W blocking skillshots and abilities, but having it block autoattacks basically stops any ranged enemy from doing sustained damage to him and any of his allies, so long as they dance around or just stand in the hitbox of the shield which lasts for a very long time.
So basically... rito doesn't care how frustrating an ability is. They just want to create rage champs. Next thing you hear "Oh, we'll make an ability that allows a champion to stop time for 5 seconds. Sure there is no counter play. But it sounds fun."
*asks pros what champ should get a projectile shield* *most say a support* *one guy says AD carry* *AD carry gets windwall* I don't want to argue whether windwall is OP or not, but thematically I think a super strong axe wielder chopping projectiles and pushing back enemies with his weapon makes more sense than a mainly swordsmanship based person who can make tornadoes being able to create a persisting wall of wind that blocks projectiles (without knocking back or doing anything else). It looks as if CertainlyT was just getting impatient with finding the perfect champion to implement a concept he thought was 'cool' so he just tried to think up the best way to fit it into the next champion he works on.
+TeCool Mage I agree, but his theme is he controls win, so his W concept isn't far-fetched. I feel like if it was a windslash that you actually had to time to knock projectiles out of the way (kinda like how Fiora's W is where you have that small window, but allows you to outplay hard) would make him not as mindless.
Josh Compton A wind samurai would be 10x cooler if it didn't have a flimsy defensive wall and instead has something like... idk a knockup at melee range?
hey jeremy, could you do rek'sai for the next vid? i think that would be very interesting. This series is currently one of my favourite series on youtube, keep it up!
"Yasuo's wall could turn the explosions and killing his team, which riot wouldn't stand for" So Riot's against hurting your own team. Like with Anivia's wall, or Bard's ult, or Jarvan's ult, or pretty much anything in this game already xD
To be honest, i would love to see his W being a active effect, that when activated blocks Projectiles flying towards him. Then i would buff his Q and remove the stacking effect on his e. But yasuo is a pretty good champion, really fun to play :). and also the idea with his W would fit into his theme because he could block those projectiles with his sword.
+Sigurd Jack As i said, yasuo is pretty good. And no, not only the animation would be different, please use your brain before you say that my comment is pointless. If his W would be like i said, then there would be NO WALL (!) so he culd move arround while dodging projectiles that fly TOWARDS (!) him. And his Q is fine? yep it is, but if you would remove his stack effect on his e, his q would need a buff. Well, you're probably bronze anyways
Eynonymis K I'm not, and I'm definitely using my brain. Why are you insulting me? And his W would just be even more insane then, since any projectiles fired from behind/front would eventually enter the same point of his hitbox. Basically you'd make his W even better. And like you just said 'his Q is fine, but if you would remove the stack effect on his E, his Q would need a buff' So why even remove the stack effect? You'd remove something just to buff something, that makes no sense, if you can just keep both the same? since you decided to insult me, instead of having an actual debate about the subject, you're the fucking idiot here. You don't get to tell me to use my brain, and then completely shut yours off. inb4 you dont even get my point about the W, and you fail to grasp what I'm saying about the Q and E situation you proposed. You're basically saying 'remove this buff this' for no reason other than to do it. You didnt give any reasoning behind it, you just said to do it; because why not, right? aka it'd be pointless, since it'd make no sense and have no reasoning behind it.
Hey Jeremy, mind doing a "what DRAVEN could have been" I'd love to hear how they came up with the idea of his Q and his kit, I really enjoy your video's, keep up the great work. :)
Yasuo would be the best designed champion imo, if not for the fact that every single one of his abilities is bugged/literally broken(not balance wise). Although it comes down to specific situations, they happen often enough. And they're really, REALLY annoying.
"He liked Master Yi a lot" no wonder why everybody hates this guy

no thanks, even less reason to collect IP. And FYI, tier 2 runes are gonna be 1 ip very soon
build 2 Standard rune sides, buy good champs for your role, get Champion specific runes, buy the other Champs. eZ
+Epischer Junge yeah but what if i play more than 50 champ
I now hate this champion even more.
