Hi Baz love your content! Is the Camshaft pickup ring in the correct position prior to removing the chain. Trying to use the locking tools to position this but ending up with P0016 (camshaft position not plausible) in the position on this video. Any assistance greatly appreciated
👍.I've I think a cause of no start can be a slipped chain. Corsa C. New pump, filter, pressure 50psi,, new crank, cam sensors, maf , throttle body cleaned, etc. Advice please?
Is it normal to have to change a timing chain? I think they are meant to last a car's lifetime! Are those chains more suiteable for a bicycle or so?! I own a Toyota 1.8 hybrid, and I don't think I'll ever have to change the chain, because Toyota uses a proper chain
yes thats because if the timing chain breaks that is the cars lifetime gone, lol, one of the only few things that completly breaks the engine apart from piston and cranks, and headgasket

Are oil additives any good? I have a 18 plate leon FR on a diesel 73k on the clock and I was thinking about putting that liqui moly in.
I've not used it myself but I see lots of good feedback from various additives

yeh mate happened to my son. Needs a new Chain. I chained everything before.

That isn't timing chain noise, it's oil filter drain valve, £10 fix
