Cute Moves
Anas Sarwar has announced a U turn on Scottish Labour's stance on Winter Fuel Payments. If they form a Holyrood government in 2026 he has pledged to reverse the cuts and reintroduce the payments to pensioners on a universal but means tested basis. What lies behind this sudden change of heart. Political expediency in the light of recent polls and upcoming by elections? No matter his reasons it does present a challenge to the Scottish Government. How will it respond? How should it respond?
The row over Stephen Flynn, and other SNP MPs , plans to seek a dual mandate in 2026 and become MSPs rolls on. Lesley has always highlighted the accident of the election cycle for the absence of so many talented SNP politicians from Holyrood. Why is she so opposed to Stephen's bid?
How damaging are the revelations to the SNP of the use of ministerial cars to attend sporting events? How naive were these politicians to how this would look given the furore over Starmer's freebies?
A lot has been made over the proposed appointments Trump has made to his Cabinet with much of the focus falling on Robert Kennedy Jr and Matt Gaetz. However in terms of foreign policy the nomination of Mike Huckabee as US ambassador to Israel has tended to go unreported. Who is Huckabee? What are his beliefs and why should all who believe in a just peace be concerned?
Meanwhile the 30 day deadline imposed by the Biden administration for Israel to take specific steps to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has come and gone with none of the promised "consequences" coming to pass.
This denial of genocide was not only echoed but amplified by Sir Keir Starmer at Westminster. What is the UN definition of genocide? Is Starmer a hypocrite given his stance on Serbian actions in Croatia before the ICJ in 2014?
The narrative of farmers under threat after the changes to include them in inheritance tax is picking up pace. What's the reality?
Talking of reality Femke Halsema the Mayor of Amsterdam has signalled her regret at claiming there was an anti-Jewish pogrom after the Ajax v Maccabi Tel Aviv football match. A welcome retraction but is it too late?

Lesley was at the Scottish currency group conference and like most of the audience, was struck by Dr Jon Egilsson's contribution. He warned against handing over control of a new Scottish currency by joining the euro - still a mandatory condition for new members of the European Union. saying that despite the mess Iceland landed in 2008, it was having its own currency that allowed the country to ...

Denmark is the most civilized country in the world‼️ In the US I can only hope we will care for our seniors & disabled as well as Denmark.
you really make me want to visit Denmark soon. thanks for this wonderful video
Am a lover of good cultures and am a Christian seeking to know the world more and learn about people and their cultures
One of the most genius taxes in Denmark is the cost of a households 3rd, 4th and more cars. Because if you’re getting your 4th car you can clearly pay a large extra tax compared to a family who only owns 1 car.
Really, i don't believe there happy. Never meet a danish nice person. Tired a fake videos that hide the truth.
Try living here in winter,u will love the bicycles with Dresses for destination 😂
Charlies better behaved than my cat , which would be roaming about the car if I let him out..
Charlie’s obviously glad to be out of the vets 😊
Greetings from Denmark. ❤ Bull...t Psykofarmika is prescibed in enormous amounts. Happy? Content? No... subdued!
Failed Westminster MPs trying to sneak into Holyrood, what could go wrong? Stephen Flynn wanting to oust a siting SNP MSP! You couldn't make this shi* up. I despair.
Let's be clear of one thing, Denmark is not a happy country, you either follow the instructions, or end up in total ruins. - The Dane happiness model : Obey the openly corrupt government, comply!, mind your own business = alot of egotistic sheep, and if you think the taxes pays for anything OR you need help from the council/doctors/mental health etc for all the money you "willingly" pay every month, you are screwed if you don't pay cash and will be put in line, and end up dead before getting treatment. Danes are more likely to be sedated on meds than darefully stand up, they gave up, and most Danes are selvcentered persons, friendly on the outside but that's it, morals suck here. - There IS something rotten in Denmark, and the people are a part of it...During world War 2, Danes rolled the blinds down and put up not one fight, Viking you say?!...Nope, Sheep barking that they are happy so the whole world hears it, but truthfully lying in opression and scared to fight the injustice going on. - Im am a human, born and raised in Denmark, som by definition to some a Dane, but this is a country making me sick, it destroyed my family, and health. - Do not move to Denmark if you have small children, the government loves snatching children from parent's. - If not "rightfully", they will just fabricate your government files ( Akter ) and destroy you as a person, and then take your child.
Beautiful. So glad that this exists.
I want to live here
I wish she spoke more about basic life in Denmark. Instead of net 0 and their nanny state.
Do something! Have u ideas. Mine include nominating a Scottish president to open new developments when charles windsor can't be arsed. Someone who lives in our country
I pay 39 % of my income, but I have no problem with that.
Dont believe the hype..... There is somthing rotten in the state of Denmark.
I came here becoz of Miss Universe 2024 Denmark
At ca 38 minutes - The Amsterdam football incident - There is not the slightest doubt the trouble was initiated and escalated by a segment of Maccabi football supporters - Yet what followed via the media (and assorted politicians/officials) was jaw-dropping both in it's audacity and high level orchestration - There is no doubt whoever initiated this cover-up succeeded, but at what price to the integrity of journalism and politics ? - Did they really believe they could convince the citizens of Amsterdam to unsee a bunch of yobs running riot in their city in order save Israeli embarrassment ? Sky did themselves no favours in engaging in this blatant propaganda, none of the established media did....
The video quality is incredible, the scenes are as vibrant as seeing them in real life
Thank you for this lovely introduction to this hopeful and inspiring country, I will remember this because I needed to remember that there are many who love this planet for the future generations ☮️
"the nation Scotland seeks most to emulate" well, Gaelic Scots and Danes share Scythian ancestry. Too bad they are "British", eh?
Wow! So cool! I want swimming in here
More faux concern about climate change. Tell us your yearly carbon footprint, then I might believe that you actually care about it.
My message to every Muslim, my brother or sister, the owner of the channel, I know that I do not have the right to comment on your channel, but as God bears witness, our circumstances are harsh and you forced me to do this, something. If everyone left Twitter, would you not worry that no one would be aware of anything communicated there? It seems to me that part of what went wrong with the US Election came down to the Right Wing having all of its podcasts set up so that all of its views would get aired but the Left Wing didn't want to participate on that platform so their messages were lost. If there is one thing Trump has shown he knows how to do, it is getting a particular view aired so that people will hear it - his supporters will swallow it hook line and sinker but at least they have been exposed to it. The Democratic Party can't say that they have done that at anywhere near the level of proficiency. As for denials by politicians, I'd say that the Labour Party is doing backflips to try to make it appear to the UK electorate that 'we won't do what the Democrats in America did'. Oh, yeah?
No wonder you feel a wee bit off your game (political pundits). SNP just don’t want independence anytime soon, Flynn forgetting the words to his masters song after taking the knee is just another Trougher edging his bets tbh
Excellent programme 👍
I think it far too over dramatic comparing the trump victory to the disappointment of independence. Seriously don’t see a Scottish perspective to this so far

