1979 Chrysler Sno-Runner Gets Some Major Upgrades!!

- the last video of this sno runner I took it off the shelf and got it running but the track literally fell apart. so I decided it would be a good idea to upgrade the track and I mean might as well upgrade the motor too lol. so with some spare parts I had kickin around and some bargain basement deals on a 7.5 horse power 212cc engine from princess auto I built my own version of the sno-runner....I call it the Beer Runner now! I think it turned out sweet 🍻 shout out to Nick Dart for the awesome stickers and to Brett Leier for the wicked music we use!

Ingenious engineering Pete! Nice one! She goes through the snow now..unlike the original version. Love the snow snake medicine dispenser....nice touch! I want one! 👍
Wow! Very impressive Pete! Fantastic job. Your personality, skills, positive attitude and hobbies make a great recipe for UA-cam videos! You channel is going to grow to big success.
Thanks for filming and editing these projects to share with us ! (For free to boot!!)
Couldn't agree more! Very happy I found his chanel, and always great to see a new video!
You can drink a few beer and never get hurt on the old one not fast enough,,,the new upgraded version is pretty friggin cool great job seems to run and turn pretty good,,faster then I thought it would go
Pete you’re nothing short of a redneck genius. I only wish you were my local mechanic here in northern Ontario (Sudbury). I’ve watched every video of yours - you’re very entertaining and have a great crew between High-tech redneck JP and McLeanski and the boys. Wish you all of the UA-cam success, I keep recommending your channel whenever possible. 🤘
Wow, thanks! that's awesome! cheers🍻
dude im from Sudbury too lol! small world
I'm an Irish immigrant to Canada and spent almost a year living in Sudbury. I now live with my partner and children on a reserve Northwest of Sudbury in a place called Heron Bay.
You rule Pete
I'm from Sudbury too! Well....Sudbury, Massachusetts.
That thing is sweet!
The intake "manifold" is scary, though. It's gone, "if" it gets laid on the right. If it was mine, that would happen about every time it snowed!
I’m here for the commentary as much as I am for the wrenching, great videos
Pretty sharp , good fabricator .
Hopefully you guys can put more videos out.
We got a little bit of snow now , so hopefully we can see some speed runs with the big bore sleds,
yeah hope to get the sleds out on the lake soon for some radar runs! 🍻
New lucrative business. Need to smuggle bud light into Canada and small engines out... Might have some first hand knowledge about the first... The second seems much harder to get around the duty....🤣🤣🤣 Awesome build! Cheers!! 🍻🍻🍻
🤣 cheers! 🍻
That’s awesome, great job 👏🏻 Beer Runner 🍻
Awesome idea Pete! My son and I made kind of the same thing out of his mini bike. Looks like fun!
Pete!!! Freaking awesome. Great work!!! Nice one!!!!!!!
F..king great stuff Dude! More like this!
What an Awesome friggin build man. You now have size and girth.. Nice one
Awesome, just plain awesome! Just proof that Beer really does provide ingenuity! Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Cheers! 🍻
Very cool!! The added Fireball is just right.
Hey Pete. NICE ONE! Great video and really cool fabrication. Looks really cool and great conversation piece. Seems like riding in a straight line is just hopeful. Wish I lived closer so I could drop by.
Nice one ! There was a kid that lived near me back in the day that had one of those.Didnt last to long if I remember correctly. The one you made would be a awsome pit bike at our local snow drags!
Pete you knocked it out of the park!
Wow. A big block Chrysler sno runner. Nice one indeed. Gotta love that redneck ingenuity. 🍻🍻❄
Thanks 👍🍻
Yeah, 440!
Those welds 🤣 but she's a nice one . Love it !!!
🤣 thanks 🍻
awesome job, you engineered it to be versatile, could even chopper that beer runner. Great video sir & enjoy that snow.
Nice job! It's amazing what you can do with the right tools, extra time and a few 6-packs!
You got that right! 🤣🍻
That there is a nice bit of fabrication. Congratulations 🎊
Yes bud! Get er done! Your videos always make my day so much better to watch!
Awesome! Thank you! 🍻
Epic!!!! Awesome!!!!!! Brilliant!!!! What I'm trying to say is NICE ONE!!!!!!
I really liked this video. It's a goodun 4 shore. I recall many moons ago, I was good with the Elan 250, set points, change pistons, replace a track and the like, it was the good ole days back then.
" NICE ONE " ,
Awesome Pete , thanks for sharing. Happy 2023.
That's one cool machine great job putting it together love to ride it .
Pete! That is incredible, NICE ONE👍
Thank you! Cheers!🍻
Pete cool upgrade! A longer ski fork will create more ground clearance at foot pegs and center connection. It also will lift the leading edge of the track.
not a bad idea! 🍻
I totally agree
Absolutely wonderful engineering you done a wonderful job she definitely dangles she's a nice one have a blessed 🙏 weekend amazing content love the bolt on bolt of system so well thought out
Thank you! Cheers! 🍻
Nice job they're sweet peet. Excellent entertainment you made yourself quite a little creampuff!! You going to have to Harley it up a little with some forward controls get those feet kicked up a real laid-back cruiser.
Well the comments are packed full of compliments. Your rear end probably feels chapped from all the sunshine that got blown up there. So I apologize for adding to that discomfort. But, I love your channel. Great job on that build. I'm sure you inspire a lotta folks to try new things. Keep it up.
lol thanks! it's great to see all the positive feedback 🍻
Good job Pete! Nice one!
Good to see someone actually set the belt deflection on that set up, most of the ones you see on UA-cam are loose as hell and they complain about belts and poor performance.
YIKES! BI ran a Suzuki franchise 1977-1984 and we had a Sno-Runner franchise too! Your "up=grade" is AWESOME!!! Well done!!!
Great job man! It’s a nice one for sure!!
Glad you like it! 🍻
Nice one Pete! Awesome build!
Thanks 👍🍻
An epic Sno (Beer) Runner creation! If you build up another machine for friends, make sure they know "Designated Driver Not Included"‼😜👍 Keep doing what you do‼👍
thanks! cheers 🍻
Kinda neat pretty sweet built by Pete. 😄🤙
This looks like an awesome project. Unfortunately i have to go to work, but I know what I am watching when I get home. Snow runners are awesome.