U lame
balance is real
*havent watched the full video but its sort of irrelavent to the video*
I think that yasuo, though very frustrating and annoying to play against, is one of the most developed and well thought out champions riot has ever released, im not sticking up for him I DO NOT main him but do hear me out, all of his abilities are so fluid work well together, like how cool it was finding out that when you q+e he does a spin and the only way to activate his ult is through knock ups, which when playing with friends is the coolest thing in the world because you can just build around him and its great. More champions need to be released like this with fluid abilities that synergies with each other.
+Josh Drinkwater stfu
its an interesting concept but too many stat buff (perma crit super high armro pen) make him an hyper carry with super mobilty+team wide utility (wind wall).
so i find it super badly balanced
4:16 "If anyone sees my paradox, ask him where I am."
+BLT lol yeah where da fuck did he went
Big lag i would say
Oh, right, because having a source of mobility that nobody can even get close to keep up is super fair.
Consistently overmobile champions, with extremmely low cooldown mobility spells (Riven, Yasuo, Fizz, Fiora) are Riot's biggest mistake, and if that continues, the grounded mechanic should be spreaded widely along champions, items AND summoner spells. Also, for my item design of this time:
Chronos Trace
Last Whisper (1200g) + Phage (1250g) + 550g = 3000g
+55 of attack damage
+200 of maximum health
Unique Passive - Fury: Basic attacks gives 20 of movement speed for 2 seconds.
(120s cooldown)
In a nutshell: you put the game in slow motion in a close range.
Yasuo can open doors. Because he....?
+AlyMewGaming Sorieketon !!..Nailed
+AlyMewGaming has akey
+AlyMewGaming Hasagi
Has a black friend
+AlyMewGaming because he hasaki :^)
As a main mid, the problem I have with Yasuo players is that they either they are so good that you just can't do otherwise but ask for help and try to farm the best, OR, they are so bad that he'll just feed, ignore his theam and throw himself to death cuz he's Yasuo. As a side note, either of those may kill you in late game cuz they're Yasuo.
Where do you find all this information ? no source ?
talks with riot developers
he finds it on reddit as well
When CertainlyT was at Game Summit Hagenberg he also talked a bit about Yasuo. It's quite some time ago, so I don't remember a lot, but what i do remember is:
- His ult could originally be used on an enemy put in air by ANY effect, even their own jumps(like Jax Q, Trist W).
The double passive is unnecessary as hell. He survives most DoT effects and still gets double crit chance. Too goddamn op.
+gamingchrizie Nope.
You gonna tell us why you disagree or just say nope?
+gamingchrizie no need to be offensive. . well are u a Yasuo main? because yasuo is hard as shit at high devs
+gamingchrizie if you got a bad Yasuo in game and ends up with high kills then either your team is badly composed or your team sucks OR that yasuo is really REALLY good. if u got a yasuo in enemy team just make sure to have some cc champs in your team . yasuo is all about moving
his old ult.... is really just yones ult now
You really didn't explain how they came up with yasuo as a "Wind" samurai.
+PrinceXII exactly.. I wanted to know how did they comeup with him bein a wind samurai
I wish his original ult (the dash) was his current ult is seems super cool
I main yasuo and i'd love to have that ultimate, maybe with the damage delayed like a vlad ult it would make him feel like a true samurai
+Vegass TheNoob since you main yasuo, do you have some good builds? i recently bought him but can't really find any good build with some health and much damage...
+Colin Harzing I highly suggest the trinimmortal video guide about yasuo, he is basically a god at that. Plus he is super entertaining
Thanks.. im going to look it up
+jinzhong zheng his last video on yasuo is about a month ago so not sure if there are better builds/items now
I love the way how your videos are organized and the way you talk really is relaxing. Keep it up!
You know what yasuo SHOULD have been"? Deleted.
Days an Iron 4 guy who feed vs Yasuo's ;D
I just stumbled across your channel and I am amazed by the quality of your content! Keep it up! :)
"Fun to play"
"Satisfying kit"
Wow, you talk so nice about the cancer.
"Awesome champion" yup, dislike incoming.
sucks to suck
hes super balanced imo. whats so broken with him? if you don't know how to build / play then yea hes a bitch to play against.
Easify sucks to suck doesn't it.
stay mad.
