I think it's whoever can do it in the moment. Cuz I thought Sid was the one who did the background sound at the start of Spit It Out, but theres another show where Sid leaves the tables to be at the crowd and they all start the song without him Edit: I could be wrong but Sid appears to be at the far right of the turntable and is cut off just barely by the pan. So he still does the whooshing and "du-du-dun dun" sound effect, but looking at Craig's fingers shows that he does the drum sample
@@auratepes Sid definitely does the scratching, but Craig has to be the one doing the drums. I wonder if this changed by year or if this was a showtime decision, because it would obviously require some planning as to who was doing the drum sample so they were ready. Edit: this also explains how sometimes the sample would start randomly during 1999 and 2000 without the scratch.
I think usually Sid does it but when he's messing around Craig plays the sample, here maybe Sid pressed the button to play the sample and then leave the turntables, but in Monza 2000 he was into the crowd so definitely it wasn't him haha
Man the amount of accessories on Joey's wrists insane. I feel constricted while drumming with even a hair tie around my wrist, no idea how Joey was okay with all that lol
I've always like to think that the backing vocals use more technique to bring a more demonic\monster to represent Corey's demons while he has more human suffering agonizing despair in his voice
during tte shawn doesn't really do a scream, i wish I knew what it was. chris on the other hand was def using a technique and it got even better during iowa
@@doggo7764Probably just full on gutteral. He had quite the deep growls on until Vol 3 era and then his voice became about kind of a wheezing, breathy style yell whether by vocal strain or a different style. I always feel Shawn doesn’t get enough love for his backing vocals. About underrated when he really gets it going even more so sometimes than Chris who had some consistently good backing vocals.
I was somehow on stage when Korn played a concert here in MN. I was roadie-ing and just kinda stood there next to David on drums. It took like 3 songs for the crew to finally kick me off but I have a feeling if I did that with Slipknot Clown would have come over and checked me into the front row. I was lucky.
Watching all these Joey cams is making me buy my first drum set !!! When I was younger I had no money moms couldn’t get me one but now as I’m working I’m getting myself one 🤣 man how many times I played air drums to dynamo so I’m stoked if anyone has any info on joeys set up from this era it’ll be greatly appreciated!!!! I watch this full video everyday 🙏🏼
These shows have to be soundboard mix right? Theres no way whatever handicam was used here captured the sound like this right? Unless some quality room mics mux'd with the video. Either way sounds great dude all of your channels are fucking dope
All hail Joey's Snare
deadass sounds like a pot and a wooden spoon clanking against each other it’s so loud it’s weird
Fucking crazy ❤🔥
yeah snare is fine but this shitty bass drum sound,...
Aint from this world
Anyone know what snare he’s using ?
10:10 just a moment I like between Joey and Paul
Fuck it's so wholesome but it makes me incredibly sad at the same time 😢 R.I.P. #1 and #2
The best members of Slipknot the heart and soul❤️🤟🏼
This basically proves that Craig did the eyeless drum sample because Sid leaves his turntables and jumps into the crowd during the intro

@@reinerwongler7263 Yeah, but then the playback would just keep going and other sounds would start playing.
a sampler did sampling
Joey's snare was thunder ⚡
Indeed RIP best drummer ever

19:49 BASS
HOLY SMOKES
Just the way everyone in Slipknot enjoys their own music so much… my all time fav band
20:46 could listen to this breakdown for hours on end
I always look forward to scissors because they have the most freedom in that song
These Joey drum cams are the best Slipknot related releases in over a decade!!!
Really love how we can see them up close doing their different things
Also 7:43 that guy is ALL ABOUT IT
And 19:46 GUTTURAL

23:05 magggical when liberate starts man. Everyone goes from stagnant to jumping with their hands in the air.

So cool to see Joey playing rock solid and communicating with his tech at the same time RIP Goat
This page is killin it on the uploads!
Been waiting for this video for 20 some years. I forgot the next day. Ty
I love the orange county drum and percussion sound back then
Such a goat for this upload. You’re the only channel with full length Joey cams
I’ve got goosebumps
ive watched a lot of knot live videos. this is probably my new favourite. HOLY FUCK!
These Slipknot tapes are incredible, but there's a severe shortage of DETROIT material. The Harpo's gigs are in my opinion, the holy grail.
I think a fan cam of the full show leaked not too long ago. Not sure if a pro shot exists
@@loganrohr8573 I will check it out. Hate to sound like I'm complaining but those shows were crazy as fawk!
Im glad I got to see it..wish I could remember. Ty
SIC
Paul sounds beastly!! 🙌
Thank god Paul is so clear in the mix, his tone is so nasty
JOEY JORDISON EL MEJOR BATERISTA DE SLIPKNOT 🤘😎👌💣💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

@@spitfire666bassist soundboard audio for this one yeah.
Thanks for the upload. I was at this show. One of my favorite times seeing Slipknot. Brings back memories of one of the funnest weekends of my life.
なかなか曲始まらない時にほかのメンバーもドラムにトラブルかな?ってじっと待てるの素晴らしいですよね(笑)返しが小さかったのかな。
Why was Craigs AKAI sampler half wrapped in plastic ?
the chimps in the crowd throwing mud and the rain is my hunch
Maybe with damage by his headbanging where the needles of the mask hit it along with other things
I hope Disasterpiece gets a 4k master.
Disasterpieces is so overrated
43:00 Jesus Christ !
The drums were always mixed so good and the guitar tone always sounded like poop in the mix
23:43 i feel a little disappointed ngl