Very clever, Pete!
Generac makes very very good generators that’s awesome! 129 bucks holy crap man !
Very cool. You guys up north are slick. I live in West Virginia and love the snow but in the past 30 years the snow hardly accumulates. It kinda puts the brakes on winter activities. Great Vid.
Awesomeness!..looks like you had a lot of fun making it.
Now that’s what I call,,,,1 heck of a cool unit.
Nice One! 🍻
You did a great job on that
Great work Pete! She’s a Beauty! Nice one!
Thanks 👍🍻
The best thing to happen to a Chrysler product! We all know that MOPAR stands for Most Original Parts Are Replaced. No Dodge in my Garage Ever! Nice job on the fabrications
haha thank you! 🍻
Mustie1 has been working on getting one of these working, two videos so far. Well worth a watch.
I'll check it out! thanks 🍻
Love these things. I'm in Ontario too and am jealous of the snow that's in this video. We have squat.
Nothing like starting the vid with a track stand lol... Good shit Pete!!
Dude I love it !, I'm gonna build one. Nice job pete
Dawg!!! That is BEYOND RAD!!! You should take it for an ACTUAL BEER run from where ever your local LQ. shop is. Put a Temporary rack on the back to carry your beer back in!! CooooooL Beans!
haha thanks! yeah I've got an idea of a way to hold a few beers on the back of her 🍻
Nice one Pete 👍👍 cheers 🍻
Thank you! Cheers!🍻
That thing looks like a blast!🍻
That's an awesome build Pete! Very impressive and looks like a blast. Now, maybe it just needs a little more power lol!
You got that right!🍻

