Don't get rid of Def rating or hit rating items even after you replace them. You might end up getting an upgrade in other gear that means you need to go back. Always good to keep a couple peice of hit or Def gear to rebalance later if required.
I would suggest that if you are a DPS warrior/Feral Druid you take the Regal Protectorate instead of Bladefists since at level 63 you can do the quest The Vengeful Harbinger in Terrokar for the Ancient Draenei War Talisman, basically the exact same trinket minus 5 crit strike rating. That way you get a good tanking trinket and a good dps trinket.
I'm sure everyone that's played the game in this comment section has already told you but you actually don't have to do any lead-up quest to get the cruels intention/overlord tanking trinket in hellfire. You just have to get the burning missive or whatever it's called quest item that drops off of war bringer arax amal then turn that in and fly to kill the overlord. You could have completely skipped hellfire and go to the zone and have that trinket in 10 mins with zero quest chain.
Tanking trink hellfire, you just have to get the -dark missive- (drop from demon mob) Starts 3 quest chain Leading to overlord the quest that gives you the trinket

Soooo, 2 trinkets obtained by quests can put one fresh Draenei Elemental Shaman really close to the Spell Hit Cap without having to worry about neither the Scryers Spell Hit Trinket nor any of the Tailoring Spell Hit craftable gear. . . THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING! Jokes aside, you can really equip yourselves with all the quest rewards out there and on the way to 70 you will at some point unlock some reputation rewards either way. So, why not just use all these random greens(but with decent stats and/or effects) until you start farming them Heroics?
I still have Rune of the Guard Captain @ level 70 but I can't be assed doing all the quests to get one of these trinkets. I'll just wait for one to drop in kara / gruul's lair and get 20 more badges for bloodlust brooch
The Cruel Intentions doesn't require much of a quest chain my dude. You just need to kill the guy that drops the "Burning Legion Missive" at one of the forge camps...
Isn't there an amazing tank one from hellfire like right away? Overlord rewards a 26 defense rating trinket that has on use for 900hp, lifegiving gem is 1,500 but no defense rating, hell with that gem over lifegiving that naxx warriors use now that'd damn near defense cap them at like 61 to kara.

You forgot Badge of Tenacity for druids. Passive armor on use 150 agi for 20 sec. better than the hellfire dodge one.

Trinkets are great for hit and def stats, you can swap out for a dps trinket on lower level stuff like trash and then pop these back on for bosses.

some of the ilvl 120 greens are better than the ilvl 115 epics or rares. Doing a lot of prison opening in Netherstorm do pay off at the first phase.

if you use a trinket that “increases your health by 900” and then you fall below 900 health when it wears off, do you die? or do you fall to 1 health?
You should be at whatever % you were at with the trinket
Can confirm you drop down to the same %health of your new health total
