I am only in chapter two of The Well-Trained Mind, and I honestly cannot put it down. And after looking up your name I am blown away that you have two master's degrees and a phd. I, like you have multiple degrees, but cannot agree more, that a truly educated mind will come only through deep reading. Thanks Susan! I plan to read your world history book next.

My oldest 3 were born in 1998 and 1999 and your 1st edition was the first book I found about homeschooling at our local library. I bought it and it was gleaned over almost daily for the several years of our schooling! The first one is special to me! I graduated all three almost three years ago and have three more to go - thank you for all of your insights and recommendations!
Thank you for the clarification on what has changed. I was on the fence about buying the latest edition. But hearing that the science section was revamped so significantly has put me firmly in the "buy it" camp. I have been struggling with the science portion of my curriculum for a while now even using the previous edition. I look forward to reading this.