Jeremy where do you create or get that footages of what the skill might be in-game? Amazing work by the way, I love to see the stages of the development, I can learn a lot from them. ; )
Wow I'm early. Need something to say...uh... ah...
COCONUT MILK.
Foh with yo negative ass.
Moron
yasuo is so overloaded his windfall could be his ultimate on 2 minute cd and still would be supper strong
Honor HotShotGG for Yasuo!
Yup
Really enjoyed the part where you talked about the windwall, how the coding for it was a challenge and how they managed to work it aroud by directing the ability to a invisible minion, just Awesome!
WHAT TEEMO COULD'VE BEEN!
+Jooch Yeah indeed.
riot is removing teemo from the game patch 6.12
you do have quality, didnt really expect that much effort in league videos. keep it up
Emm this isnt you playing Yasuo, right Jeremy? Cause the footage used was actually kinda high level in terms of the mechanics.
oooh shots fired
+Anej Anej Yasuo is not hard to play tbh
+Aryan Gupta There is a significant deffrence between a good and bad Yasuo, Im in diamond and have seen all from beginner yasuos that sucked dick to yasuo mains that were practically unbeatable.
+Anej Anej finally someone not dense
Anej Anej congratz, ur gonna make it to the lcs
Yasuo's abilities synchronise so perfectly together. every single ability.
So.... This was how god create cancer?
remember... they created that little devil teemo so I'm not surprised
Can you guys find the dissapearing Ekko?
I was wondering too...
+Jim SaladEars He was on his island i suppose. The island called Toplane.
Replay glitch I think XD
Sup avery wheres the treasure?
Because no matter how bad you will be or how bad you will lane, you will ALWAYS be good at late game, shiv+ie = 100% crit chance, 0/15 guys start to spew out ridiculous dmg, no matter what, you cant shut down yasuo, because he only needs two items to finish his build.
yasuo is very balanced in 6.9 and the 6.10 pbe
+Asofe17 Yeah if you're bronze. Do you know what 100% crit (with reduced damage btw) with no armor pen or AD is worth? nothing, unless your an idiot who builds glass cannon. You can easily neutralize a yasuo with only two items using one defensive item. Yasuo isn't broken, you're just shit at the game.
+Essa Husseini I like how you deal with that hater. ^^ I suggest you roast him some moaarrr
Im dia you stupid bit.ch
Its not that he cant be stopped its the fact that he can suck as much as he wants early game and will still be good, its the fact that his stupid crit passive and wind wall gives so much team fight pressure that it does not matter you can be bronze level at laning phase and still do fairly decent and help your team, aka he is no brainer and cant be shut down, because his build path is extremely short, because of his stupid passive he can dodge 1 whole item to get that crit rate, heck he can dodge two, if we consider what u need to get other champs to 100% crit rate.
+Asofe17 GIVE THIS MAN A COOKIE!
So it blocks one projectile and then goes on its massive 20+ second cooldown?
What the fuck kind of dumbass shit is that
¨outskill¨
Bard must target a wall and then retarget the entry point, Leona needs to land a skillshot, Sona only gets her movement speed for a nanosecond unless she affects an ally with it, TK gets a large dash after waiting 9 fucking years to use it and then telegraphs it for another 2-3 years for good measure etc etc.)
But an adc?
/endrant
Aukerai
#riothatesupport
+Maxime Desrosiers its op vs projectiles, but completely useless against melee champions. it will either save you or just laugh at your misery
I want another samurai like rurouni kenshin he would be a perfect rival for yasuo
+dovis skorkis The champion irelia was actually inspired by kenshin. For example her W is called "hiten style" which is a reference to the "hiten mitsurugi style" that kenshin uses in the anime. In my experience as an irelia main she also destroys yasuo 1v1.
+Dipsta I'm talking about samurai irelia doesn't reming kenshin in any way. how can she be inspired she is not even samurai?
+dovis skorkis scroll down to the lore section leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Irelia/SkinsTrivia
+JayJay Golden So basically Riven+Braum?
Karol B
Kind of I guess? Less cc than riven though, and no annoying dash spam on the Q. I'd say it's enough of an unique idea to be a champion. Looking at how similar other champs are.
