I've got a friend who is sponsored by Brunswick and he gets to test new releases early. He is super hyped for this new Crusher Hybrid, and he did some videos/vlogs about it and was throwing it this past Wednesday. In his opinion, the other Crusher was actually awful, but he LOVES this one, and I gotta say, side by side (at least with his throw) on the same conditions, this new Crusher looked WAY BETTER.
I'm 99.9 percent sure that HK22 is not an additive. It is the base that the coverstocks are created from. They add the additives such as ERT to the base to differentiate the balls and brands. ERT is a Columbia 300 additive.
Idk how I fell about the new black widow. I don’t really like that color. I don’t even think I need it. But that new dv8 ball looks so cool and good. I’ll have to see other people throw it and ask my pro shop if I can try it for like a game cuz they let us a lot of times.
My experience wh the cores. The widow is likely a touch cleaner through the mids but gonna be much stronger off the spot than the Effect. Gas mask just unloads down lane. Huntsman core was more tumbly and forward for me.
I have a Widow 2.0 Hybrid, and this is such a good description. “Unloads” is right on. Hard to describe unless you throw it, but mine just… goes… through… the… pins… differently…
16:00 fwiw, the base covers are different on the Crushers - HK22 on Crusher Hybrid vs. Optimize on o.g. Changing the base actually makes it WAY more different than if you went from hybrid to solid in the same base.
@@ZVLBowling My Crusher plays way more like a solid. It hooks early and is smooth on the backend. Really digs down into strong oil patterns. (doesn't make me want to by a Crusher Hybrid, though). SUPER excited about the Mania. Now going to call it the BWM. :D
Ebonite did what they did because I don’t think anyone bought and or loved the other hybrid so they threw HK on it. I believe it the og was a flop but they liked the core. Weird move by ebonite. In all respect ^^

Hk22-C has an additive that improves traction in oil. Hk22 is a base formula offering more response on friction and clarity for more color options.

That’s really good to know - by a side-by-side on the site it looks like the same idea so great to know they’re much more different than I expected!
@@ZVLBowling New version is also 1500 polished instead of 2000 sanded finish. New one is a skid flip ball and the previous one is a traction ball.

How does the Blackwidow Mania compare to the Blackwidow 2.0 Hybrid and Hammer Effect?
From what I can see, it's a mix of the two. The Mania will hook in the same spot as the Effect, but have a motion similar to the 2.0 Hybrid
