I have a legit question. If arven knew that we were the ones who gave his mom or dad the research that led to their death and we gave them the book knowing that iot would lead to their deaths. Do you think Arven would ever speak to the player character ever again if that information came to light?
The thing that doesn't make sense is that we get the Scarlet/Violet book. Arven is supposed to have it with him. He wouldn't have found the Herba Mystica without it. And past us wouldn't even be able to stop the time machine. If this created an alternated timeline then we basically sentenced Mabostiff to death and the rest of Paldea will be overrun by Paradox in another timeline.
If you go talk to Arven after this event, he only mentions that you got a copy of the Scarlet/Violet book and nothing else. Hopefully we can give him more closure once the epilogue is released.
@@tailsfan10 he thinks the player wrote it to troll him. Writing on Sada's handwork Aint enough to be a proof because it can be written easily with a professional writer.

The kicker - you don't even need to have Terapagos in your actual party for this scene to trigger. He just needs to be caught and in your Boxes. This means that this precious little bean, without being Terastallized, summons itself from your Boxes, force itself into your party even if you have a full team of six, performs its dimensional shenanigans, then does it all in reverse! Man, and I thought shattering a Master Ball was badass. But if this is the power of a newborn, imagine how dangerous an adult would have been, or even an entire species! Maybe it's for the best that this Terapagos is the last of his kind...
I kinda wish they gave us an option or it was some part of the game to actually break the time loop. We could have mentioned Arvern, the Professors death, a lot of things to change the timeline but no.
"...The complexities of space-time are beyond count... It's possible that our encounter might not even be occurring in a timeline connected to my own." A strong hint at multiverse theory, through which it is hypothesized that time is not linear from past to future, but that one event can create an infinite number of branching futures - different dimensions, if you will. The professor is suggesting the very plausible possibility of this. Also, the copy of the Scarlet/Violet Book the professor gives you is the exact one used as the key for the Paradise Protection Protocol at the end of the main game. For the professor to have given this to you in your time would mean that it would no longer exist in their own. It could stand to reason that they may find another copy to use as the key, but this particular copy of the book has held such significance to the plot throughout the game that I doubt it could be so easily replaced. "Perhaps I should take this chance to go home and enjoy a bit of downtime with a good book..." This book, written by the closest thing your dimension has to Heath himself, is a documentation of every answer the professor seeks to find in their studies of Area Zero. And it's there, in their hands, just waiting to be read. They've no need to continue pushing further and further into the maw of Area Zero to find the answers, they can just go home and read it. They can go home and be with their son. There is no outcome in our time/dimension in which the professor does not undertake the path that leads to the events of the game - that is forever set in stone. But while Arven's parents may be dead in our time, there is a version of Arven who never had to grow up alone, who never learned to loathe Koraidon/Miraidon, who never nearly lost Mabosstiff. An Arven who got to live some semblance of a normal life, all thanks to this chance encounter across space and time. And I'm sure some are thinking, "But what about the book you find in the lab below the Zero Lab that tells you about this exact encounter?" I honestly can't say... Multi-verse theory's a bitch, and this is a kid's game, so the devs probably felt inclined to offer some sort of hint that this interaction was even possible. But if you follow this piece of evidence instead of what I have offered, then that makes the events of S/V an ouroboros in which you encounter here pushes the professor deeper into obsession and causes them to die, thus making you a culprit in the demise of the parents of one of your best friends, and making you - the player - the TRUE antagonist of the game, and perhaps the most unintentionally deplorable antagonist in Pokemon history. But it's open to interpretation, I think. I choose to believe what makes me happy, and I encourage all of you reading this to do the same. Regardless, there is no way to "break the cycle", but if you don't believe that there even is a cycle, then this is about the best ending you could hope for, given everything that's happened.
Seems like a lot of complicated stuffs for smt who isn't really relevant anymore ? Don't get me wrong, it would have been good to do smt with Arvern, but changing her death, possibly fucking the timeline, I feel like this would be hard to implement, especially in a DLC
@@Rovelius39X7I choose to believe this broke the cycle instead of causing it, if only because Arven deserves to be happy too, even if it isn’t our Arven
I feel like since the theme of Scarlet is “past”, instead of an AI Sada it should’ve been a situation where present Sada brought a younger version of herself from the past. Course that would’ve meant some slight story tweaks to make it fit perfectly but it would’ve given the ending to Scarlet a bit more character. The AI thing for me really only fits for Violet, whose theme is “future”
There is a theory that teracristals makes imaginary things real, so it's not a story about past/future, that could explain why the paradox pokemons are "paradox" and not past/future pokemon. Some of them doesn't make sense to be a past version (magneton (magnet), amoonguss (pokeball mimic), or the legendary beasts (created by Ho-oh not that long ago in the past)) and why would the future pokemon all be robots? The're all imaginary, the're what the scientists thougth could be past/future pokemons. It also explains the AI, in both versions, it tells us that an AI like that is impossible, and when we beat it, the AI shatters like teracristals. When pokemon terastallize, they gain a type that makes no sense, like a water type charizard. Terapagos having a new type, the "stellar" type, that is all the types fused, it's insane, even Arceus (literally GOD) is normal type and needs plates to change it. I like this theory, it explains everything that made no sense, because it's supposed to make no sense, it's imaginary.
And if you show Arven the book, he'll just assume you got it from the school. Would've been nice if we could warn the professor about the dangers of the machine and what Arven had to go through
Honestly I was disappointed with this part. We know that Sada died in Scarlet and Turo died in Violet, the AI says so. And we know that Sada disappeared in Violet and Turo disappeared in Scarlet, so I was hoping that the one that disappeared would show up here and it would be permanent, AND they'd bring their own book! So Sada showing up in Violet a decade and a half after she vanished from Turo's and Arven's lives, bringing with her the Scarlet Book? It would be so cool! We could take her to the lighthouse, call up Arven and they could have a reunion! He'd at least get closure for one parent, and she could take us (Player, Arven, Nemona & Penny) to Area Zero and open the time machine with the Scarlet Book, then we'd get to do some special 5 star tera raids for Stellar type Past Paradox Pokemon in Violet, and once we got all of the normal ones we could do 7 Star Raids for the Legendary Past Paradox Pokemon. Of course the opposite would happen in Scarlet, Turo shows up instead with the Violet Book, we meet Arven, they get to talk, and then we head down to get the Stellar Tera Type Future Paradox Pokemon in Scarlet.