+JayJay Golden I can get behind this idea, also because i like the whole sword and shield style, but maybe auto attacks shouldn't be removed altogether, but maybe have a revamped version like graves has, or just make not rely on them. I would really love if a tanky, caster-ad bruiser got added, and make into something that isn't just braindead to use :P
Mathias Eriksen
His auto attacks would be his Q in the case he won't have a real auto attack. Meaning that you can combo your Q really fast, and there's no inbetween-combo cooldown (or it's really really low)
Here's a general concept I just typed out (It looks very detailed, but those details are very much up to debate and up for change. I just brought what I thought to be fun, not neccesarily what would be good in game or is programmable)
boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/iEXV8Awy-champion-ideaconcept-no-name-yet-a-simple-swordsmanknight-hero-of-jandelle
12:05 - what a shitty code. What are projectiles coded as then, if they can't do simple collision - check on them?
+Midaspl Well, some projectiles are also minions, I'm pretty sure.
Why couldn't they just have coded the wind wall as a fat champion? >:(
+Midaspl This game is really, REALLY, REALLY badly coded. Like terribly coded. Like I don't even know how some of these champions are capable of working in the code coded. It's some wizardry.
DID YOU KNOW:
Some of the terrain in the game, like walls and such, are also minions?
ty jeremy now i know how my favorite champ was made :D
Hey everyone! Thanks for liking the video! Here's a picture of the Pizza that I bought: instagram.com/p/BFw8nAYJn2i/?taken-by=gamingcurios&hl=en
that's a big pizza or is it just the angle of the camera?
what are you talking about
can you give an example? I have no idea what you're talking about
but your example "literally" makes no sense
Lmao
Jhin likes the number 4, Yas likes the number 3
Jhins favorite sport is golf, Yas plays for three
What Yasuo could had been? Sheesh, I dunno, Balanced?
Well, you're right about one thing.
CertainlyT is certainly one of the most hated champ designers... especially after screwing up Mordekaiser.
he truly is a masterpiece
I love you
Mohammed onbekend who doesnt?
+Yasuo the Unforgiven Yasuo is best champion
Naw he's an overrated champ played by cocky scumbag assassin players who think they're gods cause they can play a brain dead champions like yas, zed and yi
materiasummoner j madcausebad?
Double crit, free shield, resourceless, knocks-up, extend others knock-ups, mobile as f, free penetration on ult, block projectiles.
Wonder why would anyone hate him /s
I alsow wonder
so the most bullshit champion sarted out as even more bullshit. huh.
He isn't bullshit
Are you really trying to say that yasuos current state is the most op champion in the game? You make me laugh.
+Zero no but he is annoying to deal with,he dashes all the time and stuff
Your name suits you
+blockhead134 i dont even play yasuo, but i can still recognize that hes an amazingly designed champion. this game doesnt have a lot of real melee adc. fiora, yasuo and yi being the ones that are actually functional and interesting and have a high skillcap. tryndamere is a design trainwreck, sion has been reworked into a bruiser/tank, and gangplank with his barrels feels almost more like a wierd sort of caster than a melee adc now.
So if the projectile is teleported to a minion out of player bounds and sight, would having a red elixir, gunblade or deaths dance still heal u from an ability or auto attack being shot into the windwall?
should have just gave yasuo energy
Michelle Lee no cause it won't work he has too many abilities that should be on low cds like E and Q. By the time your in melee range with the enemy champion you'd have no energy as your E would be used too much from surfing the wave.
I love the yasou bug that after you ult you cant use q, e, or auto(and sometimes move) for a few seconds. Feels really great when youre in close situations
Fuck Yasuo.
What?
+Alexander Denchev yep would like to do that
Zer0Xly 2in1
so youre into gaysex?
League of Yasuo only if it is braum or Yasuo if u know what I mean (insert Lenny face)
huh?
Double Yasuo's critical strike chance is an aberration and should never have been implemented.
It makes ot so that he quite litterally has 2 items he has to build in order to deal relevant damage.
It limits his build path, he can't just build against his enemy properly since if he does not get his crit items he deals no damage.
