I love this channel!! Great content and tips to help. Plus the comedy presented through your one liners makes your channel unique and fucking awesome!!
I was looking for beaver but found a cougar instead. Lol. You crack me up. The Misses is a good sport. So easy to work on the older sleds, designed with the mechanic in mind for the most part.
Man you need to have your own show and paid Big bucks !! Talented and Hilarious , videos keep getting better , nice shout out to Nish Guy , don't know him but obviously first nations like mysel.
Pete you are the most natural and talented mechanic on YT in my opinion. Youve been an inspiration to take on some projects for the summer. Picked up a ZR700 and a Kawi 440 Drifter for 700 for both. Lots of mechanicking in the future and your videos will be great help. 🍻 🍻 🍻
Pete. It's crazy but I feel like I know you and your friends. I've learned a lot watching your videos. I agree with the other RN DH Comentators. You should make your girl your better half. Keep the snowmobile videos coming.
Same thing happened to me. I had a '96 MXZ. Just died one day. Tested electricals .. all good. Carbs fully cleaned. All good. Tried a few other things. Nothing made sense. Then I glanced over and saw the plastic cap gone. Ugh. Drained the fuel, refilled, put some gasline antifreeze ... boom. Another great video. Great to see Christine (spelling?) again. Goofy couple you two crazy kids make. Love to come down to your shop some day :)
Nice one Pete! Beaver trappens doing pretty good too! 🙂 I had one old sled that burned down the LEFT/ hot side three times in the 20 yrs. I had it,due to a mouse nest in the fan shroud! I just cleaned the aluminum off the nikasil with muratic acid and installed new piston! Never really hurt the cylinder any.
Had a 01' Z570 fan cooled, What an amazing sled! Always started, always ran strong. Never left me stranded, fouled a plug one time on a first start of the year! Powered By Suzuki!!!
Thanks for another Great Video. Also a big Thanks To your Girl Friend for all the behind the scene work that she does and working on getting the merchandise ready! As always Keep er Going and CHEERS!!!
OMG! I had no idea about those plastic plugs under the bulkhead for the front engine mounts! Wish I would have known that last year. You rock Pete, thanks for that tip!
@@robertanthony9674 I've never removed the bolts. I've always just pulled the nuts and lifted the motor out. It is VERY difficult to get to the driver side front nut when you have electric start because the starter motor sits on top of the nut.
Another Mainer who loves your videos right here 🤘Pete and ol Peg from zipties and bias plies are two northern neighbors I'd love to have a cold snack with
Sesame Street and cold ones in the same video is like watching a timeline of my life sleds included. I think checking the bottom end in addition to checking compression is a must.
Always enjoy your videos. If I could find sleds to work on a would have my garage full also .. problem being I can never seem to let them Go after I get them all fixed up
Mouse nests are the only thing that can kill a polaris fan cooled. I got my 97 trail for $200 thanks to those little angels. $200 in parts and it's now my favorite sled.
Great video! I had a few breaks myself, it's so nice to hear the crack and hiss of break time. Not a Polaris guy either, maybe usually found more than 1 or 2 on the trails with their hoods up. I ride Yomama's LOL Thank again!
Its a edge 550. No surprise there. Those are known for mid range issues. Oil pump cavitation. Lost mine that way. Didn't wanna rebuild it. Slapped a rotax 670 into it. Now she dangles!!
I made a successful 120 mile run this morning at 0430. I'm like hell yeah another RNDH's episode😁 very good video. Every good man needs a good lady, it's good to see you happy all the time on the show now I see why😁👍👍 I sold my SXR700, now I'm thinking of getting that ZL500 i been eyeing. I do have a nice 151 skid and track that I bought at a yard sale for cheap now I'm thinking Low Gear TimberCat for this summer's project.
That is awesome! and thank you, every man does deserve a good woman and it's pretty hard not to be happy all the time with Kristina around! I appreciate all the positive feedback and sounds like you might have a good little project there! cheers 🍻
@@rednecksdirtyhands no problem Mr. Pete. Like everyone is saying get married to that great lady you got lifes too short. Thanks for posting these high quality mechanic vids because they are very entertaining 👍
Jesus pete for a guy that doesn't really like Polaris you sure drove that beast around a bit lol. Good job though Pete keep up the good work from down town stayner Ontario pete nice work .
Common problem with those 550's! They run lean and blow. Need jetting to richen mixture or else it'll blow again! Too bad cause they're nice sleds but you couldn't give me one!
You know why Polaris parts are easy to come apart?? ..... Because they're always being worked on lol. They also say Polaris is the way out! .... Yeah!!!! outside to your garage to work on it..😁
Hahaha Awesome Bros. Thanks For The Shout out ... ur girl Nice woman. THANKS FOR SHARING! lol jks. If I see any tricks that I know of that you don't. I'll comment to it. Ttyl
That's a shame they went to the nickasil bore on the fan engines. Go back a couple years earlier and they still had the old Fuji engines that look like they got pulled out of an early 70s Polaris. Not to mention the mono head and head gasket, not a plan. Tough to justify rebuilding one of those.
the EDGE 550 fanner has overheating problems, polaris did not design these correctly for the chassis. Wedge, gen 2, iq, and pro-ride are all fine but the edge has problems.
Dang your vids are funny and entertaining as well as enlightening for sled repairs! Keep 'em coming.👍
thank you! cheers 🍻
Pete, you're a hoot!!!!

Damn you made me LOL with the mag side cylinder being married for a decade comment! 🤣 24 years for me. I can definitely relate with that cylinder.

that's awesome! and thank you very much!!! I really appreciate the kind words, and I hope ya get them just a Danglin!! 🤣🍻
My 550 Super Sport Polaris didn't have a tachometer so I bought a used one from Ebay. Plugs right in to wires under the hood. Works great!
the exhaust can get real hot and is right up against the fan intake
Pete. It's crazy but I feel like I know you and your friends. I've learned a lot watching your videos. I agree with the other RN DH Comentators. You should make your girl your better half. Keep the snowmobile videos coming.

Great video Pete, Dam you are so funny, keep them videos coming bud, hopefully you didn’t get hurt in that love shack 😂😂
haha thanks! 🤣🍻
Nice sofa sled! I think Polaris is the only company to offer a fan cooled, 2 stroke with a pull start these days and the 550 is a good motor.
Yamaha makes the vk540 as well
Great entertaining vids Pete. Keep them coming.
Thanks 👍🍻

There is a fix for it, I think it requires a little surgery and maybe a new part ??
