This series was quick bowling at it's best. Wasim and Waqar at their devastating best and on the other side none other than Marshall, Ambrose, Walsh and Bishop.
Arslan Majid, what went wrong that Philo Wallace, Clayton Lambert, Gordon Greenidge & Carlisle Best didn't play for West Indies in cwc 92, cwc 96 & cwc 99, please let me know.
Imagine this Akram and what we saw of Waqar in the first test and the Karachi ODI, didn't play a single test for the next one whole year. Few cancelled tours and poor planning costed these greats so many wickets. In fact in most of early 90s PCB was more focused on ODI tournaments rather than using the advantage of having such a fabulous side and playing more test series.
Sadly I clearly remember in this series, the number of overs bowled in a single day were hardly around 60. Due to the early sunset in December and late start.
Ohh my God. Tht ball went like a missile to hit its target. It wasn,t an inside edge. I watched it again and again. The old commentator got it wrong due to his aging eyes maybe.
