I just sent a product to China to be repaired and China charged me an import tax. It was a product I bought from China and it needed repair and they're charging me a tariff... That Chinese company never paid a tariff when it sent that product to me originally. Why not

I'm a Democrat and a person who looks at the character and morals more than a party line and like him, quite a lot. I will recommend his life story in the Neflix movie: Hillbilly Elegy. It tells his roots and the life events that shape his character. He is a fresh mind, and we probably need more like him.

I can relate to this guy's story. I was married in Middletown, where we stayed in a tenement, then rented a trailer in Springfield. We ate a lot of meals at local soup kitchens there. Literally a week before the epidemic of kung-flu totalitarianism, we moved into a box truck and lived in parking lots around Dayton. We were homeless for a few years, eventually wandering to South Dakota and living in an old RV with no plumbing. We are now fixing up a nearly-condemned trailer, paid in full in cash, and I'm employed full time as a teacher. Now I'm free to live a simple hillbilly life and foster/adopt insofar as the Lord permits. I'm thankful for the optimism brought about by recent events. The comment about a homeland made me think about a passage in Hebrews 11 that also talks about a homeland, a heavenly one whose builder and maker is God. This is a useful reference because it is a rightful, human experience to be connected, body, soul, and spirit to home. To be willing to die for it is the natural outcome of people who have lived off its produce, and enjoyed its beauty, and shared a common language and values. God takes that experience and reminds us that the earthly homeland is merely a shadow of the perfect heavenly one. I can relate to this guy's story. I was married in Middletown, where we stayed in a tenement, then rented a trailer in Springfield. We ate a lot of meals at local soup kitchens there. Literally a week before the epidemic of kung-flu totalitarianism, we moved into a box truck and lived in parking lots around Dayton.
We were homeless for a few years, eventually wandering to South Dakota and living in an old RV with no plumbing. We are now fixing up a nearly-condemned trailer, paid in full in cash, and I'm employed full time as a teacher. Now I'm free to live a simple hillbilly life and foster/adopt insofar as the Lord permits. I'm thankful for the optimism brought about by recent events. The Biden years are soon to be a bittersweet memory.

Wow, finally an American political leader who can think and speak clearly. Been waiting awhile. I’d be voting for Trump just based on this guy. It’s almost like the parties have swapped colours. Great replacement if Trump feels the urge to retire and go back to his casinos or beauty contests.

The comment about a homeland made me think about a passage in Hebrews 11 that also talks about a homeland, a heavenly one whose builder and maker is God. This is a useful reference because it is a rightful, human experience to be connected, body, soul, and spirit to home. To be willing to die for it is the natural outcome of people who have lived off its produce, and enjoyed its beauty, and shared a common language and values. God takes that experience and reminds us that the earthly homeland is merely a shadow of the perfect heavenly one.
Thank you for reminding us of what God can do for us even in the imperfections of this government and these people. He is ready to help us live and love well in this place where he has put us. God bless the USA.
