Good stuff guys! Just had to do the same last weekend for a bull I killed. Too much deadfall, had to pack quarters 1/2mile to horses. Makes for a very long day! Labor of love!!
Luke, your grandfather told people in Powell he was never sure if he shot the largest or the two bulls that were together when he took his trophy! Think about that.
Never understood getting excited about shooting something that far away. Bow only for me, up close and personal. Do love your about the only ones doing public land fair chase, quit watching all other hunting shows. Keep them coming. P. S. I’m 66 and still hunt solo in Colorado wilderness, doesn’t get any better.
Needs to be faster on the follow up shots when you pull that trigger you need to be jacking that next shell your just lucky you didn’t hit him on the first shot or he may have been hauling ass
If you two were alone, you had a visitor watching you ride by from 17:58 until 18:13 when it ducked behind the spruce tree on the left as you rode away
You have to hit him the first time to hit him again…😂 and if he did get hit the first time and didn’t go down it’s because you were shooting an ELDX on elk.
Great bull and great hunt. Eastman’s backcountry hunts are always my favorites and horses and mule are certainly a hunter’s best friend.
I miss those days of not being able to go hunting. Thank you for your sharing your adventure
Luke lives 2 streets over from me now . Met him the other day helping a neighbor . Good guy
I bet your grandpa was proud to hear that story! Fantastic job!

Nice having horses. One can cover a lot of country and of course if successful, makes getting one out easy compared to your back.

Area 51 in Wyoming near Pilot and Index Peak.

I'd like to go bear hunting by horse in Alaska that'd be fun
Hunted brown bear twice at the end of the peninsula. Never seen horses there and don’t think there’s any there.
@@rogerramjet7567 well that's because I'm not hunting for horse I'm being in my own
I wish you would do a horse hunting tutorial video
We appreciate your feedback 👍
You all need to have all of the hunting ranches and property's in the mountains seized and return to the public! Not bad
