We would have loved to do it but copy rights on UA-cam won’t allow us to. We have a short of us doing this dance if you want to do it along with us there. Sorry for the inconvenience 🥰
the intro is so ironic because this is one of the dances that I see done differently at every bar... I've seen 2-wall versions, 4-wall versions, many different numbers and placement of restarts, and one bar even faced a new wall each time they did a restart haha
The issue with this "canonical" "standardized" "correct" dance is the roadmap. There's an objectively correct way to do the steps themselves, and you can follow the line dance in the movie up through the first chorus (although it actually starts with the B section of the dance). At that point the dancers in the movie break off and start doing their own thing. You can follow precedent thru the second verse and chorus, but then you get a truncated 8-count post-chorus, followed by a bridge and a guitar solo, and how you choreograph those is anyone's guess since the dancing in the movie is no longer recognizable as the line dance by the time the second verse starts. As for the 8-count tag at the very end of the song, all bets are off.
Sometimes people get lost when following along the movie because it's cut up - specifically for the movie :) (unfortunately video editors don't care about making sure the sequence is perfectly correct!) But the actual choreographers taught and walk through the line dance as a whole and if you just trust yourself to continue with the pattern from the get-go, you'll end the line dance by clapping facing the opposite wall. It ends up lining back up and works out PERFECT if you just stay the course! :)
Not sure what step-sheet you're looking at, but the original choreographers show that it's a two-wall line dance in their tutorial :) You can check it out here if you'd like: ua-cam.com/video/F2_Qp4rs31w/v-deo.html
Yeah sorry, if you look at our shorts or either our instagram or tiktok you will find a video of us doing it. We couldn’t use the music in the tutorial due to copyright laws. Sorry again.
Aaaa, I'm trying to learn this by following here and observing the scene from the movie but theres some conflict! For the most part everything seems very much the same except both times you get to see them complete the 48 counts... they turn left! im so confused ;c
It's just because of how they cut it up for the movie! Unfortunately the post-production video editors don't care about making sure it's done correctly, just what cuts make the best/most sense! :)
Unfortunately, because the line dance moves so much, it needs to be this far away so you can see the feet the whole time! If someone else was professionally filming instead of us filming on a tripod, we would definitely do it much closer!
Nah. I teach these dances. Seen hundreds of tutorials. This is not the only one that has extended lines of choreography. Did you use an iPad? They produce great videos without the need for expensive equipment. This choreography is too far from the camera to be seen properly.
We are from Utah so that’s definitely not true, and we hate to break it to you but, If you aren’t doing it the way it is in the Movie, then you aren’t doing it right 🫠
And to be clear, you are welcome to do the line dance however you want. You just don’t get to claim it’s the right way, unless you do it the way the original choreographers do it 😊
Actually, we teach it correctly. Exactly the same way the original choreographers taught it for the movie - here is the original Tutorial from the actual choreographers from the movie - ua-cam.com/video/F2_Qp4rs31w/v-deo.html Hope this helps! As you can see, there's only one tag throughout the entire 2-wall line dance. :)
See it with music here: ua-cam.com/users/shortsYesdmJKz_RE?feature=share
I was just gonna say lol thank you
Can you do it to music, but facing away from the camera like you taught it?
I would have much rather seen the whole dance to the music at the end than you and your partner doing a bunch flips lol 😂

That's wild! They're not doing it the way the original choreographers taught it then! haha
I’m so excited to finally learn this!
Tag us when you get it!
Me too!!!!! Doing it here I’m alaska!!
I don’t understand a lot of these comments. I think you did a really good job at teaching this line dance! Thank you for your help!
im gonna be watching this vid for the next 3 months btw while I learn
I finally learned it from the creators tutorial and yours!!
Oh that's AWESOME!!
Me: okay, totally got it. End of video: Yeah right!
Literally just felt like I was tripping all over my feet when doing it at the actual tempo
I love it! Would you make a tutorial for our new line dance? This song is so much fun. John Wayne's Impossible Groove Machine Line Dance 😂
Hard to make a tutorial for a line dance we've never done 😂
@@KingandQueenofCountrySwing That's true. Let us know what you think. ua-cam.com/video/5psoWK7vOq8/v-deo.html
I love footloose and this song and dance
WE DO TOO!
Wish you could do a dance to the full song so we could see what directions to face
It's only a two-wall line dance, so you'll end the song facing the back and clapping at the very end! Hope that makes sense :)
That’s so funny because we have a different dance to this. We definitely do not do the same as the movie
haha at least you recognize it! :)
Can you guys do a video on COME
ON AND JUMP! Flo rida ( JUMP ) pleaseeeeeeeee please please 😭😭😭😭

I don't know where you got that this is a 2 wall line dance, but it is clearly a 4 wall dance, as noted on the stepsheet.

There’s a tutorial by the choreographers of the dance in the movie and it’s different… I don’t know which one to learn!
We teach it exactly the same as the original choreographers! :)
I have no idea what dance this is and wish they would have first shown the dance with music so we know what to aim for.
They have a full dance video up already!
Yeah sorry, if you look at our shorts or either our instagram or tiktok you will find a video of us doing it. We couldn’t use the music in the tutorial due to copyright laws. Sorry again.

We pinned the video with music at the top!

Your camera needs to be closer to the dancer.

Utah and Idaho has different version

Where are your booties from ?
They're from Ariat! :)
Oh lord this is complicated
Hahah it's a tricky one for sure!
The whole first part of the dance is wrong! There is also parts A, B C and D, which they do none of… better go back to the drawing board!
