I heard Dean Martin for the first time in the late 5o's. I was a very young girl then and I fell in love with him (so did my Mom). That was in Paris France where I was born. UA-cam is the best thing to happen to entertainment since the invention of television. Remembering the week nights watching Dean with family, good times in spite of the turbulence that gripped us in the 60's. Worked with Dean once, his last hour special, late 80's. He was a mess. He was never the same after his sons passing. RIP Dean. The joyful times you shared can never be replaced.
@moon beam even dean Martin said that the reason 6 of his top 20 song were Christmas songs and 5 were written by Glenn Cambell in the '60s. His rendition of Honey, easy on my mind, and By the time I get to Phoenix were the best. I loved Dean in Matt Helm and some of his Jerry Lewis movies. But the crooner era of music was horrible. Only Crooners who transitioned to modern music continued to attract fans. Earlier rap was okay, but rap became too commercialized. Earlier country good. Early rock good. But the real trash is modern rock and country. However, I know trash is in the ears of the listener. I do play some classical on the piano and guitar, but that usually just for my dad who was a big band era trumpeter who taught me Benny Goodman,Glenn Miller and other big band music which is also very good IMO.

Lots of great entertainment, for sure. But, as a woman, life wasn't so jolly. Few women had jobs outside the home, and they were limited to nursing or teaching. Women were not encouraged in business, science, politics. A married woman could not have her own checking account or credit card until the 1970's. They came only in her husband's name. A woman normally could not buy a house or land on her own. There was no such thing as marital rape. Any female rape victim was normally victimized again, she "asked for it." There was little police intervention in domestic abuse. Women were told to allow their men to be "boys will be boys," and sleep around, but if SHE did it, the roof came down on her head. "Divorcee" was a put-down, only applied to women. The "Feminist movement,"was condemned by church and politicians alike, as trying to destroy America. We owe those brave females our relative freedoms today. Just a note from personal experience.

Apart from Frank calling Johnny Mathis the 'African Queen'... that was pretty trashy. Obviously felt threatened. And rightly so as Johnny was still producing great albums into his 6th decade. After blue eyes was long dead.

God how I miss him...what class, what humour. How I wished I could have met him...🙏🏽
I thought you were dead JA.
Dean was such a natural actor, a great entertainer and singer. Who will ever forget that fimilier voice.
I had such a crush on Dean when I was a young girl. I'm now 67. Watched his show all the time and listened to his music always. My all time favorite.

I luved dean in westerns. He and Rickey Nelson sang great together
I am already 100% gravitating to that tall, handsome, smiling faced, fun loving, easy going, and relaxed Dean Martin !!!
I have NO intention of gravitating toward anyone else !
Now That's ENTERTAINMENT !! Not the special effects junk and reality crap on TV today.
It's called talent! Just about doesn't exist any longer!
Love those men the good old days
Ingelburt huperdink
Dean Martin was the very best ever! None of his peers could come even close to him! He was pure unadulterated talent! Men like him only come once around and he was it!
E un privilegio parlare di questi grandi attori, erano completi ,qualunque recita gli davano da fare, erano insuperabili, grazie di tutto il ❤️ per averli fatti vedere anche alle nuove generazioni
Holy shit the way he looks at girls when they sing ❤️❤️
Boy do I enjoy these old shows! What a time this era was!
Much as I enjoy these shows , I'm still considering dropping this "service" because of the way they mess up things, like inserting Chinese characters in Google.
Goodbye, (do svidaniya) .
Absolutely fantastic vintage entertainment by Dean and gang. You will never get such scintillating performances like it today!
Dean Martin is the First True Meaning of SWAG!
Dean was the meaning I'd cool style and could act, dance and sing. One cool dude
I use to watch 'The Dean Martin Shows, woth my Mom. So, thank you, for the memories of real talent, care free childhood and my Mother's laughter. I miss all of them.
Wow! What pure class. This level of entertainment seems to just be gone from show business today.
Dean was a class art. I saw an inverter-view w/ Dean, when they rehearsed without him they recorded the rehearsal and Dean listen to it while golfing.

I love love love love love love love love Dean Martin. No one like him.
Cool
My papa loved his show. After a long week of working , this show was relaxing
My sister visisted me while I was in Long Beach California about 1969 and when I asked her what she wanted to see here coming from Nebraska this is all she wanted. I got us great tickets snd we had the best time.
A time when men weren't afraid to be men and comedy wasn't trashy
Men are often terrified of being men aren't they
Apart from Frank calling Johnny Mathis the 'African Queen'... that was pretty trashy. Obviously felt threatened. And rightly so as Johnny was still producing great albums into his 6th decade. After blue eyes was long dead.
his show was different and great, i used to look forward to enjoying his weekly shenanigans of fun and music.