Absolutely love it! Cheers to ya on that one for sure! Maybe do a experiment an drop a couple tooth smaller sprocket from the sixty tooth to a 52 see if ya get a smidgen more speed. May handle better? Just a thought.
This thing is awesome !! 🙂 Pure genius 🍻
Glad you like it!🍻
That is one badass machine. Just found your channel. Your the man 🍻 cheers
thank you! cheers 🍻
it made my day much brighter.
That’s awesome!! Real bootlegger machine there pal. 🍺
Dude you completely F'd it up! You could've made a modern snow bike out of any bike frame and a Honda clone engine but that old bike is a collector.
Fantastic build!! Great job!!
Glad you like it 🍻
Way to go Pete. Love the Beer Runner.
thank you! 🍻
Entertaining channel, great build!
She’s a dandy machine great work, love the fireball flask.
lol thanks! 🍻
That's bad ass now that's thinking out side the box nice one
haha thanks! 🍻
Pete that is awesome. I thought I was the only one doing this. I am on my third build of these amazing Snorunners and am now building one with a quad chassis running a Tillotson 225RS which will convert from track system to wheels. My previous builds can be seen @ Snorunner Modified. Keep up the good work.
Very cool! thank you, I will check it out 🍻
I knew I pegged you right but DAMN your actually an engineer Sir! I'm pretty blown away by this work. I can do most sled work but Im student compared to Pete. If he developed his own sledline I see well built extremely reliable customized to fit the riders needs type of sleds.
That looks like a fun sled, I'd be driving that all day until the wheels fall off darn great work and video👍
haha well thank you! cheers 🍻
This is ridiculous....ly awesome. Great work!
thank you! 🍻
I've been dying for a set of tracks for my RZR and here you are tearing some apart. Lol
Effin amazing. Your conversion rocks the free world
Add a rack on the back to hold a case of beer, so it can live up to its new name! Great job on the upgrades, My brother and I had one of these when we were little, lots of fun until you try jumping a field drive and the track fell off.
lol thanks! 🍻
Mean looking machine! Great job!
Awesome video honestly makes my week! Cheers! Hey in the future is it possible to make more content on the SRX?
thank you! yeah I just picked up a SRX 600 that needs some lovin so I'll probably do a video on that one soon! 🍻
@@rednecksdirtyhands looking forward to it
That thing looks so fun!
Slick engineering..awesome..thanks4 da ride..eh!
Thanks for watching!🍻
Found your channel about a month ago great content I really enjoy your videos 👍🍻
Awesome, thank you!🍻
Wow, nice one Pete!! In original form I have to admit it wasn't impressive but you've created something that looks like fun now. You have perfect tight trails for the beer runner. It should do great for ice fishing shacks to get beers
Thank you! Cheers! 🍻
Thats awesome love it. Nice one!
Pete in the early80s I owned two of these Snow Runners. They were buried in a garage for a few years. I believe Mopar sold these cheap at dealerships with car purchases. They were fun if I could get them started🤨 The Beer Runner is a great improvement👍
thank you! 🍻
You've got a great channel man, loving it. Cool bike!
thank you! that's awesome to hear and I'm glad you like the channel, cheers 🍻
Ya need a sled mount. This would be a great ice fishing rig!! Drag your tent, drill, poles, beer in a sled and head out to where those walleye are hiding!
haha yessir! 🍻
Cool project Pete !
Glad you like it 🍻
That thing is just crazy i love it 😂
Nice one Pete. Very cool

Pete, that thing is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME !!!I've been watching your videos all weekend and I have to say, they're my favorite UA-cam videos of all time !! Your hilarious brother and one hell of a mechanic !!! I have a 1997 Polaris indy XLT 600 triple which I paid $400 for in excellent condition !!!keep the videos coming!!!!
Awesome! Thank you! I really appreciate the fact that ya think the videos are that good!!! sounds like your sled is a Nice One! 🍻
Love the build and the humor. Your awesome my fellow canuck🤙
haha well thank ya! cheers 🍻
Great stuff, you're doing the stuff I would be doing ifI had the means. Good to see a fellow southern Ontario guy do good. Keep it up, I can't wait to see what's next .
Awesome, thank you! 🍻
Wow, cool build!
Hi man I have two of those a really good friend had them in the shed he told me they run when parked . Glad your doing this video I was kinda lost not now thanks
That's awesome! I hope ya get them up and runnin! cheers 🍻
Instead of a ST. Bernard with the keg under it's neck, you have Pete with the beer runner under him! Pretty cool, next you need a full sized track with the IFS up front with two skis and a big enough seat for your girl on the back, with a Yamaha engine. Not sure you could turn but what the hell right? You could have a keg or Beer ball with the pump and everything BBQ trailer!
