I feel like a lot of people here are kind of missing the point of HM2 -- and more specifically the Writer's story. HM2 wasn't just a great sequel to an amazing game, it was a commentary on how people twist horrific events to fit their own narrative and miss the real reasons behind them. Everyone in the sequel story of HM2 is twisting or reacting to the events of HM1 in some way: The Pig Butcher sees the glorification of the killings in the form of a movie as an outlet for his darkest impulses, misunderstanding that Jacket's motivation was not destruction but to avenge his dead friend and the Girlfriend; the Fans all want to continue massacring Russians like Jacket did, but they're just hollow imitators without motivation or direction; Pardo, a cop, only knows that Jacket is famous and decides to imitate him by recreating what he saw investigating the scenes of HM1: bloody. grotesque murder, but ultimately his attempts get more and more desparate in an attempt to compete with Jacket's publicity; The Henchman knows his time is up and wants out, tired of the bloodshed and afraid of dying to someone like Jacket, but he, like the Fans, has no direction or objective other than to get away from the mafia, which ultimately just leads him back to it; Lastly, Evan Wright, the Writer, is one of the only characters in the game who sees a glimpse of what's behind Jacket's mass murder spree, and tries to understand it. Evan even met Jacket in Hawaii, suggesting that perhaps figuring out why Jacket would do this has not just a financial motivation but also a personal one. Evan cares so much about solving the mystery of 50 Blessings, cares so much about writing this book, that he would fight through a subway station full of gangsters hell-bent on killing anyone nearby. All the while, he is struggling to keep his family life and finances together, and with the weight of the world packed onto Evan's shoulders, it's not very hard for him to give into his violent impulses. Evan truly wanted to know *why*, maybe because in Jacket he recognized how they both were men who had been teetering over the edge for a long time.
I don't get the reason why most comments says the intro suck. I frickin love it, it got the vibe with the synth mixing with the drums. Creating a damn good harmonic resonants between both sounds and it is just mesmerising.

This is kind of a strange atmospheric song, like I went down the green tunnel in Mario and got stuck while I just kept falling a ton of colors erupted from Bowsers Hell
This is the kind of music were you can just stare at something and just chill.
It's funny how you expect a huge murder when the song plays but no you happen to be the guy that can kill
Nick Yates You actually can
Nick Yates you need to kill 2 guys and acktivate rage mode than hes killing machine
Jokubas Stancikas But you get less points when you do this, and you also can no longer get points by removing ammo from weapons.
yes
What's the game?
I think this is my favourite ost. It is so awesome to play with this in background. ;]
lol, "the state, except you can buy cops now" sounds legit
don't mind me and my "anarcho-kalashnikov"
How much would it cost to buy a rocket launcher that shoots babys in a ideal Libertarian Capitalist society?
I cant wait to rove the countryside blowing up peoples houses with tomahawk missiles.
anarcho-capitalist is a oxymoron.
do you even NAP bro
except fahkeet
fahkeet is FUCKING AMAZING
Guy using ancap propic makes a comment, replies are about politics rather than the video's/comment's content. Classic internet people.
I love how devs put good songs that fit the story.
0:00 - "Nah this sucks"
0:21 - "Oh wow, nevermind, it's kinda good!"
1:25 - "Man, this is amazing!"
2:29 - "HOLY FUCK!"
3:12 - "I AM SO SORRY FOR EVER DOUBTING YOU"
I got a spray of goosebumps at each of those times.
Play the "Subway" scene from Hotline Miami 2. You'll love it.
Quick Scope What do you think is the reason why I'm here?
Evan's Misadventures, of course.

Apoco si tilin?
First time hearing this: wtf this is not enjoyable
Second time: i can't wait for the end so i can play it again
this song is a clear example of not judging a book by its cover
Dont judge a music & song by it's title*
You know I feel like this would perfectly generate the emotion of John Wick 3
Like used in an erie murder spree against a huge amount of Assassins inside a building
Yeah, and have it so that the actual gunshots fade to silence and he's left with only the music as the lights of muzzle flashes erupt all around.
That would have been awesome if they did that
I listened to it with the love of my life, now it's gone, but like this, the music and the game stay in my head, I love it, masterpiece.. peace in mind
Эта песня как снятие оков с шеи особенно в момент кульминации, побег от себя старого дабы хоть секунду быть новым.
БЛЯТЬ,ДА! Ты смог описать то,что я ощущаю,прослушивая это!!!
Гениально
3:08 Button for you and me.
I never knew Evan could kill people in my first playthrough lol
I was so confused why I had such an "easy" time S ranking his levels compared to my friends, turns out you score like 3 times as many points when you go non lethal!
the epitome of "hey wait a minute this song gets so much better."
Every HM Quotes
"Oh what do we have here? You don't know who you are?"
"I don't know you. You are not guest of mine!"
"You're dead meat"
"Show some goddamn respect"
"I was born with thick skin"
"Don't worry kid, it's on the house"
"What are we waiting for?"
"Gotta get a grip!"
"It isn't lunch time?"
and the best...
*leaving this world, is isn't scary, as it sounds*
"is isn't scary"
"fuck you too"

*_You forgot it's on the house_*

When I heard this song for the first time, I bought both of the games just so I could hear this play in its level. Came for the music and left with two amazing experiences.
Statement = True
It's a shame this artist isn't producing anymore
Well, that was a lovely drug trip.
Gotta get a grip
I listen to this song a lot, and this is the first time I saw those faces in the background. They kinda remind me of Henchman and Son.
Bro made like 3 songs and left this planet 💀💀

"I need time"
"time is the one thing you *dont* have"
songs to play when everything that could've possibly gone wrong went wrong, and you've lost everything, but you're still going anyways. it's "resorting to drastic measures" the song
There's just something about the intro that sounds off beat when the drums come and it makes it soooo good.
I played this song on loop for 50 minutes while scrolling down in the comments section of a video from The Onion to find the legendary comment and it never got old
This track makes me feel alive in a very visceral way.
when you find the guy who gave you the cheese touch
Love the disjointed melodies and overall anxiety/dread inducing vibe of the intro..i could go for a song thats all disturbing noise like that. Fits the white noise that is the thoughts inside my head on a daily basis.
Then check out Daughters, not as trippy as the HM soundtrack but definitly equal or more in violence.
