Regarding the scotwind auction: The ScotWind Leasing round resulted in 20 option agreements, generating £755m in option fees, with an initial average Scottish supply chain spend of £1.4bn per project developed (20).
Remember during referendum Salmond stated as fact that Scotland would earn £50 billion in oil revenues next 5 years-£6billion was the actual figure . Wasn't economically viable in 2014,independence still not economically viable.
Is that figure due to the British government being the only government in the world to ACTUALLY PAY OIL COMPANIES AND GIVE THEM TAX BREAKS? No wonder the revenues were so low. (Of course these measures resulted in extreme profits for the oil companies who then shared those profits with their shareholders, many of whom were front bench MPs. What a strange coincidence. Corruption runs SO DEEP in the UK).
A nonsensical statement. The independence support is rising still. Unless you can show me evidence to the contrary. 57% of Scots feel it is time for another referendum.
These podcasts are great, thanks
Thanks for the podcasts. Interesting that the sound quality on this platform is much better than Spotify. Might start listening this way in future.
Good news about the perception of the Brexit damage. Independence is not remotely dead

Doesn't seem like a large investment to reap benefits more than 20 times over.
Lots of buyers remorse from labour voters. One wonders why
With a 10.4 % fiscal deficit compared to 4.5 % for UK there would be a lot of remorseful Yes voters if had got indy.
