Richard is pretty mysterious, with the only constance in his appearance during the second game being him wearing the same rooster mask as jacket. It's worth mentioning that Jacket and Richard are NOT the same character, as Jacket is clearly human, while Richard is some sort of supernatural entity. To be fair, jacket never gets injured in his missions besides getting shot by Richter. Unless the player messes up and gets hit by a bullet and survives
as I listen to this music, I imagine Hotline Miami 2 having another ending, and the last level you play before you get that ending playing this song. I feel it's a really banger remix.
This should've been the final level music, in my opinion. Bring's a sense of cohesion to it. Also it being in the secret level near the end (if you know, you know) would be good.
Coming here to the comment section in 2024, and seeing everyone all in agreement over one thing: Hotline Miami has some of the best music, and the remixes add to that melting pot. We're in crazy times now, but focus on what unites us all, not what divides!

you know i always had a pitch for a hotline miami 3 game, a kind of anti-sequel that doesn't really follow the events of the original but takes an alternate root, one where jacket survived the blast and now is on the run from the police and is willing to fight off the 50 blessing lunatics trying to take over the USA, more like an action packed what if scenario.