Forgive me....but its obvious our elites have actually NO idea whats going on....they are completely lost in their "progressive" ideals.....which they have no details for (unless they're burning something down). This is "state-craft"....and they are propagandized SO much they are delusional....i'll pray for them but they are pathetic hulks of the elites that created the western culture.....losers.....
Leave the UK, Scotland.
I can't say I'm too impressed by subsidized, public kindergarten in Denmark -- we have free, public kindergarten even in the USA.
You moan and moan about the single billionaire who supports Trump, while ignoring the fact that 100s of billionaires supported Harris and funded her campaign. and who own media. You people are absolute clowns. Total clowns. Half-wits. Idiots. Pompous
Awesome content as always guys 👌🏼👍🏼🏴
Stephen Flynn should stay in London with the rest of the turncoats, Holyrood should be reserved for true independence supporters.
The strength of the English empire is that they smother people with tolerance. Classic example is Bernadette Devlin aka McAliskey. Scottish MPs enjoy being in London but that doesn't help Scotland.
Hard on the heels of Sturgeon getting £75K for a book advance and £25K for a TV appearance and now a Comedy Festival appearance. Flynn! One man one job!
I have Danish blood and I’m researching how to live there. The US is more than half BatShitCrazy and I’m sick of all the greedy, ignorant, fat dumb hillbillies that have infested this land. Americans complain about everything including me complaining about Americans.
Flynn rejected double pay. So no greed!!
Stop with the climate nonsense. There has been no increase in the frequency of extreme downpours in Spain, in fact the trend is for a slight decline. Spain has been removing dams in order to restore rivers to encourage restoration to their wild states and to benefit fish migration. Those dams were installed to prevent flooding such as this. Another Green program gone awry. Valencia had a similar flood in 1957.
Lesley Riddoch whose contribution means absolutely -UCKALL. DONALD “TANGO” TRUMP and “PISHY NAPPY” JOHN SWINNEY?? Two countries that are totally -UCKED. -UCK INDEPENDENCE and -UCK THE SNP SCUM NATIONALIST GOVERNMENT. WHAT A LOAD OF UTTER -HITE.💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
The excellent Led by Donkeys film was projected on to the Tesla European headquarters building in Amsterdam.
Not sure you can charge money to licence blocks to oil companies, then tell them once they find oil that they can't exploit it. Last licensing rounds were like a fire sale, partly because of climate denial and partly independence worries. Hong Kong has a really good system for typhoons and closing shops and offices. Places that historically haven't had the same weather extremes could learn from them.
The literally millions of voters illegally purged from voters’ rolls, especially in the swing states, probably helped a bit too.
I'm not really disagreeing trying to start a fight, but you canny say Trump winning was a shock. The polls were very tight and then he won. He has already been the president, so we know for sure he can win. The incumbent offered very little given people living standards had been hit hard.
The Democrats may have lost votes due to the support of Israel in its genocide of the Palestinians.
👍🏾👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
I also pay +30% on income tax in Spain, but the country looks poor compare to Denmark... It is not only taxes on wages, it is also the economy, some countries do not have industries with such a high value added output, and in the world there is no place for many Denmarks. Global system works by the principle of someone wins only if others loose, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Ireland are not the models for all EU countries. Each country have to find it's own source of growth and competitive advantage that guaranties a high standard of living for the citizens, that only happens if the profits are shared and no corruption is present. On the other hand and arguable, some green transition and infrastructure decisions will only work in central Europe climate, I do not thing anyone would enjoy cycling on +30C 4-5 months a year on an uphill city in south of Europe, also there is no much cycling either in Denmark for 2-3 months in winter, bikes are the best short commute solution bot not all year round....
Its a country with an increasing number of people being hacked by an increasing number of sociopaths. Finding peace is getting harder and harder
