- The way The Dean Martin Show was meant to be aired.
Guests include Zero Mostel, Tommy Tune, Kaye Medford, Jackie Vernon, comedian Fred Smoot, The Golddiggers, The Dingalings, & Robert Wagner in closet. Songs include "There's a Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder," "Sonny Boy," "It's the Talk of the Town," and "Do You Love Me."
All I can say is THANK YOU SO MUCH I grew up watching his and other shows of that time I was born in 1959 and the memories are incredible ❤️
I saw zero on broadway in fiddler when I was 12. It was the greatest show I had ever seen. I sat in between my parents and I swear the two hours were mesmerizing. He was funny, dramatic, his voice it was unreal. And the best part ? My dad watching me smiling knowing I’m having such enjoyment. I’m 63 now and my fathers gone over 30 years. But that evening was like yesterday. My parents lived for one thing me and my sisters happiness. Wonderful memory. And by the way I loved dean. Never missed his show my dad loved frank and I loved dean. I had all his albums. Great memories. Thank you for giving us his shows on you tube. When he sits on that couch and sings I’m in heaven
One of the best! By the early 70s Dean had it down pat. These complete episodes are such a joy to watch again. Thanks so much for sharing them

This was really excellent television. Zero Mostel and Kaye Medford singing "Do You Love Me?" from Fiddler on the Roof was top notch. Zero Mostel singing and quoting Ted Lewis (in 1971!?) was priceless. The shtick with Kaye being Ken Lane's mama appearing on the "Ken Lane Show" with guest singer--Marvin. Priceless! And the closing number with that almost Fred Waring like chorus of the Goldiggers--very moving. I'm not surprised the show lasted something like 9 years.

After Dino Jr died, Dean was never the same man he was. Such a tragic ending when he died on 25 Dec 1995.😪😪
See that his self-destruction had already begun. Compare the 1967 DMS videos and look back at this one. In just four years he seemed to have aged ten years. The death of the son was only the final blow.

Who knows if at 9:19 pm, when she sang The Talk of the Town, he remembered when he magically sang it with Jerry. I expected Jerry to play with every verse. Damn.

Michelle DellaFave was terrific in the “Funky Chicken” number. Back in the late 1960s, when watching Dino’s show, I had a big crush on her.
The Goldiggers were like Mouseketeers for adults.
I like the closing theme for this show..a nice change
It was a more laid-back version done by a smaller group of musicians Les Brown had.

Minute 51:22, Liz Kelley my ex girlfriend. She told me that Dean would just breeze in and do the show, no rehearsal, it was something he did on his way to the golf course. What a natural talent he was. My girl got the job by bursting through the door of his office ( with her mother in tow) and announcing her name and telling Dean she wanted to be a Gold digger dancer.

They were soulmates from the beginning. Life just got in the way for a bit - his third marriage only lasted 3 years, and it broke up because of his ongoing affection for Jeanne. However, he adopted his 3rd wife's daughter, and no doubt provided well for the ex after the divorce, as he did for his first wife, Betty.

Steven, John Wayne was on a film set near to where nuclear weapons were tested. It took around 30 years, but the lung poison from the radioactive fallout turned malignant and the current cancer "treatment " is... Radiotherapy, which helps around 20 per cent of patients, and finishes off the rest..
I'm not sure what the conversation was,, BUT, John Wayne smoked like a chimney for years,,,,,, so there's that too...

Holy crap, what a difference 5 years can make. Watched the March 3, 1966 episode right before this one and - is it just me? - he looks almost a decade older here. Eesh. Damn you, Father Time! That said, it doesn't matter: 5 or 10 or more years, there'll never be anyone classier. Go, Dino, go!
I think he was devastated over co star Sharon Tate's murder a year and a half eariler, plus he smoked two packs a day, so it really aged him a bit!
yes dino didnt look good with gray hair he stopped coloring his hair in 1971 and the golddiggers ding a lings ruined the show i have nothing against beauitful dolls but the show was more about them and not dean.
+robert szvetics Personally, I sorta had to wonder if for these women (The Dingalings) this was the highlight of their life--to be on the Dean Martin Show. But the girls at the end of the show, singing almost like they were Fred Waring's chorus--really knocked it out of the park. And the photos of the girls at the end of the show was really touching--like they were actually important to the show... Which they were...
+Danger Mountain It's interesting, Dean is one of those people who I think just got better with age. Yes, he looks older, but it just works for him, I think.
it seems like men really age between 60 and 70 women seem to age every year look at harrison ford who really aged in the last 10 years

+Rona Topaz It's funny how Dean wanted to project smoking as 'cool' when many of the actors wanted to deny smoking as addiction. Nat King Cole, Walt Disney, John Wayne--all dying from cigarette smoking... Maybe one day, society will see gun ownership as a pathology as well.

no offense but i think this is when the dean martin show started to go down hill with the ding a ling sisters golddiggers deans producer turned the show into a girlie show and dean really didnt look good with gray hair i think the show should of only been on 5 years it was getting a little tired by 1971
I have to agree. I'm a big fan of the show, but this episode is pretty bad. That ding-a-ling sisters segment....wow...pretty bad.

I think the ding a ling sisters were great ! Dino was only in his 50s here ! Certainly not over the hill ! I think he over acting the drunk slur a bit and it got a little tiresome and made him seem older than what he was
What shocks me the most is after the show he dyed his hair but he still looks good with grayhair
