Your average Scot would be more free, happier and better off like other independent European nation states of equal size. That was true in 2014, it's even more true now (thanks Brexit).
As someone who is not Scottish but has studied the history of politics in Scotland, it's clear to me that Scotland is treated as a junior partner by Westminster, with its voice often ignored and its resources exploited. Despite contributing heavily to the UK economy through North Sea oil and renewable energy, decisions about Scotland’s wealth and future are made in London. Major policies like Brexit and austerity were imposed on Scotland, despite the Scottish people rejecting them. The UK government also refuses a second independence referendum, denying Scotland the right to self-determination. Independence is the only way for Scotland to control its resources, shape policies that reflect its progressive values and ensure its wealth benefits its people.

Scotland is unlikely to ever attain full independence, as many believe that it would struggle to sustain itself effectively without the support and resources provided by the United Kingdom. The challenges of self-governance, economic stability and international relations may prove to be insurmountable for a nation that has long been integrated into a larger political and economic framework. Therefore, the notion of Scotland thriving independently raises significant concerns about its ability to navigate the complexities of nationhood without the backing of its more established counterpart.

I think you are a lot poorer due to the SNP's incompetence open your eyes and see them for what they are corrupt politicians. Like them all. I mean look at what is happening with drug addiction, alcoholism , all your little towns are boarded up very sad. I think you should stand together without the help of the SNP if you want independence. Sadly there are no other parties that could help! Good luck with that.
2.4 million Scots didn't vote to remain in the corrupt EU.
@@pp-cb8db poorer due to SNP incompetence? but it's UK economic policy Scots are subjected to. Thanks for proving my point.
Also, I left UK after Brexit and started a family elsewhere. Like many young Scots.
@@Aklith I still think you feel that SNP have been short changed they are a dreadful party like Conservatives and now Labour. The EU are very corrupt also. I do not have any answers though it seems all politicians have fine ideas and then grease their own palms when in power.
All across the uk in wales, northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland there is massive dissatisfaction with Westminster I think to solve this the uk should become a federation like Canada or Australia with a lot more devolution for Scotland, wales and Northern Ireland and have regional assemblies in England i believe this would do a lot to resolve the current dissatisfaction and tension that is being felt with the union all across the uk
😂 more revolution
Does that mean I’d have to don my kilt and charge from the hills 🤷♂️
I agree with your solution as long as each nation in the union had an equal say. I don’t think England would accept that though
@@graemeroberts7367 typo error it’s meant to say devolution

UK is smaller now after leaving EU, the political wankers want to make it smaller. Scotland has no currency of their own since the 1700s, so trying to use the Euro might be difficult.
@@geoffreylee5199 😂 using the euro might be difficult 😂 😂 yes we all walk about Spain and France wondering how to buy things because we find the euro so difficult
