Another great video, Mark. What a great idea, just having an informal model show between friends. Excellent. Thanks for "having us along". I was impressed by the Wolfman's kit collection. It's comforting to know that I'm not the only person who's going to have to live until I'm 273 before I get all my kits built.
Mark, well first of all brother belated Happy Thanks Giving to you & the family. Looks like y'all had a great time? Had a good weekend myself. My question is who done that cool '64 Malibu stock car/hauler? THAT is very cool. Right up my alley to be exact! Thanks as always for sharing with all of us buddy... Saw ya later!
Many thanks brother!! Hope your Thanksgiving was great as well!! Yes sir, we had a blast! The 64 car and rig was built by John Larkin out of Tennessee. I did a video for “Now that’s cool” for next week on this build. Absolutely a great rig!
Looks like a great time!!! Lots of cool models. A few notes: I got to know Gerald when he started attending our AMS/Road Knights contests in Charlotte. Lots of memories triggered seeing just how many trophies Gerald took home from our shows!! LOTS!!! The nice LA Dart build was nice. One of the first decals my Penngwen Hobbies did was for the LA Dart. Dad worked for Valvoline racing for many years and knew Bill. When I started working with Burket/Model King I provided the LA Dart artwork to Sean S who added the red stripes. So I have a lot of connections to that car!!! Thanks! Anyone else attend AMS 90??
Thank you very much Dave!! Jerel, Ricky Couch and I use to travel to many of the Road Knights shows together. Always top notch shows! Trae Larkin built the LA Dart. Fantastic little build! A truly iconic racer! Many thanks for sharing your memories and info! I was at AMS 90 too!
Another AMS 90 attendee here. 👍 And thank you! I started the LA Dart build about 25ish years ago, using an original kit, and stalled on the build until dragging it back out a few weeks ago. I also did artwork for the decals and printed most of those myself, though the "SOLAR"s are actually from the original sheet, believe it or not. The red on this one is good ol' Testors.
@@MarkBatsonHobbydude007 AMS 90 was such a huge undertaking I missed seeing so many people......but it was such a great show I still loved being part of it. After all I got to go to dinner with Bud Anderson!!! THX
Thank you very much Mike!! This little gathering was the debut of my (and Hippiedude’s) new poker chips. LOL Plan to put out three at every show we attend. I’ll be showing them in an upcoming video.
I haven't seen a bottle of Sun Drop in years. I visited friends in Gastonia thirty-odd years ago and drank it like water! Good times.
Thanks buddy!! Sun Drop is still around down here. Amanda has some Diet Cherry Sun Drop in the frig right now. lol
Good stuff!
One grocery store up here in Montana carries it. I love it.
@BigSkyModelWorkshop Me too! Good stuff!