Without it he'd be a Support for sure. He's too weak without it
+Anime GOD Exactly. People never play Yasuo and think they know about him. He has this huge "OP" preconception because he's fucking badass
+Alpha Sapphire (Falinesti) man for real? . hes a fucking samurai :D
They should just fire Riot Certainly T... i mean srsly... created Darius? and Yasuo? the most unbalanced champs up to date...
You reckon without Fizz, my friend...
Yeah! Is that even necessary, well, at least they take the space in the banned section so i guess that's fine... But still...
yas is super weak now.darius isnt op either.
I think Yasuo is quit an original design who demands a high skill level but brings a lot of different outplay potential
What yas really should have been, thrown in the trash
+materiasummoner j
Go eat a snikers.
+materiasummoner j true
Taxtro WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU REPLYING TO EVERY COMMENT!?
David Hozjan
I don't.
Also stop clogging up my notifications with your spam, dimwit.
So basically at one point in development, windwall was actually balanced and took skill to use properly. Amazing.
I am a level 7 Yasuo Main sorry guys
your a level 7 yasuo main? wtf
+Adriel Naval Level 6 and 7 mastery have been added last patch
+Easify Must feel bad to be bad.
the song at the ending is the most calming song ever. i dont know why but it's too good of a song
What Yasuo could have been: Balanced
What Yasuo actually is: Broken
He really tries all "Swords" of crazy abilities and wacky ideas : ^)
you forgot that to put in that vid that yasuo's wind wall can block turret shots and riot realized that it was too op se they allowed turret shots to pass through his wind wall
my favorite kind of videos you make and 'what a champion could have been' and 'crazy abilites that didnt make it into league og legends' :3
the notion of infinite dashes and a wind wall makes for a really annoying champion.
That first ult sounded so awesome... What would have been even cooler is if the enemy screen blacked out for .1 seconds or something.
This series has made me love Riot. Like the design process is really cool and interesting to me, makes me think differently about the game.
So basically... rito doesn't care how frustrating an ability is. They just want to create rage champs. Next thing you hear "Oh, we'll make an ability that allows a champion to stop time for 5 seconds. Sure there is no counter play. But it sounds fun."
You know what would be cool. A video talking about champs good in solo q and lcs
Where does Jeremy get all this information from the process?
I'm early so let me make a joke.
Dynamic queue.
And also Bastions skillcap.
*asks pros what champ should get a projectile shield*
*most say a support*
*one guy says AD carry*
*AD carry gets windwall*
I don't want to argue whether windwall is OP or not, but thematically I think a super strong axe wielder chopping projectiles and pushing back enemies with his weapon makes more sense than a mainly swordsmanship based person who can make tornadoes being able to create a persisting wall of wind that blocks projectiles (without knocking back or doing anything else).
+TeCool Mage but... but Wind Samurai its awesome
Josh Compton A wind samurai would be 10x cooler if it didn't have a flimsy defensive wall and instead has something like... idk a knockup at melee range?
TeCool Mage but he already has a knock-up
Josh Compton So? Janna has 2 knockups. And Nautilus. And Zac. And Nami. And Vi.
i like this series! no one on youtube does anything like it!
Im pretty sure Zed could have been something else. Am i right? If so can you make a video about what he could have been?
hey jeremy,
could you do rek'sai for the next vid? i think that would be very interesting.
+Eynonymis K theres no difference between the two W's except in animation lol also his q and e are just fine, this is literally a pointless comment.
And like you just said 'his Q is fine, but if you would remove the stack effect on his E, his Q would need a buff'
So why even remove the stack effect?
"coded as minions"... coded as minions... coded as minions... Jarvan, I'm looking at you.
Love these kinds of videos
Hey Jeremy, mind doing a "what DRAVEN could have been" I'd love to hear how they came up with the idea of his Q and his kit, I really enjoy your video's, keep up the great work. :)
Yasuo would be the best designed champion imo, if not for the fact that every single one of his abilities is bugged/literally broken(not balance wise).
Although it comes down to specific situations, they happen often enough. And they're really, REALLY annoying.
Serious question: Where do you get your informations from?
So is it possible to be hit by the yas windwall if you are in the right location on the map
if his windwall is coded as minions. what about stuff like caitlyn ult?
