Hello, I am a 170 average bowler in my weekly bowling league. My ball speed is between 10.5 and 12.5 mph. I am 75 years old. On drier lanes I tend to cross to the left too soon and I was thinking about getting another ball that would have less hook on drier lanes than my Radical Quick Fix (purple). Watching videos on UA-cam, I think a urethane ball such as the Storm IQ 78 or the Hammer Black Pearl might work for me. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you.
More videos on the way. As I build my arsenal with the new releases, videos will pop up. I won't be getting every single release every month, so it looks like for now I will be doing one or two balls per release set.
Bowling at one of the harder houses in the area, on average 5 to 10 pins lower in average per bowler than surrounding houses, this ball is amazing. The big thing people say about this particular 42 ft house pattern is that it is difficult to puck up friction out of the back end of the pattern leading to a lot of flat hits. I.E. no flip. Not so far with this ball. Of the 20 or so games with it I have a low game of 212 and a low series of 719. Two nights ago I shot 720 on the nose and the next closest series, out of 10 bowlers on the pair, was 616.
@@ObjectiveEthicsI was throwing the Sensor Solid. Had the front 7 with it. But flat 10'd 8th and 9th, and barely got the 5 out during my first 2 shots in the 10th. Knew that ball was starting to burn up and it was time to get out of that ball and get into something that had more response downlane.
@@WhiteBeltBowling to update, now up to 8 series and still a low of 719 but now a high of 788. Big test on Sunday though. 7 game marathon on a 35 foot pattern. will be interesting.
I actually wonder how a Black Widow 3.0 would do with my style.. Lefty only uses index&middle digits Reverse spin, hooks at majority of my spares too Average is 162 only started 3yrs ago High revs but low speed 11-12mph But can make the ball do the work as they say
This ball is very versatile, so as long as you have a Pro Shop Operator who is able to work on your unique game, this will be a great step up from your typical benchmark ball.
Its the EXACT SAME BALL THE 2.0... and if you shine it... it will perform EXACTLY the same as the HYBRId 2.0... the MATERIAL used in shining completely and utterly removes any benefit the coverstock has as a solid. It will not be a step up or down from any Shined/Pearl/Hybrid that has the gasmask core in it. They all perform the saame when using Reacta gloss. The numbers are all the same... and the coverstock performs IDENTICALLY to the 2.0 solid when fresh surface is applied and drilled/thrown properly. Using a throwbot... the Hammer Widow from inception until now... all perform the exact same when thrown correctly if the surface is identicle. Anyone that says any different... is selling you a bowling ball.
Thanks for your reply. I do agree that if you have one of the Black Widows, getting another Black Widow would only truly work if you separate the surfaces and/or layouts. I am not necessarily one to bring multiple balls with the same core/cover at the same time, but I also don't typically stray from letting a ball perform at the box surface.
When a ball responds to friction, that means that the ball is transitioning from its skid phase into its hook and roll phases. Some balls respond to friction slower, allowing for a longer transition and smoother motion. Others respond quickly, allowing a sharper, more precise change of direction. This ball in particular fit the middle, where the surface allowed the ball to read the middle of the lane and create a smooth transition, but when it saw friction, bounced off of it and continued to drive.
How had I not found this channel til now? I could watch you throw all day
I feel better now after seeing this video. Thanks a lot.
You really just helped me with my targeting system, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!
Can’t wait to get that ball 👏🏾🔥

You made that ball look pretty good on that sport shot 🔥
More like the ball made that sport shot easier than the house shot!

Excellent video and explanation.

I just capped off a 782 for my new high sanctioned series with this ball. Used it games 2 & 3 for 257-257!
@@WhiteBeltBowling what ball did you throw game 1 for a 268? Why did you get out of that ball if you just dropped a 268 bomb?

Bowling ball cannot see is response off of the friction learn how to explain what a bowling ball does
