- Hello plant amigos!! Its about time for a #hoyacollection update right!? I still have a lot outside despite it being Winter, but I thought maybe a porch tour would be fun for the upcoming Spring? Hello from Singapore! The large-leaved hoyas like macrophylla and latifolia etc come out really soft and floppy and then become more succulent and harden with age.
@@salmer3454 Hello! Thank you! This new leaf has already hardened off its been out for a couple months now I think and its other new leaves are much thicker than that one so its a little strange but Ill keep that in mind! 💚
You have so many beautiful Hoyas. Although I have over 80 houseplants, I've just started my obsession with Hoyas! I have 6 so far. They are more popular now which means bigger bucks so I will get them slowly. What kind of pots are you using instead of the net pots?

The mathilde... mine started getting lighter in color then dropping the older leaves even while having new growth in other areas... ended up being root bound, got a repot and doing great 😊 check the roots!🌱

Hi i love your videos and omg love your hoyas i do habe over 85 hoyas myself lol recently this summer got totally addicted was concerened with a few i recently placed in leca but feel confident as i saw them in your video in leca so feel better now lol ty
Yay!! Most hoyas do great in it but I always recommend taking cuttings and putting those in leca instead of transitioning them! I hope all still goes well 💚💚

Put your Hoya ilagiorum in a well lighted spot! It is a beautiful hoya, especially how the leaves arranged in the tendrils when matured. Your plant leaves are dark green due to lack of light.

I bought what was supposed to be 3 obuvata splash cuttings (1 leaf each) on Etsy and it came with only 2 leaves, 1 of which was already rotting upon arrival. The plant shop owner was supposedly on vacation when I wrote to him and said he would send replacements when the weather warmed up again and never did and now the shop is closed. Super frustrating. Anyway, the one leaf is still a lone leaf after almost a year! I'm not sure if they are that slow of growers or what.

I got into Hoya because of your channel. I would like to transfer them into either LECA or PON. Can you suggest which method is better for my Hoyas please? I have Kerrli, Fischeriana, Sunrise, Finlaysonii, Gracilis, Queen, and Princess. I noticed you have your Hoyas in both PON and LECA and it is hard to decide which one to use because I am very new at growing Hoya. Thank you so much for your help.

I dont thik ellipticas like grow lights or sun stress to be honest. Mine started to decline after a while too. I think they like to be cared for similar to polyneura in my experience
Its not near grow lights and only gets a bit of natural sun 😕 Its next to my polyneura thats doing great so its odd. I think it has something to do with its roots, but thank you!! I might move her and try to rehab!
I see you have a bunch of the hoyas in leca. I am just getting into hoyas so would you suggest this method?
Its great for cuttings but I dont recommend or like transitioning from soil to leca 😄 I have a playlist for semihydro!
@@LessyasLeaves I just got two new Hoyas one is rooted and the other is not so I was trying to determine which way I wanted to go. Thanks for the info.
@@tisasmith2796 I've had great success rooting hoyas in leca. Just moved a couple to Lechuza Pon to see if the rooting system becomes more substantial in Pon. (I had a Sipitangensis and "Mini Kentiana" that struggled in leca. I think that hoyas with more delicate roots have a tough time in leca.) Hope that helps.
Just a correction! There isn’t a species called Sarawak.. H.sp.Sarawak is a geographical designation . In this case it is Hoya latifolia.
